Would you shoot Mike?
Sucks that they took it out that was a sore spot episode 5 had. The "Can I go with you" option... yeah... but anyway I wanted to know what people would do so I can get a general idea of what the statistics would be.
My decision: I would shoot him in less than a fraction of a second. He was a dick and disrespected and manipulated Clementine the entire Season. It would have been the ultimate pay back for him to be determinant.

yes, i would.
No
Nope, forgiven immediately and then made King. That night we feast upon the raccoons.
Serious bro?
I think that's a stretch but....I'm not sure if I would have shot him, Maybe.
Yes.
He said she couldn't get the job done at Howe's, doubted and underestimated her then hypocritically tried getting her to go through a window
Nope, I'd rather go with him.
Clem raised her gun, but she just couldn't do it, Uncle Pete.
She's a little girl and honestly if it wasn't for the sake of the plot, She maybe wouldn't have had to do that much
He was concerned for her safety and again: She's a little girl
And who else got her to do stuff? A LOT of people
Oh My God, I can't believe that I'm talking like this and I'm not usually the type to go out and defending characters but if he didn't do what he did in Episode 5 most people (probably you included) wouldn't hate him (And I do hate what he did in Episode 5 so I don't even know why I'm saying this) And One More Thing.....
As I recall he was introduced in Episode 3 :P
Fuck yeah I would. If he was just leaving because he wanted to get away from Kenny, then no, but he was stealing everything from us and was going to leave a baby to die. You do that and put the lives of me and the others around me in danger, you're putting a target on your back. So yes, I would kill him, what he did is unforgivable.
RIP
Pete to Nick
I meant his time on screen :P but I refuse to believe "he cared about her safety" when he caused her being shot and her in a room with a walker. There is is also a death scene where he drops Clementine intentionally out of fear of being caught. I think that says a lot about him. I never cared for him and kinda knew he as a douche
You used that quote perfectly.
That was Shitbird 2.0 if you remember him, Mike was the only one that seemed liked he cared along with Bonnie (Determinantly)
Do you mean at Howe's, GOD I can't believe I'm being THAT GUY right now but you could blame that on Kenny since he was the one that was pushing Mike against the board
But that isn't canon :P, You can play as Lee and be a total jerk to Clementine and when she's being grabbed by a Walker you not respond at all, I'm just saying that soooooooo
(Oh My God.....I am actually defending Mike.............Wow............Just Wow.........)
If I had caught Mike in the act of loading the truck up, like we do in the game, I would have shot him without a second thought, then I would have used the rest of the clip to unload on Arvo (Bonnie's dead in my playthrough).
But now? I'm more open to forgive Mike, as I genuinely enjoyed his character and liked the comic relief he brought. To be honest, I blame the writers more than I blame Mike. It was totally out of character for him to pull such a betrayal, seeing as it was shown that he cared for Clem and the group, and even Arvo.
Thanks. More of a reference than a quote, but I totally got that vibe from her in that moment.
Nah, he was an asshole for sure but I would never be able to bring Clementine to do that. I feel like that isn't within Clem's character and that's the entire reason they took out that option in the first place. Also, I don't really feel Mike (or Bonnie and Arvo) deserve to die for what they did, they certainly won't get forgiveness from me, but I don't feel killing them is necessary in the slightest.
Just thought of a reason why they decided to cut it:
Clem hasn't killed a living person, except for Lee(determinant). Maybe they're saving that for S3?
EDIT: Never mind
I'm in shock too didn't you kill Larry? Anyway I was referring Episode 4 . I can't believe people are ignoring him underestimating Clementine then taking advantage of her small size and putting her in danger, giving Arvo, a kid who almost got the group killed a rifle which ended up getting Clem almost killed and trying to l leave her and a new born with nothing. Thats all ok though because he showed some probably not genuine concern about her safety at Howe's which was more about him not wanting to be caught
She can kill The Stranger and Kenny.
