I understand he may not be the perfect "Superman" Character, But on to other "Bad Guy" characters, Larry?People defend him, Nate?No problem, Bonnie? She's had a tough life, Carver? He was just looking out for his people right? But Kenny, Fuck 'em.

I understand it's your opinion to like Kenny. Fine, but the post I've read above has a lot of flimsy half-assed reasons as to why you like h

    From what I've concluded so far, since I joined this forum, I'd seen two things that are really sensitive to be discussed;

    KENNY.

    JANE.

... and most people giving hate for Kenny.

  • Thanks for not being offended. I didn't know you were new.

I like Kenny, but yes this whole thing is a plague. I purposely avoid mentioning him in any posts nowadays just for the sake of avoiding a pointless argument.

And when I was saying about people not making interesting threads, I wasn't saying it particularly to you but to everyone. If your sort of new then fair enough, and though some just specifically Kenny related threads do exist they are probably quite old, as everything has become about Kenny V Jane. But you get so many people who've been on this thread for a while who then start the whole cycle again and it gets very, very tedious.

I know I won't change peoples minds and i'm not trying to, I'm a bit new to the forums and just wanted to see other peoples points or opinio

There aren't very many Kenny hate threads now though, I think myself as well as a few others have shown a bit more restraint over the past few weeks with overbearing the site with useless "I hate Kenny... ROAR!" threads.

Now, I'll cut the fuckers character down in a heartbeat on an already established thread where Kenny is brought up. Cause I truly think he's a disgusting sack of shit. Whit that being said, a lot of people know that at this point, our opinions on him (whether good or bad) are set in stone and can't be swayed either way. So I ask, what's the point of these kinds of threads? Unless it's just to waste some time and get some views or whatever.

Either way, my opinion is "viva la fuck Kenny."

    bloop posted: »

Sort of. Eventually the Kenny hate will most likely get annoying like the Kenny love did. Like how pretty much any Kenny love thread gets met by "STOP, JUST STOP" Kenny hate threads will reach that point too.

In all honestly if you think a thread is truly pointless, then just don't comment on it. Your only giving it more publicity. I just think if you don't have anything nice to say, just don't it at all. It'll just start more arguments. Plus, with sarcsic comments saying he's a great guy and showing gifs of being a dick and saying something like "Good riddance" and showing a gif of him dying is just asking for trouble of a thread where it's supposed to show love.

The people that still argue about Kenny are the people that haven't realized a simple truth: everyone's opinions are set in stone already. The people that hate him will continue to hate him, the people that like him will continue to like him. No matter what points you bring up, you are not going to convince someone that likes him to hate him, nor are you going to convince someone that hates him to like him.

These Kenny threads just turn into a giant contest of who can yell their allegiances louder. Seriously, they always turn into something like the following:

    "here's the reasons Kenny sucks"

"no, here's the reasons kenny's cool"

"no fuck you, here's more reasons he sucks"

    "he doesn't suck, shut up"

    "oh yes he does"

    "no he doesn't"

    "yes he does"

    "NO HE DOESN'T"

    "YES HE DOES"

  • Because I did that with the Kenny threads after season 1 and it clearly led to the company thinking that everyone loved Kenny 100%, I cant take another season of being forced to be Kenny's friend

    He's a really great guy.

  • It depends on the situation but in that kind of situation i wouldn't even be mad, even if i got physically and emotionally abused by someone who just lost loved one i wouldn't be mad, i would suggest going to therapy and anger menagament but his behaviour in my opinion is logical. I don't know about you but as in any family my mom would yell for hours because she was mad about something at work etc. and i never go mad, i only felt sad.

And now i don't even remember what was she yelling about 2 months ago let alone 2 years. And hese situations ren't even comparable since at that moment Kenny ust lost the only person he had left after his wife commited suicide and his boy died.

  • So, I can't give feedback because it's not in agreement to the OP?

