Clementine: The Bite

And we’re all pissed and sad to see her in this way right? Well, how about this; Clementine is a "immune" to the walker's bite? Interesting huh?

She's bitten, but not fully infected. Clem continues to survives with the bite. Slowly, and painfully, her skin begin to torn off, her pupils starts to turn pale and white, but she's still alive, but living in agony of the Walker Syndrome. Sometimes, her mind went off and started to feel hunger for flesh. She resists all the time of course because of her humanity left inside her.

Since the bite, Clementine can walk among the Walkers; as she is one of them. The Walkers smells her as one of them. Her sensory begins to enhanced, she can see other people can't see, she can smell things other poeple can't smell. She tried to isolate herself from another people, living alone. If she ever stumbles upon other group of people, she always cover her face with a scarf.

How about that? I can't write a fanfic because I'm too lazy. Maybe I'll eventually start writing it... in a month or so.

    I know it's fake.

I don't really think this whole fan fic...Although cool...Won't work in The Walking Dead universe. However go ahead and write if you wish.

  • The Walking Warm Bodies

  • Hey! Its GoldenPaladin. Haha. I'm writing as a... expanded thought on the Walking Dead universe. It's a "What if" more kind of situation.

  • For a twilight rip-off, its a pretty good movie (for me). LOL

  • Yeah, I'd done some readings on TWD Wiki and the article is really interesting

Most, if not everyone, on the planet within The Walking Dead universe somehow contracted the pathogen that, for reasons and through means unknown, brings the dead back to "life." It is unknown how the disease is spread, though its almost-total infection rate worldwide suggests it is either water-borne or air-borne. The exact taxonomy of the pathogen is unknown. The pathogen itself does not kill its hosts, but it seems to weaken their immune systems considerably, as even minor illnesses are far more fatal than normal to humans.

And this part helps me a lot:

The first cases of infection progressed through a state of fever, aches, and internal bleeding, and this illness ultimately was fatal. As seen on the MRI of Candace Jenner, the virus apparently spreads into the brain like meningitis. It apparently infects synapses, mostly concentrating on those in the brain stem. It eventually causes the adrenal glands to hemorrhage and the brain to shutdown, all brain activity would cease, followed by the major organs and the body would be clinically dead: no measurable brain activity, no reflexes, and no respiration or pulse. A variable time later, the pathogen, through some means, would revive synapses it infected and reactivate the brainstem of the dead body, but only the brainstem and not the cerebrum or cerebellum.

Yup, I need to alter some info about the disease to make it "logical" in TWD universe.

Besides, telltale won't do anything else but carry on with her as protagonist and it's pointless even discussing otherwise.

  • I like the fact that Clem will never be dead because of this, but with her constantly being in pain I don't think i could handle. I'd be too sad to play because I'd be too scared to hurt her by picking up a fucking pen or something, this is a good idea and everything and i'm not trying to disrespect it but I don't think I could handle with Clem constantly being in pain all the time.

  • How do you know she'll be the next protagonist? Telltale haven't confirmed that.

It's just the model of S2 Clementine, with the textures of the zombie Clementine from Lee's nightmare in Long Road Ahead

Well I would love to, but I'm writing other stuff. ;_; although it's definitely one of those stories I'd love to reaaad. But the face thing, maybe it could be from where she got bitten and it just never healed. Maybe she tries eating normal food but causes her throw up when she does or it just fails to make the hunger go away, so she eats animals that are dead or dying, or just the humans that are total assholes. Maybe she meets a group and at first they go to kill her, but then they start freaking hell out when she starts talking and don't know what the do with her! o.o

No Lilac, stop thinking! You're too busy! >.< oh god I wanna write it...

If anyone will ever be immune to the infection in the Walking Dead it will be in the comic books.

  • Im pretty sure the reason i want her gone (cant speak for george) is that shes boring, uninteresting, and unlikable as of this point in time

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but insults from Clementine fans will never hurt me.

Clementine is only eleven years old

Congratulations, thank you for pointing out the obvious.

The developers have already said PUBLICly that they are going to go another direction with the series.

Clementine's story is over. She got two seasons, its done.

