Kenny vs Nate

  • Not the best of analogies. These moments can be spun into good things. Lee can tell Clem; they need the food to survive, they needed to kill Larry so that he doesn't come back as a walker, and it's too dangerous for kids where he's going. There are gray areas. But with Nate and Russell, it's pretty black and white.

Interesting because Lee can steal from the car, help kill Larry and not bring her to Crawford when Clementine tells him to do something. You

Jane provoked the attack...did she honestly think she was going to take on Kenny alone? Jane's a woman and Kenny's a grown man...that was stupidity on her part to start a death match with someone twice your weight class

There's a fine line between provoking and initiating a fight. Who is to say Jane knew Kenny would try to kill her? She never said "the baby is dead", but he assumed. It was all set in motion because the fact is they couldn't co-exist.

Anyway, I don't get why people continue to single out my "Janes a woman" statement. Clearly I said it only to elaborate on why I wouldn't shoot Kenny, had he the upper hand on Nate. It wasn't to argue "BOYZ SHULDNT HIT GIRLS NO MATTER WUT!!1"

Jane's a woman. If Nate was overpowered by Kenny, it's on him

    i.e man vs man

Nate is a big mystery. I wanna see so much more of him. Why can't Nate be a main character? That's so lame. He's the most interesting character of season 1, and we hardly see him at all.

Why the hell did Nate need him?

I think he needed him, so he can finish the job. I think Nate was there before, and that he knew he wouldn't be able to get the jump on the old guy alone, so he got help. Don't you think it's the least bit suspicious that he picks that gas station? Also, after the first shot, why not just get the hell out of there like a sane person?

Of course she did, but the fact still remains that she didn't attack Kenny.

Now that's enough Jane talk, don't you think? Thread was supposed to be "Kenny vs Nate".

  • Kenny May Be Strong, But his emotions make him weak, And Anything Nate says could cloud his mind. While Nate Knows what he's doing, and Has Lost all his Humanity. Nate wins, No Chalenge.

  • Actually, Nate can do literally everything on his own. He covers himself moving from car to car, he makes the mad dash on his own, and Nate could also charge the old man if he wanted to. It's also not strange that he picked that gas station, as it was literally down the road from where he found Russel. After the first shot, he wanted those people fucking dead. He's vindictive for damn sure. Also, if he hadn't robbed that place before (which I like to think he didn't, but we'll never know), he didn't know how good of a shot that sniper was. The guy missed one shot. Would you want to give him a second chance, as you drive out of there? I wouldn't.

Of course Jane couldn't 'know' that Kenny was going to attack her. but there's this thing that all people have, some more acute than others, called intuition...jane had a very strong intuition that Kenny would lose his sh*t...and during the fight when Kenny says 'i'll kill you', jane replies with ' i knew you would'...so Jane instigated a fight she had no hope of winning by herself-she put up a good fight, but ultimately is overpowered and needs Clementine to save her...

It was all set in motion because the fact is they couldn't co-exist.

Jane realized she needed to get Kenny out of the picture the moment that Clem disrupts their convo once Kenny gets the truck working...he plan wasn't premeditated, but the opportunity presented itself. When they get stopped in front of the road block and kenny gets out, Jane almost immediately advises Clem that they should just leave with Aj b/c Kenny would never let them with Aj alone...Jane brought on her own demise when she provoked someone who she knew to be volatile to attack her just so that she could have a legit reason to kill him(in self-defense) and get Clementine to leave with her

and I wasn't trying to say that Kenny shouldn't have attacked a women or anything...I was just pointing out that Jane must've been smoking crack if she thought she was going to win the fight with Kenny. Not saying that to be sexist..but 9x outta 10 a man is going to win a fight with a woman...unless she's China or some other unnaturally beefed up woman

yeah, that's why I left Nate...when the old man said that Nate had been there before, but wearing a mask...that made me think, hmmm...but the old couple could've just been paranoid about whoever it was coming back and assumed that it was Nate...but Nate was probably lying when he said that he hadn't been there...like the old man said, he went back to finish the job and steal their food

The guy missed one shot. Would you want to give him a second chance, as you drive out of there? I wouldn't.

if you wouldn't want to drive away and have him shoot at you, it's certainly more suicidal to storm the place, especially if Nate hadn't been there before he wouldn't know how many armed people might be in there...and there were shot at over a dozen times trying to break in a kill those people

  • If Clem was an adult, neither because I dislike both of them however since she's a child Kenny. I don't trust Nate in the slightest, while Kenny is very predictable.

  • I'm calling bullshit on that. Spending your every ounce of energy, your every day, and second surviving (for half of a whole year at that point), only to risk it all in the hopes that this guy sucks? You're lying to yourself if you think you would be that kind. Either that, or you're suicidal. When it comes down to it, any normally functioning human being wants to live. You don't live by doing stupid shit like that. Once you've lived through such hell (not saying I have, just saying), then I'll believe that you'd do that.

I like Nate, but in my canon playthrough, before I really thought it over, I left Nate too. I think that it's fifty-fifty on whether or not he actually did it, but I like him enough that I would want to believe that he didn't. I would change my mind on that choice for sure, if I could go back in time without rewinding. Nate's care for Russel seemed to be the most pure non-familial care in the game aside from Clem and Lee.

That's true, but I'm gonna say that Nate is instantly set to revenge mode. You get the feeling that he's had to do this shit so much that it's just his default mindset. That's how he wants to die, if he has to. Plus, not to mention, if there are a shit ton of people, then he could always just take Russ and run into the forest. Use the element of surprise that the woods give in order to take them out one by one.

  • Nate might not be a very good influence on Clem, but it's better than a man who left a 11 year old girl to die in a herd of walkers.

  • Nate.
    Crazy bastard makes my day.

  • Nah, it just seems like the 1st shot was a warning shot. Why would someone waste their ammo on someone who's fleeing?

  • It seems like a warning shot? No. Your opinion in this case is straight up wrong. That old man was just a shitty shot. If you don't cover Nate, it takes him several shots to kill anyone, not to mention his blatant racism, and immediate hatred for Nate, (hopefully) mistaking him for the bandit from earlier.

As for wasting ammo on fleeing people, I dunno. What if the people in that store were bandits, or psychopaths? Nate didn't know (at least I hope he didn't) anything about the people in that store. They could've been dogs holding guns for all Nate knew. Again, nobody wants to take that risk with their life. Life is everything in this world.

    Is that a fact?

As far as I'm concerned, it's fact. Sorry for being so disrespectful, but I really would have a hard time swallowing that one.

That's exactly what I'm saying. I'm also providing my reasoning for not believing you. Is that such a sin?
