If they haven't got the money then why don't we just pay back the donator's themselves (or... should I say ourselves? However you say it. Ya know what I mean. I'm freaking out right now.)? This way the donators can be happy and we don't have to go to the slammer.

I just recently joined and haven't done a single thing since then and now I have to worry about getting sued?

You don't need to be worried, only the project creator would be liable if it ever made it that far but i highly doubt it will.

I just recently joined and haven't done a single thing since then and now I have to worry about getting sued? I shouldn't have bothered joining in the first place... THE DONATORS BETTAH GET THEIR DAMN MONEY! I DON'T WANNA GO TO THE SLAMMER! :C

  • Well that brings some relief.... well for myself at least. I joined and had literally zero involvement since the start. I'm leaving the group (cowardly I know.... for things like this I don't have the spine). Hopefully they get the donations back (don't look at me, people, I have zero knowledge of online money transaction) to the people if they really cancelled it 100 percent. Maybe... just maybe if they 100 percent reopen the project I'll rejoin. Only if the project is actually continuing and the donations are returned I may rejoin. Some says it's cancelled, some say it's continuing and it's making me all confused and this talk about the donations just adds the pressure.

well i have not been involved in the project much legendary took charge early on he has been the director of the project for many months and he created the kickstarter and had managed alot of the project so i have had little to no involvement with this project to be honest regardless of me creating it

Whoever created the Kickstarter is responsible should the project fail to deleiver, if it doesn't meet it's funding goal no money will be taken.

There is some useful information on the kickstarter FAQ that might be helpful for some people.

What should creators do if they're having problems completing their project?

If problems come up, creators are expected to post a project update explaining the situation. Sharing the story, speed bumps and all, is crucial. Most backers support projects because they want to see something happen and they'd like to be a part of it. Creators who are honest and transparent will usually find backers to be understanding.

It's not uncommon for things to take longer than expected. Sometimes the execution of the project proves more difficult than the creator had anticipated. If a creator is making a good faith effort to complete their project and is transparent about it, backers should do their best to be patient and understanding while demanding continued accountability from the creator.

If the problems are severe enough that the creator can't fulfill their project, creators need to find a resolution. Steps should include offering refunds, detailing exactly how funds were used, and other actions to satisfy backers. For more information, see Section 4 of our Terms of Use.

Don't worry, it won't get that far. We already asked Goofy to contact Kickstarter about it. Probably some kind of ''assholish'' mistake from them.

If they can't get the money back, i'm fairly sure we can pay whoever didn't get the money back. Wouldn't be a great outcome in my eyes, but at least everything would be solved.

(Besides if we did go that far, Legendary would be the one going to slammer, not us. >.<)

  • I think Goofy donated 150 and one of our Voice actors donated 250. It could be the other way around, not sure.

  • Wow, this went to shit fast... really wanted to see this happen.

  • Holy crap this thread is going crazy. I just wanted to say Legendary isn't scamming anyone. You seen the picture of the email saying all pledges have been canceled. Anyway... I'll be releasing a video here shortly updating you guys on why we couldn't do 3D and what we are currently trying to do now.

Don't need to apologize, lol. Don't worry about it.

btw cant change it sorry :S

  • In all honesty, when I saw this project I was excited though I had my doubts about whether you should be using Kickstarter for this exact reason. Nonetheless, hopefully people will be getting their money back as I doubt this was any type of scam at all. Let's just wait for all this to blow over and just calm down.

  • Great job.

And on a side note I'm actually quite offended that some people think this is a scam after I have been here on these forums for about 2 years and have worked my ass off for 7 months straight on this for all your enjoyment.. just hurts to see some of these messeges.

  • Hey guys we would like to make a new thread and discard this one as our video is now released, so please if I can request this thread be sunken or locked that would be great.

  • @Ozzyuk I created this thread so please lock it we wanna start fresh as legendary said

  • Random? This thread was created way before this was actually considered to be a project. It's not like we created this thread and launched the Kickstarter we had at the same time.
