Your top 5 badass AMC TWD characters
Killing time before season finale. Here's my list:
(Only S5 people who are alive)
Rick- His awesome speeches/lines: "We are The Walking Dead", "We get to come back", "This isn't a democracy anymore", "They're fucking with the wrong people" etc , bit through a man's neck, how he killed Gareth with the machete that he previously said he'd kill him with, unexpectedly knocks out Aaron, tackles Pete through the window, he gives 0 fucks, the list goes on.
Michonne- Badass samarui, she shreds zombies like nothing and her tactic of keeping 2 walkers tied up. She's smart af.
Carol- For the fact that she is the sole reason why the group is still alive. If she didn't cause the mass destruction she did at Terminus, the group would have been eaten.
Abraham- It's Abraham man, he's a beast when it come to dealing with zombies, a savior when it comes to endangered lives(Now that is, but not when he was guarding Eugene from before.)., and his no nonsense attitude. Oh and also "Mother dick!".
Daryl- He had some cool moments such as: Burning a house down then throwing up the middle finger with beth as it disenegrates, destroying a tank and then of course driving his bike give no fucks.
Honarable mention:
Eugene- For saving Tara, and drawing the herd of zombies away from the doors to create an opening for Glenn, Noah and Nick with the sound of dubstep blasting from the van. He really grew a pair that episode.

Yeah I agree about Carl, he really isn't annoying anymore. I can't wait for Glenn to kill Nick(Hopefully). I would like to see him go crazy in a scene or somehow get lost from the group and be lonewolf for a little bit, so far he has been smart, calm and collective since the very start which is impressive for a guy living in the apocalypse.

Rick, Carol, Michonne, Abraham, and Glenn are the most badass characters IMO.

1.) Rick - Dis motherfucker is ice cold.
2.) Glenn - I respect characters that can get shit taken care of, while still keeping their sense of humanity. And Glenn is really the only one that has consistently done this. With most of the other characters, its one or the other (Humanity vs Survival), and that's just a bull shit way of thinking in my opinion. You can be capable without being an asshole.
3.) Michonne - Realistically, I don't think a katana is a practical weapon even against zombies. They were meant for slicing arteries and tendons, not for hacking limbs off. But other than that suspension of belief she's badass. And again, she's capable without being a sociopathic dick.
4.) Abraham - Even when he was about to off himself, he still put it on hold long enough to save Eugene. Eugene thought he had to lie in order to get Abraham's help, but I think if he had just asked honestly, he would've gotten it (might've taken a little begging, but still). Abe is a man of honor. Definitely a guy I would want rolling with me.
5.) Morgan - Dude might've gone insane for awhile, but he had an entire town on lockdown by HIMSELF.
Everyone else pretty much sucks.
Can't wait to see more of Morgan..
That's what I love about Rick , he's the perfect amount of crazy. If I was naming characters of all seasons alive or dead, Merle would've been my 2nd.
After the Season FInale, Morgan set a whole new level of badass.

In my opinion almost everyone from Ricks group proved themselves as a badass at least one time... except Gabriel, fuck that bitch.

Daryl is not a badass, he's just written to be the stereotypical good guy with very little flaws. The fact the writers had him take down a tank by himself and use a decomposing corpse as a shield against assault rifle bullets just shows he's terribly written. He has no place on the show anymore.

Rick, Daryl, Abraham, Michonne, Morgan! But also Carol, her character's development is the best one!
I don't even like Daryl, but that's still not the case. It shows that those scenes needed better writing, not the character. Daryl didn't do anything particularly over the top, he tossed a grenade into the tank's cannon, which I don't think would have worked in real life, but that's not the point. Literally any of the characters could have done that. Hell, all the characters have done fairly ridiculous things in the name of badassery. It does not speak at all to their character arcs.
Daryl was the best written character for seasons 2 and 3, because most of the characters sucked during those seasons and the writers and showrunner had a major love affair with him. I hated it, but it doesn't change the fact that Daryl was a consistently written character with a decent arc. He's a boring character now, no doubt, but he does have the history to back up his place in the show. I don't mind him as much right now because if you've noticed, Daryl hasn't been Rick's right hand man for a good while now (Michonne, Carol, and Glenn have been in that light for a while), and that's how it should be. Making him a recruiter was a great idea because it fits his tracker character, and his boring character was hidden by the creepy, interesting events going on outside the walls, while the more compelling characters got their chances to shine within the walls.
Of the surviving cast...
Carol. The most well developed, badass, and interesting character on the series.
Rick. The other most well developed, badass, and interesting character.
Michonne. Great fighter, loyal friend, and great character who has become Rick's wise counsel.
Glenn. Thought he was largely boring for a long time, but man, he changed my mind in a big way in season 5B. He's become a real hero and a leader in his own right.
Abraham. He still has more growth to do, but he's definitely won me over. He's a man of honor, a good leader, and will do what it takes to survive every time.
Not in any specific order, either.

I don't care about how well he was written in the past, I can't stand his character and frankly, it's time for him to go.
