They are clearly uncomfortable around him and the way he is acting, and yet for some reason he's also the first person they assume will have… more a plan. That just doesn't make sense to me. Kenny is the perfect example of a designated hero I suppose.
Seriously, Bonnie and Mike are just there to serve whatever purpose the plot needs them for regardless of how inconsistent it makes them. Plot needs some characters to be personable and rational in comparison to Kenny and Luke's childish bickering in Amid the Ruins? Don't worry, Bonnie and Mike are here for that. Plot calls for a betrayal because the finale just isn't dramatic enough without it? Well, we've got Bonnie and Mike for that too!
Not really. Episodes 1 through 3 showed Sarah turns into a wreck whenever her dad isnt around, literally any moment separated she starts to … morepanic. This stems from being naturally childish, being sheltered and the situation shes in, Sarah may have improved somewhat from the full blown panic attack however she was no better in ep 4 than she was in ep 1 if anything she was worse this isnt about if she could have gotten through that particular episode this is whether Sarah had a chance of making it long term In my opinion based on the majority of the facts she didnt.
There is no evidence that doug has aspergers being a bit nerdy doesnt mean you have aspergers..... Im just about willing to think Sarah could have had very mild aspergers, however her simply being sheltered and naturally immature are more likely and there is actually evidence to that effect. Aspergers much like ADHD seems to be attributed to perfectly normal behaviour for some reason, these people are just a little different
Aspergers at the point where it should be diagnosed is the point where the person literally needs stability and routine to the point of repeat, they can't handle change without support, nothing from sarah and doug suggested that. Autism actually involves the person being permanently non responsive or only responding to trigger words.
What? Doug didnt have aspergers or at least nothing at all suggested he did.
It's a theory that's been tossed around the forum for a… more long time. There's no concrete evidence, but a lot of suggestions in Doug's general behaviour and choice of clothes. There's definitely nothing to prove he DOESN'T have Asperger's. It simply didn't play any kind of role in the story, so the writers allowed us to draw our own conclusions.
This isnt a discussion about whether Sarah is a good kind person; we know that however she is also naive and honestly getting gradually worse throughout the series as the border's she's built up fall apart. How does Sarah being tricked/bullied by Clementine into giving her medicine prove she is a capable survivor?
Thats what clem does in that scene, she clearly looks uncomfortable by sarah's behaviour and while grateful either tricks sarah by agreeing to be best friends immediately or says pretty aggressive things to her. Dont get me wrong clementine eventually becomes sarah's friend for real throughout the next two episodes if you choose however episode 1 paints it clearly as something clementine had to do to survive.
No better than in episode 1
You mean the only person who, no matter what, helps out a little girl when literally everybody else locked her in a shed to die horribly?
I think she could have been a good group member but there are no safe places or time to help her. Maybe if we could have found Wellington right after escaping Carver's camp she would have time to deal with her situation.
She could have, if her friends gave her a chance to recover from the shock instead of assuming that she's a lost cause because she lost her … morefather a few hours ago.
If the group could help Kenny, a guy who they knew for a couple of days, to come around after losing Sarita and hiding a camp to feel sorry for himself, why couldn't they do the same to a little girl they known for much longer?

You pretty much hit the nail on the head with Bonnie and Mike's roles, now that I think about their roles throughout the season.
