Another Kenny thread that attracts people who hate his guts
If I had a nickel. At least you're civil about other opinions, OP, but I smell a lock incoming.
LOL at people being mad at kenny for yelling at them two years ago. Who cares, hopefully the S3 will be brand new, with new writers and new characters/plot.
he apologized
Basically my reaction to when he apologized VV
Alright here's what I say to him apologizing. It's exactly like … morehe said himself when Clem apologized (even if she didn't do anything) just because he's sorry doesn't mean it's going to magically go away.
And, so what if it's been 8 months since the episode released? Was there some hidden DLC in these last 8 months that I missed where Kenny made up for all his mistakes? If not then I don't see why my opinion on him would change.
I actually liked Kenny a lot more in S2. In S1, I sided with Kenny probably half the time, but I thought he was very selfish and like most people probably would, put keeping his own family alive. In S2 he's the same, but that selfishness was towards protecting Clementine and himself (and Sarita.)
I loved Jane and thought her and Clem would make a great team, but I kinda blamed her for Aj's disappearance...'how could you let this happen'. I didn't think she harmed Aj, but I didn't put it passed her to not do everything she could to save him....like whatever happen was 'accidentally on purpose' . I did think that it was something that may have been for the better in the long run, but when it came down to it, I didn't feel like Kenny had wronged Clem and didn't deserve to be killed by someone he loved and trusted- especially when everything he did was to protect her and was manipulated into a blackout rage.
I didn't want Jane to die, but I couldn't bring myself to shoot Kenny and Jane dies as a result to that decision. I wish it hadn't been life or death, b/c I would've gone with Jane, but as long as Aj was around Kenny wouldn't let Clem leave with Aj...and jane knew that had to be out of the way if she and Clem were going to leave. Kenny's more trust worthy imo b/c he's upfront about what he wants to do. He's not passive aggressive or manipulative to make things go his way.

Sort of. Eventually the Kenny hate will most likely get annoying like the Kenny love did. Like how pretty much any Kenny love thread gets met by "STOP, JUST STOP" Kenny hate threads will reach that point too.
I don't want to punch her in the face, I think she is pretty. Especially the eye-colour. (I think that's a character from Avatar The Last Airbender, but I'm not sure...my sister watches that show.)
Oh for God's sake, please people just stop making these threads!
Look, I know people like debating about Kenny but at the end of the day people who dislike/like him aren't going to change their minds. Discussing this issue just gets old and achieves nothing. I and a lot of people are getting sick of these same threads coming up again and again. No one's opinions are going to be changed no matter who says what. It would be nice if people tried to be creative with this thread rather than bringing up this issue again and again and again. I don't want to blow my own trumpet but I've made threads on what exactly is the disease and some other people have also explored these more interesting topics, whom I praise for their creativity. I don't want to offend the thread creator, as this is obviously an issue you care about, but threads on this issue already exist. If people could continue the issue on threads that already exist that would be great.
I know I won't change peoples minds and i'm not trying to, I'm a bit new to the forums and just wanted to see other peoples points or opinions about him, I have created a lot of other threads with more interesting topics (In my opinion), But I just wanted to talk about a character that seems to be "cool" to hate at this point, I couldn't find a thread about plainly why people like or dislike Ken, I only see Jane vs Kenny or Luke vs Kenny at this point, Sorry if I missed something, And don't worry, You didn't offend me at all, I understand the same threads are getting old but can't people just either ignore the thread or give an opinion on him, I somehow feel if I made this same post for someone like, Maybe Nate? There would be no issue, It is true, Kenny is basically the plague at this point.