Thanks. I knew I was forgetting something.
No, I probably wouldn't have killed Mike because I didn't hate him a shit tonne but I wasn't the biggest fan of him either. If it had of given me the choice to shoot him I probably would have thought a lot about it maybe even paused the game.. Thinking about consequences that could happen if I do shoot him or if I don't.
I liked Mike, not a lot but I liked him and with other people saying that he took full advantage of her, no he didn't tell me when he straight up said, "Well Clementine is small enough and I don't really like her so she can fit through this gap in the counter." Never, he was the one who actually suggested that he try the door again and when Luke was in the ice Mike was looking out of Clem and saying don't do it, just like Kenny and Luke..
In the end I wouldn't have shot him and probably would have just let them go, get one of our bags and gone they can leave, they don't like Kenny then fine a lot of others didn't either they aren't the first. Have a nice day
Yes, I would. In a real ZA, I would shoot anyone who risked my group's life by stealing supplies from right under our noses. If he was just trying to leave with Arvo and Bonnie without our supplies though, then no. I wouldn't shoot him, I would let him leave.
The thought would never have crossed my mind. I threatened him, sure, but it was an empty gesture. I'd never shoot Mike.
No. He doesn't deserve to die.
It was bonnies idea not mike's. Everyone constantly asks clem to do things fo illogical reasons. He cant manipulate and underestimate her for his whole appearance as those are too opposite things.
Still maybe your right hes nowhere near the moral quality of Nate, Ramsey and Joffrey
The stranger and Kenny were completley different scenarios where someone life was on the line or the person just committed (another) blatant murder of a group member, Mike took a bag of supplies (that the baby couldnt even use) from a psychopath, socio path and there #1 fan in kid form.
Its interesting that when a person does something to piss someone else off, that other person's immediate reaction is to kill them. Really speaks to the degradation of TWD characters as well as the fans that follow them. And its not just Mike and crew... a lot people want to kill characters like Sarah and Becca simply because they find their personalities annoying, or they did something stupid. But I digress.
Nah I wouldn't kill Mike. He'd have to work his ass off to earn my trust back (if such a thing is even possible) but he doesn't deserve a bullet in the head just for being a moron. Now Arvo on the other hand......
DON'T MENTION THAT NAME!!!!!!!!!!!Larry deserved it.....Wait a sec............ How did you find out about me Saltlicking him? WHO TOLD YOU THAT!? WHO TOLD YOU!?
jk bout that but here we go; Act like I have a Cimena Sins Voice right now
This applies to most of the adults in Season 2 that interact with Clem.....
Don't make me defend him for leaving the group........I didn't like it but- Fine...............He thought Kenny was crazy for trying to kill Arvo and abusing him multiple times so he gave shitbird the rifle...This doesn't prove Mike's a douchebag on Larry levels though, just that he could work on common sense BIG TIME and remember he was (determinantly) the only one who seemed to care when Clem was shot so this could start a whole other debate over Bonnie and her determinant caring.
As I recall YOU're not a character unless we're missing something here..................... :P
She's a little girl, If he was pretending than his caring skills are far better than Carlos's care face:P
WHY AM I SAYING ALL OF THIS!?
No, I wouldn't and I hope to see him again in Season 3 along with Arvo and a determinant Bonnie. I wish I could have gone with them.
Actually, no one gave Arvo the rifle, it was just sitting on the truck's seat. As for where they found the rifle... plot.
@Clemenem
:P
Well, considering that he robbed from the group, making a baby starve... Yeah.
The baby couldn't eat any of that food, remember? Everyone else would starve though.
So what? Clementine is also a '' child ''.
And even if they don't have any baby formula, they could do pap for the baby or something like this.
I was just pointing out what you said about the baby, I did mention that the group would starve.
What's pap?
Pap, mash... Understand?
You mean crushing food down?
Yeah, that's it!
