I heard patching costs money (especially since this is on multiple platforms) and this character model blunder hasn't been pointed out till now.
Actually it was pointed out on day 1 of release by someone, I remember a thread. Hopefully for all of our sakes they learned from whatever mistakes they made in S2 to make S3 Better.
I heard patching costs money (especially since this is on multiple platforms) and this character model blunder hasn't been pointed out till … morenow. People thought it was just a weapon switch which yet again is not that big of a deal. Crazy shit like this happens all the time and we don't notice both on S1 and 2, so yes S3 will probably have an oppsy here and there.
The dream sequence with Lee was only put in the game to act as emotional bait to the lowest common denominator and literally, and I do mean LITERALLY served no purpose.
I thought it served the purpose of reminding the player that sometimes there are no right choices, also some foreshadowing on the Kenny/Jane decision and that Clementine might has to toughen up to survive and so on.
“Why did Lilly do that to Carley?”
“I don’t know. She was sad, Clem. That can people make angry sometimes.“
-> Same thing that happens to Kenny
“I don’t know if we did the right thing.”
“How can you tell?”
“Well, it’s not like math, Clem. Sometimes there just isn’t a right answer.”
-> Sometimes you just have to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea or between Kenny and Jane.
“Part of growing up is doing what’s best for the people you care about. Even if sometimes that mans hurting someone else.”
“I don’t want to hurt any one.”
“It’s not that easy.”
-> Kenny/Jane choice again. Maybe a hint towards the Howe's ending, where Clem refuses to let the strangers inside, to keep her bizarre new family safe.
Now I’m not saying this is a brilliant scene, I actually hate dream sequences, but yes, I can see what they tried to do with it and I don’t think it was meant as a tearjerker.
If you want...
Let me first start by saying the beginning was atrocious and was such a mood killer. Whereas Amid the Ruins ended on a cli… moreffhanger that could've taken the narrative direction literally anywhere, they decided to play their hand too close to the chest and just started off the episode with everyone on our side alive and well. Nothing's gained, nothing's solved. So what the fuck was the point to begin with?
Having a Saving Private Ryan-esque muted noise segment was literally laughable because it misses the entire point of it in the first place. Whereas Saving Private Ryan's muted segments where meant to instill fear and rely on sight only to convey the sense of horror and terror that the atrocities brought on by war can have, it made the deaths and fear all the more concise. Having Clementine pan around slowly only to see everyone A-fucking-ok not only sucked the tension right out of the scene, but didn't have a point to begi… [view original content]

Well, All That Remains is my second favorite episode out the franchise only behind No Time Left. The episode was excellently paced, had superb atmosphere, and made me feel like a lone child trying to scrap by to survive a cold bitter world. So, there's that.
In terms of other things, I liked where Amid the Ruins was heading and enjoyed that it was more concise and had some excellent moments that I really appreciated. It may have alienated a lot of people with Nicks' and Sarah's deaths, but it didn't ruin the entirety of the episode in my opinion.
There are other little things sprinkled throughout that I liked such as some of the symbolism (like the butterfly in the beginning of In Harms Way) or the playground in the final conflict (the only ok thing in the whole finale in my opinion). I liked that TT made Rebecca an actually great character and she was one of the few people that I felt like evolved throughout the season from being "that bitch" to her being even nice enough to melt my cold heart, so good on them for that.
Plus, I LOVED the cliffhanger at the end of Amid the Ruins. Easily one the coolest moments from either season and kept me at the edge of my seat (something that is incredibly hard to do).

Good post. Could you share what you would have liked to have seen in Season 2? It certainly wasn't anywhere near as good as Season 1 in my opinion

I think they were probably like "I wonder if anyone's gonna notice" and swapped them.
