season 2 was my favorite.....guess im the only one.

  • I haven't really watched season 5. I felt season 3 & 4 is too long even if they cut it up into 8 EPs each. That pretty much killed my interest. That and a lot of EPs to me were boring and drawn out.

  • Best show on tv, imo.

  • You're not, trust. S2 was extremely awesome. Wouldn't say it was my favorite, but then again I can't really say any of them are my favorite. This entire show is my favorite.

People have been saying 'does it suck now' since the second season, and it never had spectacular writing to begin with (I do love all the actors/actresses dearly though they have always been great.) but I still enjoy it for what it is, an average show that can sometimes pull off a really well written episode. The pacing is a drag though. (That...may be a pun. .-. )

  • Oh trust me there are a lot of quality seasons left. They have a bad guy coming up who could rip the Governor a new one.

  • Nope, if anything, its getting better. I have loved this season so far.

Ugh, It's gotten so bad. It had such a good plot up till now, now It's all about survival now, literally. Every trailer for the next episode Rick goes something along the lines of 'survival is the most important thing now, trust no one.' We get it, but there's no plot. And they use the dramatic pause way too much. Maybe now that they're in Alexandria there will be a plot.

  • AMC isn't holding back the show at all. The only thing AMC isn't allowing that the comics has was a lot of bad language. As far as the story goes if you read the comics you will be able to tell where they are getting the story.

AMC is the show's biggest problem. I think they purposely sandbag the story and make stingy decisions with the budget just so they can milk

  • They really dragged season 2 out. In the comic Herschel's farm only lasted for about four or five issues yet they spent the entire season there in the show.

  • Yeah, and Shane died within a couple of issues. I think they did an outstanding job with that character and storyline.

  • Really hoping a herd scene like in In Harm's Way comes up at some point. That'd be amazing television.

The show needs a lot more walkers and more interesting combat scenarios. This is why I thought the first season was the best. https://www

It was good to a point however it lasted way too long. It's true that there wasn't much at Herschel's farm that would make good television but there were better ways they could have approached that issue then to turn the majority of season 2 into a soapy love triangle between Rick, Shane, and Lori.

  • Survival being important in a zombie apocalypse? Poppycock

well every episode of season 5 so far has sucked, besides the season 5 premiere and the second episode, although episode 511 was really good and would call it the best episode of season 5 IMO

  • It didn't protect them. A tornado came through and roflstomped a herd, but missed the barn the group were in. And yes, this does happen in real life, where an entire neighborhood can get WTFPWNED but a single house or two survive. It's just pure luck.

  • and I feel like half of it is random pretending to be artsy (ie the cuts in 5e09)

They were the fevered memories of a dying man. His life flashing before his eyes, in other words, every place he's ever been to during the apocalypse. Wasn't that hard to figure out, nor was it "artsy" or "deep". The Walking Dead doesn't do either of those things. People just said that a lot when it came out because they didn't know how to pay attention to simple stuff.

like in 5e10 when Maggie opens the trunk and there's a zombie tied up and it's like "remember? Maggie will suddenly have flashbacks to when she was sexually assaulted in that season you enjoyed a lot more than this one?

What the hell are you talking about? That kidnapped zombie was meant to remind her of Beth, because Daryl told her she had been abducted in a car. There was no indication that Maggie flashbacked to her sexual assault. Also no, season 3 was complete and utter garbage. Seasons 4 and 5 saved the show.

Plus, all of a sudden "hey Christian audience, you can feel validated now, ever though we've had no strong religious themes before this."

Except for Hershel being a religious man, quoting the Bible and studying from it, the group stopping at a church and Carol praying to God, and Hershel and Rick having a discussion on the matter of God's will, as well as Glenn and Maggie talking about the existence of God. So... yeah.

  • I'm sorry but...what the hell are you talking about?

Yes, the show isn't really a good show. At all. But at least criticize it where criticism is due.

First of all, where did you get the whole Maggie thing from? The walker was literally nothing like when she was almost raped by the Governor. It was just a random kidnapped zombie that made her a little sad.

And other than the priest, I have no fucking clue where you get all of the Christian themes from.

  • Better Call Saul is kicking ass.

  • I think it's a bit overrated. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was good and I really enjoyed watching it, but the way people talk about it you'd think it was the best thing since sliced bread, or even The Sopranos.

