Season 3, 1 thing you would include! :)

If you could choose one, but only one thing that would be in Season 3, what would it be? (For example, locations, characters, gameplay)

I would make them add more hubs, since the s1 had alot, and s2 almost none, and that made the locations less interesting and character more generic, since you couldnt get to know them more

Longer episodes. Shorter episodes severely reduce the limit of interaction and character development, longer episodes would fix that. Episodes should be as long as the writer wants them to be to get the job done and would fix most off the problems people had with Season 2. It doesn't matter who writes the episode if they aren't given the tools they need to make it good.

  • Really? You couldn't just ask the question? You had to get in some irrational bashing on S2. sigh

To answer your question. I would like to have some way of ordering your fellow survivors to scavenge for materials, food, and weapons. Like assigning who would be the best for the job or something. They did this (kinda) at the end of S1 when Lee was ordering Christa, Ben, Omid, and Kenny to help secure the mansion. That was cool until it didn't matter. If we play as Clem I don't know how TT would pull it off, but this is just my opinion on something I would like to see in S3.

  • Please tell me how that is bashing... It's my opinion, if you have another, feel free to share it. I thought the season was poor of character development.

  • Don't want to go off topic, but S2 did have hub areas. Your sentence about S2 was longer than the topic question itself.

  • One thing I'd actually to see is more "interactive" choices. What I mean by this is when you make a choice you actually have to perform the actions like with most of the choices in Season One. (e.g. giving Larry CPR you actually had to do the compressions not just press one button and be done with it. Or restraining Lily while Kenny crush's Larry's skull).

I really want this to be implanted again, it makes our choices much more meaningful (as in a emotional level, not in consequences) than just playing out like they did in S2. I know some choices in S2 did this (e.g. Killing Sam and removing Saritia's arm) but I think more "interactive" choices should occur in S3 so it can feel more "real".

  • To be fair, I said ''almost none''. Maybe I over-exaggerated, but It still was dissapointing compared to S1. :D

Plus, the hub areas was mostly walking around and touching stuff, not speaking to people and learning about them. Less hubs=Less character development.

I'm not gonna go on a rant now. I just feel strongly about hubs being in the game XD

  • o.k. fair enough. Trust me, I would love more time/hubs to interact with the people as it is one of the strongest points in the game. If there is one thing that HUB areas in S2 could improve on it's talking to people with more than one line of thought. Like multiple conversation options with a character. Everything in S2 hubs were a bit on a one track conversation leading no where.

yeah i get what ya mean depending on ur choices like that it would of course show what the characters think about ur actions and they would play a affective role in future sections in the story and overall have that big impact on ya

Having it take place inside a community. Something akin to Alexandria/Hilltop/etc

I can think of so many interesting directions for the story to go in that setting

  • I would like to see more exploration of the mental state of the characters. For example: if Clem is the PC, I would like to see options where people can dive more into how she feels and how the past years have affected her. Another example is seeing how the constant death, killing, running, and struggling has effected people.

  • No offscreen deaths, no cursed lakes and no more lets-give-him-three-lines-before-we-kill-him-cuz-he-is-determinant-anyway

  • Less throwaway characters. Develop the new group and their relationships, don't just use them to fill the death scene quota again.

  • Good writing

    No offscreen deaths

TV Show also had offscreen deaths, I think, so you're asking impossible.

Unless there are characters that we choose not to kill/shoot so they can die later in the same episode.

Season 1 (game) didn't have any offscreen death for main characters, I think. So... yeah, of course it's possible.

it had. We don't see offscreen death but we can hear it and it's still off screen death. (for example we can hear shot or someone's screaming but we don't actually see his/her death). In that case, Ben had (determinant) off screen death, I think.

Also Mark had off screen death and Chuck too.

  • I gotta say, with all of this level-headed feedback from fans, I'm feeling pretty optimistic about Season 3, considering how TellTale takes fan feedback into consideration. Keep it up, guys! :)

  • Thanks for that! I forgot about Katjaa! ^^ She's a main character, right? She died off screen. ;)

  • Again, exactly what I just said. We did not SEE her dying, but we know how she did and we heard the shot. And we talked to her 10 seconds before she died. I'm talking about what they did to Nick. I'm not complaining for example the (determinant) Carver offscreen death. -_-

We heard the shot but we didn't saw her death just like with Nick. Katjaa was in the woods with Kenny. They were far from Lee and the group so we only heard gunshot. Also we know how Nick died. He tried to find others and bring help to Luke but he got stuck going over the fence and walkers finished him. He was shot in the arm but it wasn't fatal injury.

Of course, if you don't know about this - Kirkman in his comics killed a few characters "off screen" too and I'm talking about characters who died like Nick. We didn't heard anything, we didn't saw anything. In the comics we just found them dead, that's all.

  • Well Chuck and Mark only showed up for one purpose. Carver and Stranger had several.

Chuck - Showed up. Gave Lee advice. Died

Mark- Showed up- Went to the dairy- Eaten by the St. Johns

  • Katjaa's death was, literally, offscreen. And I understand what you mean but that's not really what I'm complaining about. If telltale decided to not show Sarah being eaten alive, but we were present at the moment (like Ben's or Katjaa's death) it doesn't mean they killed her totally offscreen. The only death in season 1 that I recall being similar to nick's death is chuck's death. But I, personally, don't consider him a main character. And Mark's death is not exactly offscreen, only because we did not see the exactly moment when he turned to a zombie it doesn't make it offscreen, we saw him struggling to live. But yeah, I get what you're saying even that's not being my real problem with offscreen deaths.

  • Stranger puprose was to kidnap Clementine and then he died. Carver purpose was to eventually take Clementine and the group to the Howe's and a few days later he died.

  • Carver and The Stranger provided a threat to every group member

Carver- Kill Alvin and Walt- Capture The Group- Beat Kenny and Luke.

The Stranger- Got the entire group lost- Successfully brainwashed Clementine-Remained a constant Ant threat to Lee

Mark and Chuck basically existed for a solo purpose. Mark was only there to make the St. Johns look like monsters, Chuck was only there to give Lee advice and enhance the relationship with Lee and Clem

  • I would like the slogan, "The story is tailored by how you play" to really reflect the game. This means more interesting, impactful choices that have consequences. Along with better character relationships and locations to explore.