The OP's idea is really good! And so are these! This whole scenario kinda reminds me of a werewolf scenario--typically the bitten person gets bit but they don't realize what's happening at first. Then slowly they start exhibiting symptoms, gradually losing their humanity and trying to fight the transformation into a bloodthirsty beast with no regard for the safety of their loved ones. It wouldn't necessarily have to be Clem who was bitten in this situation; it could be anyone really. But imagine for a sec it was Clem, and perhaps she had someone with her, like a guardian/friend who was with her when she got bitten, and they both waited for her to turn, but it just never happened. If they came up against some people freaking out when she talks, said guardian could say, "No really! She's okay; she's been like this for days!" Otherwise I think people would be more likely to shoot her on the spot in this situation, more so than the dog bite situation, even if she could talk. And oh, imagine when Clem and her guardian were alone, if poor Clemmy started to hunger for human flesh. She'd have to stop herself from feeding on her frienddd ahh T.T

...And depending on who you want the "guardian/friend" to be, this story could go in a number of directions....

Also, how Mr. OP was talking about Clem being able to walk among the walkers without them attacking her--could be a useful strategy, like if the group needed to spy on another group or scope out some area for whatever reason, she could easily just walk by as part of a herd, completely incognito. Perhaps also, if the walkers don't care to bite her (or maybe she gets bitten again but it won't do much more to her) she can choose to protect her friends who are in danger from the walkers, being kind of a shield between the humans and the walkers. o.o It would give the supposedly useless-child-perspective of Clem new purpose if she can legitimately protect the adults, for sure.

Then perhaps what if, after witnessing a great deal of fighting and general terribleness from the humans around her, Clem might start to like the solitude of walking with a herd? o.o At least the walkers won't fight with other walkers; they're just more like wild animals, stumbling around to survive. They don't even realize what they're doing is wrong, in taking human life. Compare that to the toxic environment some of the humans she's known has put her through. Not quite the same.

  • Actually I feel like this scenario is kind of the opposite of Warm Bodies. In that one, the zombie slowly turned back human, but in this one, human Clem slowly turns into a zombiee. Though I wonder if the coldness of others would have an effect on Clem's transformation to a walker here. E.g. Christa, although she took care of Clem the longest, wasn't able to give Clem much emotional support (though I'm not blaming Christa for that.) Still, Christa's behavior in "All that remains," according to Warm Bodies rules, could be the driving force of humans turning into zombies--remember how in the movie, people on their cell phones all the time ignoring each other made them into zombies? In this scenario, it's obviously the bite that semi-turns her, but it would be interesting to see what factors could speed up or slow down her transformation. Could depression make her worse? Loneliness? The fact that she's the only one of her kind--not quite human but not quite zombie--in an already lonely world? Could the faith of others in her help her keep going and not completely turn, and hold on to her humanity? Not romantic love, but just faith from friends, from guardians?

Don't you know? Never trust strange girls in alleys at night; they might be vampires.

That whole spying thing is a cool idea, with the walkers and stuff. Imagine, if she'd pretend to move like one of them too so nobody could tell her apart from the others. o.o maybe she could even be like a Clemmy shield for somebody too, like from any bullets and such since she'd probably be able to take it. But what if it winds up being some tragic ending anyway where the effects of whatever makes Clem immune don't last, because eventually her brain goes all screwy and she starts forgetting who she and anything else to the point of being unable to recall her own name, and all she can think about is eating some guy's arm and they have to shoot her!? T_T

Mat, do something! T.T I'm dying here.

Ahhh imagine if the others try to save her by helping her remember who she is, kinda like with Bub from "Dawn of the Dead." Maybe they try to bring her back to her old house in Atlanta, and find her old photos of her with her parents. Or if they came across the answering machine with still-working batteries, with her mom's last words... T.T It would tear Clem's heart out, but it'd bring her back. Or since that might be too unlikely or too sad, just finding any girl's room in an old abandoned house would work too. Like imagine semi-zombie-Clem seeing a radio-walkie talkie again, or a little play tea set like she used to have (like in that ep 5 trailer), or just some dolls, or in a corner, crayons and paper where the room's owner was drawing pictures before the ZA broke out. Across the room, in front of a mirror, a small photo of two parents with their little girl. Then change focus to Clemmy's reflection in the mirror, staring back at her. The difference is too much. Who has she become? Who will she become? Who can she become, if she can still become anyone at this point??
