Jane - she got along with my Clem for the most part, plus we knew more about her.
Carley - was hoping for Lee, Carley, and Clem would be a family anyway.
Shel - Although her sister is kind of pissy, I think Clem and her would get along fine.
Vince - He was pretty cool when I played as him.
Wyatt - I just don't want people that use drugs around Clem, so Wyatt if I was in control.
Rebecca - I can imagine that she would be an amazing survivor if she didn't have the baby.
Pete - hard to choose with this one, so I'll pick the one longest that survived.

1.Nick - Because he's a good guy, but he still has that "do what you gotta do " edge to him. The Matthew thing was unfortunate (and he was genuinely sorry), but it did show that he was willing to kill in order to protect his friends, including Clem. And I think having the responsibility of looking after Clem would've eventually turned him into the man he needed to be (and what Uncle Pete wanted him to be). In spite of his blatant hero image and big talk, Luke never actually gets anything done. If it were up to him, Carver would've survived past episode 3.
Molly - Fuck Jane.
Lilly - Outside of her shooting skills, Carley just...... wasn't that great of a survivor. Doug had like 5 walkers holding him down, Carley got owned by one. IDK if it was because she was panicking or what, but there's no reason she should not have been able to get out of its grip and grab her own damn purse. And I still can't get over the battery thing. Really girl? That being said, despite how psychotic Lilly is, she'd never hurt Clementine.
4.Shel - I would never place anyone's life in the hands of Bonnie. And Shel is bae.
Mike - Ehhh, what can I say? The motherfucker is strong, and he showed a good deal of concern for Clementine in episode 3 and 4. Can't really speak on the Arvo thing, because to this day, I still chalk it up to bad writing. I'll reserve my ultimate judgment on Mike until Season 3 (I'm almost positive he'll be in it). Hopefully we'll get inside his head a little bit.
Wyatt or Eddie (undecided) - Both of these guys are idiots, but Wyatt seems like he may have matured a little bit by Season 2. On the flip side, Eddie showed a real selfless, human side to himself when he refused to leave that guy he hit. Was it smart to stick around? No. But I respect his intentions and conviction.
7.Alvin or Rebecca (undecided) - They're both good people. Neither one really stands above or below the other. We don't really know how capable Rebecca was before she was pregnant, but does imply that she's used to taking care of herself. Alvin is also implied to be surprisingly tough with the whole George thing. And he's a nice fucking guy. IDK. I cant choose.
8.Pete - Wise, mean old bastard. Knew how to hunt. Had the wisdom that comes with age. Calm rational thinker. High level bullshit detector. I have nothing but good things to say about Pete. He was awesome.
Yeah, Carley, Molly, Omid, Alvin. Most of these characters would make good caretakers.

Luke or Nick - I feel that if Nick had this sense of purpose he'd be a great protector. He has dead eye shot from across rivers and bridges and he does hand to hand combat with walkers
Jane or Molly - I like Molly, I don't like Jane as she is Molly rehash.
Carley or Lilly - Lilly was quite smart and had good survival instinct. Carley couldn't put batteries in a radio.
Shel or Bonnie - Bonnie walked out onto the ice, got Luke killed, then yelled at Clem for it. I really don't want to see an escalation of that event. Also I like Shel, she has good morality
Vince or Mike - Fuck Mike.
Wyatt or Eddie - Neither. Probably wouldn't last that long anyways as Nate would kill us.
Alvin or Rebecca - Pregnant Rebecca would be a liability to Clem
Pete or Omid - Although Pete died in a careless and stupid fashion, Omid's was even more careless and stupid. I both lke these characters equally though
Luke reminds me of early Rick Grimes morally. But even Rick changed after going through some morally horrific events.

Wow, that's a great comparison. Luke is exactly like early Rick. I had an easier time empathizing with Rick though, because it was still early on in the apocalypse, and not only did he want to give people hope, but he was also trying to set a good example for his kid. That's understandable. But even than, you can see early on that Rick is willing to do what he has to in order to protect his family.
2 1/2 years in, and Luke is still trying to be Aang the Avatar.... C'mon man. Now, I don't condone that "kill everyone that's not you mentality", but I do believe in deadly force for self defense. It really speaks to how weak Luke is when he's not willing to put down someone as anal as Carver.

Then going mad about Kenny wanting to kill Carver after he almost killed him, beat up Luke as well, tortured Carlos/ Alvin-or killed him depending on choice. Killed Walter and did god knows what other horrific things.

That's why I personally liked Nick a lot better. He was still struggling to deal with everything but at least he was willing to kill in order to protect the people he cared about.
1) Luke or Nick?
Gaaaah, that's actually a super difficult one. My Clem got along pretty well with both of them, and they're among my favourite group of characters from the second game, so picking between them is challenging. I'm going to go with Luke simply because he showed himself to be quite protective over Clementine and I think he'd be extremely willing to make sure she's safe (not that Nick wouldn't be willing to do that, too, but Luke always stood out as something of a brotherly figure to my Clem).
2) Jane or Molly?
I love Molly's character a lot, but I'll go with Jane. They both saved Clem's life, and they both seem willing to go to some lengths to protect her, but I feel like Jane would be a little more likely to help her a bit more in a dangerous situation even if she had the chance to escape.
3) Carley or Lilly?
Carley. Again, I'm trying not to pick from personal preference and I'm going for whoever I think would be a better guardian for Clementine, and while I do like Lilly, I think Carley is more able to protect her and would be more caring toward her in general.
4) Shel or Bonnie?
Shel. Shel has experience with looking after children thanks to her caring for Becca, so I'd hope that she'd treat Clementine as another younger sister, eventually, although I'm not sure my Clem would like Becca very much... assuming Becca wouldn't be there, though, definitely Shel.
5) Vince or Mike?
Yeesh, another difficult one. Mike would be more likely to stick with her, as they already know one another, but if we're going by the way I played Vince, he'd be the kinder of the two, so I'll go with Vince.
6) Wyatt or Eddie?
Probably Eddie. He seemed like a pretty compassionate guy, judging by the fact that he was so willing to risk his life to save the injured officer, so I feel like he has some good morals and is a decent dude.
7) Alvin or Rebecca?
Rebecca. She was closer to my Clem. That's pretty much the only reason I have for this one.
8) Pete or Omid?
Omid, no doubt about it. While Pete was extremely kind-hearted, Omid was able to keep everyone's spirits up and stay positive while still being capable of sufficiently contributing to the group, and he's known Clem for longer.