He clearly states "opinions are welcomed." I'm giving mine, I don't like Kenny and I think some of the OP's points are flimsy. Saying "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it" is not a good retort either. One thing lacking in today's society is that people are so easily offended by negative opinions aimed at them or in extension characters they happen to like in video games. I'll continue to share my thoughts on how factually shitty Kenny is.

Plus, with sarcsic comments saying he's a great guy and showing gifs of being a dick and saying something like "Good riddance" and showing a gif of him dying is just asking for trouble of a thread where it's supposed to show love.

Ok, now this in particular is weird to me. Did I ever put up a gif of Kenny dying and say "good riddance?" I don't recall.

  • Do we really need to do this again?

He's a controversial character, lots of people like him, lots of people don't, he's not going to be a major player in season 3 so let's just drop it.

That's a pretty ridiculous assumption to make.

Kenny has been alive for twice as many episodes as any character in the entire game apart from Clementine, and suddenly if he can die it's pandering to his haters?

Was Bonnie being determinant pandering to her haters? Was Nick being determinant pandering to his haters?

So, what, he should have survived forever?

He shot Clem specifically to get the audience to hate him and retroactively root for Kenny, even though there was no in-universe explanation for his actions, which is why I really cant bring myself to hate the kid.

Same. Arvo shooting Clementine was so blatantly contrived (As was Bonnie and Mike stealing every bit of the supplies when they have previously shown to care for Clem and the baby. If they cared enough for Arvo, they wouldn't stop caring for the two kids they were leaving behind, simple as.) that I can't be bothered to hate them, and seeing how intensely people want to slaughter them or whatever is kind of laughable to me, tbh. All three of those characters were plot devices, Bonnie and Mike there to serve whatever the plot needed and Clem wasn't allowed to speak with Arvo because doing so would ruin the only purpose the writers had for him, to shoot her.

As for the 'justifications' I doubt the writers cared enough about Arvo to actually bother coming up with believable ones, for him shooting her or really anything he did prior to that, hiding the medicine, bringing his people to Clementine's group no matter what, etc.

What's funny is that Kenny's justification for beating Arvo in that scene is that he was "making a racket" yelling at Mike. So... where w

After ep 5 came out there was unused animations and choices found during the Kenny vs Jane fight which showed that Kenny would always kill Jane and it was to either shoot Jane or look away, but looking away would lead to Kenny grabbing the knife and stabbing Jane anyway. But then it was obviously changed, so yes, Kenny probably only became determinate due to people saying they dont want him anymore

  • Theories can't really be theories when they have literally no evidence to support them.

I might believe you if this was a character that was in it for two episodes and greatly hated, so they decide to kill him, her or them off, but this is a guy telltale are clearly obsessed with: a non playable character surviving for two seasons is an extremely long time, and as I say, that is nearly twice as long as any other non playable character has survived for (Luke is the second most with 5 compared to Kenny's 9.)

They weren't going to keep Kenny around for ever and ever anyway, as he isn't what the game is about. The more episodes a character survives for the more likely they'll die, and Kenny had already had his share and the share of other characters.

It makes sense that it was time for them to let go of his character,

Okay, I got a little off track there, but I guess I'll still explain it. Basically, when a thread supposed to show love, and some just decides to pretty sarcastic about and do stuff like that just starts trouble. You still post how bad Kenny is, but like I said, just do it civilly instead of just "This character is an asshole." or stuff like that. • Anyone with half a brain, vengeful/scared or not, would not have fired a gun in that situation for any reason. You are trying to stealthily escape a violent maniac, you are ROBBING this violent maniac, firing a rifle will most certainly draw the attention and murderous rage of this violent maniac. A realistic human being would not have shot in this situation for whatever reason, especially if Clem dropped the gun. He shot Clem specifically to get the audience to hate him and retroactively root for Kenny, even though there was no in-universe explanation for his actions, which is why I really cant bring myself to hate the kid.

I actually do think Arvo's shooting of Clem makes sense. Even if he's trying to escape Kenny, he still blames Clem for his sister's death and sees his opportunity. I don't think I can blame him, I'm not sure how I would react if I had the advantage over someone I was certain had killed a member of my family.