  • Season 3A was mostly good on the action front, but plotwise, the same problems that plagued 3B began showing. Michonne's characterization was poorly handled, Andrea's relationship with the Governor was a stupid plotline, the Governor himself had literally NO motivation to take action against the group (not even simple survival like the Termites) other than "BWAHAHAHA! I'm evil!", Rick going crazy was inconsistent, handled badly, and done way too prematurely, the prison wasn't utilized nearly as well as the comics did, and 3A will always be tarnished in my mind for blatantly adhering to the stupid "one black guy at a time" rule. T-Dog goes out (and then they pretend he was important when he wasn't... at all), then Oscar shows up. Then Oscar dies literally the same time Tyreese shows up (who then does nothing for the rest of the season). The differences in how the black characters currently get established character arcs and setups are staggering compared to the horrid treatment season 3 gave them.

The later seasons balanced action and plot a lot better than 3A did, in my opinion.

  • I didn't read but I watched every episode of the walking dead TV series and I can assure you that it does not suck.

  • Yes, the show SUCKS SO MUCH NOW. The season started off great with The Hunters, but it went down hill with the Beth Hospital Storyline and this season has just suckkeeeeeddd.

  • you made a lot of stupid points. and not even gonna get into them. but so far the show is saving some face. idk why people shit on S4 when its clearly the best since S1. S3 and S2 were horrible. well that's hyperbole, but S2 was rather boring and made some characters annoying as hell (lori) but it had some cool ass ones. S3 started awesome, but it still had its problems. then the 2nd half was almost garbage, just wasting time and completely ruined a badass character in andrea (FUCK YOU MAZZARA) but again it still had some strong episodes , Clear was my favorite. Now S4 started awesome, i thought all the first half was awesome (even the GOv episodes) and that mid season finale muah (hyperbole) was that awesome that shit shouldve been S3 finale. then the second half, i thought it was pretty cool still but they show they are not consistent writers. dont get me wrong i really thought the whole S4 was solid, best since S1, but i didnt like that they spend too much time on just making episodes for certain characters. i didnt like it a lot and the whole last half was getting to terminus. i get it character developent, but cmon that was ehh it bothers me a bit. but still awesome season i kinda liked how they finished. 1st rick eating some fucking throat, and finally doing some badass shit. now S5 it started badass. i fucking loved the slaughter scence that was delicious. (but i still feel overrated that premier) and i basically loved the whole hunters story line but they completely fucked it by with that stupid-ass-useless story line with the cops. seriously what a piece of shit. waste of character (beth). and it pissed me off that they were just writing shit just for the sake of "the plot" cmon rick was right, hey we gotta kill the fucking termites cuz they will come back, hey i need to kill this douchbag martin cuz hes a POS, hey i have to be smart and not go alone with a fucking prisoner and give my fucking back to him, or also hey we go in into the hospital and we kill the leader and their thugs and we FO. seriously they could killed them all. so the first 1/2 of s5 went to shit, but now they are doing good shit, and im not waiting to see what happens in ASZ woooo!

  • Honestly I'm enjoying the show more than ever before, since after season 2.

  • Does The Walking Dead TV Suck now? Yes.

  • It was never particularity great to start with.

It is a very poor representation of what TWD is supposed to be about and I think it does the comics a creative disservice. Also, I feel as if the show is nothing more than a corporate cash-cow and when Darabont got the boot all creative vision was permanently blinded in favor of falling into a pit of cash.

  • That happened to my cousin so I can confirm this. He honestly could still have lived in that house, he just didn't want to because of all the wreckage.

  • that's because the in the comics/game it's more about how people are psychologically affected by living in the ZA, the decisions one makes in how they react to others...trust (is a big motif in the games), and how cruel and self-interested people become in the name of self-preservation...for the show, people want walkers--otherwise those episodes get labeled as boring and filler...but that's because the show isn't written very well--they need the action to keep them afloat

    Lee4ever posted: »

That's exactly what I'm saying though. One of the big differences between the comic and video game compared to the TV show are the lack of walkers and creative close encounters with walkers.

  • You should add show to the title its irking and me and no some people think it does others don't neither is fact

  • Yup. I can't watch it anymore. Its moving way too slowly and is pretty much a zombie soap opera now.
