Why people should forgive Arvo

  • Arvo and Ben are pretty much the same people, both were plot devices used to take Kenny's abuse. Why would i hate a gun if it shot someone i cared about? I wouldn't. The gun is just doing what it was made to do.

  • We don't know what might've led them to the ambush though, Arvo could've been forced

  • I don't judge characters by age though. It's like what Chuck the hobo said before. It's about being alive. Michelle or whoever that girl was knew what she was doing when trying to rob Clementine. Had she not take the gun, she wouldn't have shot Omid.

This is TWDG. He didn't see his sis as a walker and how many other characters have refused to listen when others are pointed out as being walkers? Anyone hating Arvo for these reasons is being hypocritical, not putting themselves in his shoes

  • I dont really hate Arvo he didnt do anything to make me dislike him, honestly i sound terrible for this but i couldnt give two shits when he shot clem

  • Screw Arvo I wish Telltale would put Daenery's Dragon and make Arvo burn.

  • Well maybe he should be blaming the people who forced him then.

If he thinks someone murdered his loved one, he isn't gonna think very rationally

Sadly I do have to agree about not really feeling anything when Clementine was shot, while your example is probably because you never liked her mine's because I could see it coming from a mile away, from the moment the game gets you to shoot Natasha, it's quite obviously leading you onto a set up, especially with the constant dirty looks from Arvo. As well I wasn't afraid she'd die as that 6 second Vine Telltale showed was a scene that had not yet happened.

Oh god, please no. Let's not start with this again. This is just like Jane v. Kenny.

  • I really don't think telling us Arvo shot a 11 year old just to get 30 seconds extra time is defending him.

Besides no I would not shoot someone for killing someone that is already dead. Arvo knew just as much as everyone that his sister was dead and he wanted to take the blame over to Clementine because blaming himself for her death would be too hard. He is actually kind of similar to Kenny in that area. Both put their anger of the death of their loved ones out on people that didn't really do anything wrong.

  • What I really hate about Arvo is that no matter how you treat him his opinion of you is always the same - there are no real consequences as to how you treat him or if you stole the medicines - nothing matters - he hates you in the end and tries to kill you.

I am so burnt up about him getting away - I desperately hope that he returns in Season 3 - where I will destroy everything he holds dear and then kill him in the end - making sure he suffers.... a lot.

I'm pretty sure he already believes you destroyed everything he holds dear to himself, why do you think he shot Clem? Being nice to Arvo isn't going to make him think you didn't murder his sister in cold blood.

  • You forgive Arvo but not Kenny? weirdo. Lets take a look at Arvo. HIS group jumped yours with guns. HE and his group were responsible for his sisters death. THEY chose to use violence. Arvo is hooked on drugs, Arvo shot Clementine. Arvo is a piece of shit. What you have is a violent individual that used violence, and then when someone he loved got killed didn't like it very much. The only time he doesn't like violence is when it's happening to him. He doesn't mind it when he, and his group are doing it.

  • I didn't like what they did with him in Season 2. He was pretty lousy written and was very unlikable

  • Well yeah. If he was a big lovable teddy bear there wouldn't have been any conflict with Luke, or Jane. Although I think he was pretty heavy handed in a lot of ways, he still looked out for Clementine, and AJ. He was a person who had lost his entire family, and just recently his girlfriend. If you would still be a really lovable, and polite person after all of that I'd say you probably were a little insane.

  • I think they just made him into a generic time bomb. Kenny was at least interesting and had character in Season 1. I still liked him more than Jane (worst character in the series along with Bonnie) but yeah

  • I can't forgive Arvo because he was given time....now I know you just mentioned the whole thing about the time and still being in grief but just stay with me for a sec.

Kenny, the supposedly angriest most impulsive least rational hugest instinctual idiot on the planet, what does he do when ben tells him he caused his family's death. He tries to attack him? Sure. Encourages you to let him die. Yes I'll give you that. But that was mere 5 minutes after. And no more than a bit of time later does kenny find it in himself to forgive Ben.

Now when you're given a day or upwards. And you perform much much worse than the fury man of illogicalness. All while in the middle of a sneaky abandoning plan. In that case the room for excuse becomes much smaller. I might forgive Arvo if the next time I meet him he's created some kind of super ultra post-apocalypse wifi-featured waterfall including anti-walker utopia. Or if he gathered the 7 dragon balls and revived Lee. Or if he did good stuff or whatever. I'd just rather not forgive him just for the sake of forgiving him.

  • Even if you don't steal, Arvo still comes for you with his group. Which leads me to believe that hiding those meds wasn't a group decision, and that he ends up hiding the meds somewhere else and says "these people stole our meds!" or "I saw people run off with them!"

  • Another thing to consider about Arvo, and his group. Now this is just pure speculation, but a possible one. If you do everything right with Arvo. Let him take the drugs, and everything. They still jump you (another Telltale fake choices). However one possible explanation is that he went back, and told the group about Clementine, and Jane. You could imagine that during anarchy a young girl, and attractive woman could be used for barter. As bad as that sounds that kind of thing would probably happen. A sick guy with lots of supplies is probably willing to trade some of them for female companionship.

  • From his point of view, Clem(I think it was her, can't remember) killed his sister. He was trying to get her to wake up, obviously believing she could still be alive. Then he sees her get up, and Clem kills her. If only someone said to him "she was a walker", would've been a lot easier.

  • Honestly fuck Arvo. I understand people act irrationally and make stupid mistakes in the heat of the moment..but he was an ass. He pretended to be nice to Clem and seem grateful for her kindness..but then lies about our group stealing the supplies...and then the motherfucker has the nerve to shoot Clem? Fuck him! Its kill or be killed in the zombie apocalypse, and he just happened to be on the losing side. I felt a little bad for him losing his sister, but I'd rather she be dead than one of Clem's group in the shootout. If he didn't want her killed he shouldn't have risked their lives in the first place by lying about the medicine.

  • But come on , his group is dead. And Clem embarrasses him by mugging him. Plus, Clem and Lee are like 50 cent, they eat bullets, its vitamin b to them.
