Yes and culture doesn't affect us.
and people don't go insane, they are born with it.
and you didn't wrote that comment because you he… moreard someone say it, you were born with it.
you were born with everything you know right now. everything you did didn't made you as you are right now. because you were born with it.
born. with. it.
When you feel refused/ denied by the other sex and you meet other people that feel the same way, they decide to hang out, and you both feel attracted because you can communicate so well, then first you were straight and then went gay because you like that person so much.
some people think its hard-coded into the brain. that you are "born with it".
it's the same as a hardcore religious person.
if the society told you that 9 + 10 is 21 and you didn't know any better at that point then it isn't that you were "born with it".
Romance could be a new, immersive element in Season 3. But to avoid having a soap opera and giving Telltale a lot of fan pandering work to deal with, I think that the creator of Clementine should just choose her preference. And we should accept it just like we do with other people having a different preference.

another example:

I think she can fit in any of those categories but I personally feel like after what Clementine experienced that she may choose to be more on the asexual side of things.
Yes but... You have to play as her. Have you played a bioware game? Controlling the flirting and romancy stuff is pretty weird and bioware has it down to an art form. xD
You do realise that I was talking about a straight person that was rejected/ denied by the opposite sex and met someone of his/ her own sex that was in the same situation and then became gay because he/ she loves him/ her?
and from straight to gay doesn't mean you're bisexual.
How else are you going to know they're straight if they don't show it? And it's not like they were shouting, "Hey, look we're straight, Lee, no homo." If it were a gay couple showing affection for each other like giving nicknames, it still wouldn't be much of an issue, considering that's kind of how healthy young couples act in public.
Am I the only one who doesnt really care about a character's sexual orientation? i'd rather Telltale not make a gay character for the sake of them being gay, Walter was really well done because it was realistic. Walter never was like "I'm gay!" and start making out with his boyfriend just like Kenny was never like "I'm straight!" and started making out with Sarita.
I dont really care if theres a main gay character or not but I just hope they handle it well. (And no, i'm not against the gay person kissing another gay person.. not what i'm getting at)
I know right. If anything make it super hidden, like almost unintentional, unpredictable, somewhat like the bonnie death. For example, maybe when you are loading mags with gill at howes, you are allow to pick one out six of the mags at a time. if you pick the mags in this order: 1,4,6, you'll grab mag six at the third draw but gill grabs it at the same time, so clem blush. you can move you head out of the way before he kisses you, punch him, or let him.
In this way it wouldn't be apart of the plot because you only have 6% of a chance of giving the timing right, and even if you do get it right, you have the choice to choose.
Personally, I think that TellTale should keep it simple: keep her straight or unknown.
Yeah I mean especially after losing so many friends, I doubt having a relationship would really be on many people's minds, especially when you're 11 and raising a baby!
I'd rather Clem found family than a love interest.

No you are not, I don't see why people feel the need to mention someone's sexuality in a video game. What business is it of Clementine's that Walt or the other guy i forget his name were gay. Zero, i don't go up to someone i just met in person and say, HEY this is a list of everything about me. I hand them my PTSD license.

Lots of people say 'gay characters shouldn't be included because whenever gay characters are included, all they have to talk about is being gay and they mention it as the first thing they say' etc. etc.
But I literally can't think of one gay character in mainstream gaming who's ever said that.

I don't know, so i really can't comment on that. i don't feel that way. I liked Walter, i wish he would of stayed alive longer, but you know how TTG is.

I think we should be allowed to choose her preference wether it be gay, straight, or bi. It's something I thought they were trying to set up with Sarah. But all of that got crushed.... See what I did there?:))))
But at the same time, I think the romance should be completely optional. It should be like Mass Effect, where you can avoid the romance all together or peruse it.

Adding my two cents is uncomfortable for me by itself. I think that her orientation should be what the writers decide it should be, and trust their judgment, especially as it concerns the overall comfort level of their target audience. They could even choose not to touch it, and you'll just have to deal with it. Depending on where you go with it, orientation of the protagonist can make a lot of players uncomfortable. The option to pursue changes to a certain character's dialogue(or extra dialogue) should be limited to just the one character, leaving whether to dip into it up to the player.
As for the inclusion of romance, it should be important to the plot or add flavor to it, instead of be "hey look over here for a minute" before wandering back to a "main" story. What themes are the focus of the plot? Adding romance creates other variables to balance in order to keep the overall story in center stage. Whatever they include can't be distracting at the wrong moments, too distracting, or filler content. Additionally, the amount of content they can add, however appropriate, is limited by workload.

Personally I wouldn't like any kind of romance, romance in any game where you get to choose it or your protagonist is in a relationship makes me uncomfortable. If Clem's a secondary character then by all means give her a relationship if it helps the plot in any way.
I heard it on the Internet, so you know it has to be true.
But seriously, there's a few videos on Youtube of it IIRC, and it was in a Cracked article about game content being hidden in the files or some such.

It's just that some people say it is a choice. It is not.

Heterosexual.
EDIT: Wasn't supposed to be in reply to you.
Doesn't matter what her sexual preference is. To me at least.
EDIT: Completely forgot I already posted in this thread.
No problem. Just a small mistake.
There's a word for that, and it's called bisexuality.
I'd rather the romance not be a forced plot device.
....What? So a married couple showing affection for each other is annoying? How? I don't get this complaint.
How else do you expect a young couple to act in a apocalypse?
I think she can fit in any of those categories but I personally feel like after what Clementine experienced that she may choose to be more on the asexual side of things.
I think that Telltale can pull it off
It's an ironic joke. If Omid and Christa were gay people would be freaking out about it being shoved down their throats.
I'm just saying, it's fine if they're straight and stuff, but they should keep it to themselves. Like, not everyone wants to know.
It's often put into that situation.

Clem should be Lesbian

I think it should be up to us the players on how we think we want our clem to be i probably would make mine a lesbian if given the choice
No romance, dammit.

Agreed, if you think about it, she never really related or interacted very closely to other children in the game.
Well not to pull an Ellie and find a white girl to like. I'd say bi in the most

Who gives a shit?
Let me ask you, when it comes to the ME trilogy, why do you think Ashley Williams wasn't made bisexual, as was done with Kadian?
54 for the folks who love the even safer side.
You're kind of late...
What's wrong with Being a Lesbian?