It's time for more pointless threads about how "great" of a character Kenny is and just making a passive aggressive attempt to call out all … morethe "Kenny haters" by asking why people don't like him. Buddy, if I listed every reason why Kenny sucked like a hardcore Philippian pornstar, this post would go on for several pages.
But how's this sound. You have your opinion on him, and I'll have mine. Is that cool?
I agree that if you don't help him killing Larry he is a huge dick (Then again you can make Lee a bigger one if you try hard enough) But Arvo deserved everything he got in my opinion, I didn't steal from him in my game, And yet he still tried robbing and killing the group, Maybe that's just Telltale not thinking everything through, But can you seriously say that you would act like Mike? And act as if WE tried robbing them and had him as a hostage?Kenny went overboard here a bit I agree, But then Arvo turns around and shoots Clem anyways even if you treat him like gods gift, Screw Arvo.
I myself do not like Arvo all that much, but tying the kid up then beating the shit out of him while his hands are bound is just being a shitty person, if Kenny killed killed him the gunfight I wouldn't care at all. But the fact that he ties him up and knocks the shit out of him is cruel and just plain torture.
But can you seriously say that you would act like Mike?
In reality yes, I'm not a fan of violence.
But then Arvo turns around and shoots Clem anyways even if you treat him like gods gift, Screw Arvo.
Talking to Arvo like two times isn't treating him like gods gift at all, we don't even interact with until Kenny hits him but even then I don't think Arvo even cares, probably because he blames Clementine for his sisters death. As for him shooting Clem I can't really defend that at all, we'll never know why he did it, if he was scared or just wanted revenge.
Well, There are different kinds of people, I wouldn't act like Kenny completely, But I wouldn't act as if he did nothing wrong either, And when I said "Treat him like gods gift" I was being a bit to over dramatic, But, You get the basic point here, Arvo is not someone who just made a mistake like Ben, He knew what he did, And if Kenny HAD done the same to Ben I would have sided against him in that respect.

What's funny is that Kenny's justification for beating Arvo in that scene is that he was "making a racket" yelling at Mike.
So... where was the [Bash Kenny's Head In With A Pistol] option back when he was screaming because he couldn't fix the truck?
As for him shooting Clem I can't really defend that at all, we'll never know why he did it, if he was scared or just wanted revenge
As for this, people have known the answer for ages now. Arvo was a plot device, not a human being. Anyone with half a brain, vengeful/scared or not, would not have fired a gun in that situation for any reason. You are trying to stealthily escape a violent maniac, you are ROBBING this violent maniac, firing a rifle will most certainly draw the attention and murderous rage of this violent maniac. A realistic human being would not have shot in this situation for whatever reason, especially if Clem dropped the gun. He shot Clem specifically to get the audience to hate him and retroactively root for Kenny, even though there was no in-universe explanation for his actions, which is why I really cant bring myself to hate the kid.

Arvo is not someone who just made a mistake like Ben
You are correct, Arvo did know what he was doing and is terrible person for doing so. But knocking the shit out of him while being tied up is just wrong, and makes you a shitty person for doing so.

This is completely true, but all I want to know is the writers justification for his actions if he was scared/angered. I probably still wouldn't defend his actions even if we knew them.

I honestly doubt there's any justification, just like how there's no explanation for why Kenny blames Clem if she doesn't cut Sarita's arm, or why Rebecca doesn't even seem to notice Sarah's second death when she sobs over her first one.

I agree, He went overboard with the beating, I just had to point out that the way Bonnie and Mike was treating him was way worse for the groups sake, If they hadn't tried leaving we probably wouldn't have had the ending we got anyways, But then again...The plot must move on, Also, It's pretty much Arvo and Bonnie's fault for Luke dying (Bonnie crossing the ice if you cover Luke), Kenny probably didn't help by chasing Arvo, But should he really have let him get away? I actually tried helping Arvo and Kenny hit Clem by accident, But after Arvo shot Clem I was done with him, I think we can all agree Kenny has bad morals at points, But his hearts in the right place regarding the ones that he cares for.

There have been a lot of threads of people saying why they hate Kenny, since the end of season one. It just turned into Kenny v. Jane after the second season. It basically amounts to the same thing.

I agree, At least most of the time, The ending with him is probably the best thing he has done, Ever since Larry it's been a gray area for me though, besides the things I listed in my opinion.
But his hearts in the right place regarding the ones that he cares for
I can agree that his intentions are good but how he acts on them are downright awful IMO.

That's a girl?! Well no violence against woman I suppose.

i dont see the difference in punching a woman or punching a man, its the same thing in the end

Personally, I'm tired of talking about how much I hate Kenny's guts. It would be nice if there was no mention of him at all next season.
I thought Kenny was so much worse in season 2. In season 1 he was irritating but tolerable. In season two he was insane.
I think at this point it's safe to say that the Kenny hate has far outlasted his support.
So if someone makes you mad, you're just over it instantly?
I felt like, if the game wants him dead, they'll have to kill him like the others...I wasn't going to kill him
And that's a bad thing?
I'd really only say that's the case on this forum, and a few other communities
I still see glowing praise just about anywhere else I go

He's a really great guy.
A lotta people seem to think this thread is pointless, to which I beg the question. Why comment on it? You're only giving it publicity.
