I knew Amid the Ruins
would be the best episode of Season 2 just from the thumbnail alone. I kind of wished they would've incorporated all those figures in the background in some way and the blood on clems face.

Before you guys go crazy with all the laughing and stuff. Remember it's his/her opinion. I know, it's insane that people have different opinions then you do.
Comparing liking a game, to what Hitler did. Another amazing post by you my friend.

Yea, a couple of the pictures they had for the episodes have been misleading. I thought Rebecca would have her baby in episode three because of the picture. I thought the red paint on Clem's face would mean something but sadly it was just a cool looking picture. Still a great episode.

Pretty sure liking an episode of an awsome videogame is a far better opinion then only seeing people with blonde hair and blue eyes as perfect and feeling murdering an entire group of people is ok...
Its your opinion I know that but speaking for myself and many others this episode was FUCKING HORRIBLE. The episode was a mess the writing was trash and the choices (like holding a fucking bastard) makes me think Telltale put out this piece of shit as quickly as possible and expected us to love it. It was any flaws Telltale has rolled into one huge boring lob of shit. The Arvo Conundrum was dreadful, this episode is definitely the worst Telltale has ever made. (even worse than No Going Back)
Lets be real...episodes 4 and 5 saved the game bc half the world was bitching and crying through episodes 1-3.
This is without a doubt the best post to ever grace these forums, how could I be so blind
I respect your opinion, but, for me personally? I'd say one of the worst episodes of season 2, along with In Harm's Way.
I liked it a lot as well, It at least gave some screentime to every one of the group that they were continuing with.
Ep 1, 2 and 3 all killed characters with brief development to
WRONG
Ep 4 was awesome for the sole "fallen but never forsaken" and the not leaving anyone behind symbolism.
I didn't find it so bad but it sure isn't the best episode in the series...
Are you saying its your favorite episode, or are you saying its actually the best?
Wouldn't favorite and best be the same thing?
If Eddie was in this episode, it would have been the best.
When I got done the episode Amid the Ruins for the first time I actually really liked it. It had hard choices, the episode was long, and it was tense as hell all the way through. It was only when I came on to the forums that I had my doubts, but in the end it's your personal opinion that should matter most.
No, favorite is personal preference, while best is better than the others. (Acting as if fact.)
If Hitler had only had an opinion, that would have been fine. Its only when people act on the opinion everything goes to shit.
It was, it made me laugh.
Same, when I played it, I thought, "Wow, that was a great episode." But once I started to really analyze the episode, seeing other play througs and such, I realized what an utter shitfest this episode truly was. Of course, I respect the person's opinion, but a lot went wrong with this episode that, when you're caught in the moment of the game, you don't see and realize. Sometimes you got to look beyond the surface and peel back the layers, that's where you find the problems with this episode.
Seems the same to me, since this is all personal opinion.
I support the OP, unpopular opinions unite.
I call Clementine Boringtime.
True, but it's kinda heart-breaking because I would have been content with how the episode was if it wasn't for all the "problems" people pointed out, because most of them didn't like how the season wasn't turning out all together.
I wouldn't say that it's the best episode of the season, but I don't think it's the worst. I don't think it's as horrible as most people and critics claim either. Every episode has it's pros and cons, I thought In Harms Way was very disappointing-more so than Amid the Ruins. They did off a lot of characters between the end of episode 3 and episode 4, but not as bad as most say it is
Episode 4, no, Episode 5, yes. But to be honest, I enjoyed Episode 1-3 as well.
Can people who dislike the episode please explain to me why it was so bad? Is it just because they killed of Sarita, Sarah and Nick? The only one of those deaths that was poorly done was Nicks but the other 2 I don't get why it's a bad thing. Sarita dying improved Kennys character to either sticking by him when his being an asshole or building more hate for him. Sarah was a good to because it shows that you just can't help people sometimes.
I actually thought it was good. Interacting with Jane, Seeing Kenny's state after losing another close person to him. The battle with the walkers. The funny game with the racoon. Finding out that Luke betrayed the group. the cliffhanger ending.
Far better then A house divided, the only good thing about that episode was the ending when Carver takes over the group.
And I respect your opinion about A House Divided and this episode, but A House Divided > Amid the Ruins. AHD had everything that ATR did not.
We'll agree to disagree on Episode 5, but Episode 4 is worse than straight up shit.
Episode 5 was crap but Episode 4 was some straight up shit

My best friend is All That Remains.
Hard choices like holding a baby?
That's fine dude, and I respect your opinion about why you dislike ATR. I guess we see it different. Which is ok.
Agreed, we each have a different perspective and reasoning for liking or hating certain episodes, what one may hate, another loves. It all comes down to how one interprets a certain situation.
I liked amid the ruins....
And that's fine if you do, I have no problem if you do like Amid the Ruins, it's all a matter of opinion. I mean, I like In Harms Way and that episode gets more shit than Amid the Ruins.
