How could anyone hate Sarah?

She doesn't do anything wrong and is so sweet and endearing.

  • Probably the same reason everyone hated Duck: I have no idea

  • Because of her "we can be bestfriends" in Episode 1 and her meltdowns in Episode 3 and 4.

liiiiiikkkeee, how adults find children annoying since they ask alot of questions and (most of the time) crybabies.

  • Because people can have different opinions than you.

  • Human Beings are the most Judgemental creatures on this planet. I believe most people have low self esteems, they need to tear down other people. They live in their twisted memories of bitterness, and take out their frustrations out on a imaginary girl . IMO it is better than picking on someone who is real.

Personally i loved the kid, she was the sweetest kid in this season, and i felt like shit when she died.

  • Silly ones.

  • I think because they found it weird for her to talk like that since you know.... she's fifteen.

I watched some Youtubers having a Playthrough of 'All That Remains' and all they do is bitch about how Sarah is obnoxious and doesn't shut up or she's annoying.

  • i know, i loved BEN. He was my favorite character in Season 1, i was really hoping they would let him become a stronger version of himself, and work with Clementine in S2, unfortunately they decided to kill him off for closure. Arvo i felt bad for him, but at the same time i realised what he was doing, was a little shady.

They never explained why he was hiding the drugs in the first place. I still like him though.

  • Well when people get older; they realise that people are not perfect, and may say or do things that may come out in a awkward, or come off strange, but most of the time their heart is in the right place. To me that is all that really matters.

Not saying I hate Sarah, but the reason is simple. Sarah is a character that insults many peoples' intelligence. TellTale made one of the most interesting and well-written child characters when they came up with Clementine. She was an innocent slightly naïve young girl that also had a very strong moral compass and was highly intelligent for someone her age. Sarah is an anemic bore that we're suppose to feel somehow protective over even though the game has never given us any insight into her as a human being. Her entire character is a sheltered child with coping problems, that's it.

I never felt anything for her not because I'm cold-hearted (well, that too) but because her dialogue consists entirely of asking Clementine for favors and advice. She, at one point, was reading a book. Which could've been a hobby she had and it could've shown her to be a naturally curious and well-versed individual. "Bollocks to that" exclaimed TellTale. That'll only make her seem interesting and unique, write her as a dense young brat that doesn't even know not to point a gun at someone else. "If we give a character too much development, people will feel insulted because having a 'blank slate' helps people relate more even though there's nothing in the first place to relate to."

I personally don't care either way, she was boring to the point that I can't accurately remember any of her dialogue. But I'm sure it something along the lines of "Clementine, can you (an eleven year old girl) protect me and allow me to force myself onto you because TT is trying desperately to show a contrast between 'innocent' and 'worldly survivor' so blatant that it lacks any and all subtly needed to form a decent contrast in the first place. Derp."

Because she's "not normal", "useless", and "annoying,", according to them.

Honestly, the hate Sarah receives is ridiculous and downright disgusting. A character can be the sweetest person ever, but if they can't pull their own weight, people will consider them a burden and hope they die horribly. The mentality of "Ew! A creepy teenager who acts like a little kid and wants to be my friend," makes me shake my head. It's not fair to compare someone like Sarah to Clementine. She was a breath of fresh air, IMO.

  • Because some people might find the person who has no idea what the zombie apocalypse is kind of annoying

  • is being annoying enough of a reason to be glad they die?

  • Loved Sarah. Use to blame Carlos for sheltering her, but after gaining perspective, I'd most likely do the same if she was my daughter.

  • we did the same thing with Clem in season 1, and it was WORSE because almost the entire story was based around it

But Clem knew what was happening. Unlike Sarah, where we baby sit her in her false reality

That's Carlos' fault, not hers. She wanted to be of use, hence the scene with the gun. If you tell her that everyone is just out fishing, she replies with "I know that's not true." Sarah was probably sick of being coddled.

  • Tried to be Ben, never felt like him, ended up being a character I did not like.

  • I feel like that isn't much of an issue, if she had to die, im glad she ended up dying in a world she imagines to be greater than what its actually like. I would have never tried to make her out of it, id try to just protect her

  • I always wondered this as well. Sure you can find her annoying I have no problem with that. But some of the things I've seen people say about her is just straight up disgusting, things like being happy when she died. I find it way disturbing the amount of people that were happy when she died (fictional character or not it's still completely fucked up)

Uhh you do realize this is what Clementine in season 1 was basically all about though right? Sarah was a means to show us the player, what would have happened to Clem if Lee never did anything to teach Clem how to protect herself, which he basically never did until Chuck told him to.

Because she annoyed people. Basically, if some people found you annoying in the ZA. They fantasize about you dying a horrible death. I find ridiculous, but I will admit she annoyed maybe once or twice. Not to the point of wishing death upon her though.

The mentality of "Ew! A creepy teenager who acts like a little kid and wants to be my friend," makes me shake my head.

Ironically enough, that kind of mentality is itself creepy. Rejecting a friendship opportunity just because they happen to be a little different, and then expressing a deep desire to see them suffer and die for daring to wanting to speak to you? Even if it's just toward a fictional character and not a real life people (though there are people out there who would stoop that far), that's messed up.

  • She was a scared teenager and not some badass ZA survivor. People don't like seeing weakness. I guess the people that hate Sarah get the mentality that if you are weak and you are near me I'm considered weak and you'll only be a burden to me. And this is a game that deals a lot with strength of character (maybe Carver got in some people's head hmmmmm).

Plus her wanting to be your best friend when you just met was little too forcefully awkward lol.

  • thats fucking terrible to say, they ARE kids

Because they were being kids, that's why.
