  • If she doesn't find somewhere to leave it - that kid is going to get her killed. All it is, is one giant fucking liability.

Yeah but she can't just abandon it now.

  • How about just for some companionship, support and comfort from someone her own age, that Clem could actually relate to? Those seem like good reasons to give Clem some kind of relationship.

I don't think anyone is actually suggesting that they give Clem (at 11yrs old) someone to fuck, or fool around with. But jeez, that isn't the only reason people seek each other out man. Not everyone has sex on the brain all the time.

Agreed. Clementine doesn't need a relationship since she won't be doing anything with them, really.

  • Realism my ass.

And if you think young boys and girls (tweens and teens) aren't out there messing about with each other in the Real world, you haven't been paying attention.

Clem's still too young for a love interest. And since Telltale is going for "realism", the love interest would get killed off anyways.

  • Don't be mad at me... It's just I think Clem should be older first before she gets a love interest. The "realism" part was just a joke.

  • Ya know what...I've been thinking about it...and a romance arch(s) could potentially add to Clementine's character development. Clementine is alone....even if she has Kenny or Jane at her side at the end...I don't think any one person is going to be around long enough to be Clementine's go to guru. Clementine having to learn about love, first hand and seeing how a potential romantic relationship could change Clem's perspective on survival....People want to shy away from romance, but empathy and relationships are part of what makes us human...and not exploring how those paradigms would be affected is kind of a disservice to exploring how humanity would cope in such a world as TWD

  • Oh, sorry, I misread.

  • I'm not sure, I don't read the comments. So I'm just going by everyone else's word. Is that when Maggie's baby is a toddler?

I agree, however didn't they do a long-ish time skip in the comics? I have the impression that in The Walking Dead Vol. 22: A New Beginning the time skip is by about 3 years or so.

  • :D it got stuck and I was cba to edit

I'm quite aware of that. and Is your Caps Lock button okay? I'd take it to the hospital to make sure.

That's called a friendship, actually. I was talking about romantic relations with another person.

I didn't mention anything about sex, I just meant in general. Why would there be a need for a relationship if the goal wasn't to obviously create one of their own? It would really help if you didn't just to conclusions.

  • She is eleven for f**** sake. I dont think from what planet OP came from but I dont think that it is age for romance also romance is the worst thing that Telltale could pull.

  • Giving Clem a love interest would directly reflect on the sexual identity of the player. It would only cater to specific type of audience. The secret behind our affection to Clem ( beside the obvious plot points) is her asexuality.

IMO, telltale TWD managed to attract a diversity of age, race and sex demographics. I hope not see them departing from this attitude.

  • Giving Clem a love interest would directly reflect on the sexual identity of the player.

No, it wouldn't. TWD is a storytelling game, not an RPG.

  • TT TWD is more like playing with puppets to some extent anyway. As long as you are impersonating Clem in a love interest, you would be obligated to take decisions and say things based on attraction. Come on, not all of the players would be invested in this type of storytelling.

She would for sure not be 11 at season 3 ;-) And IMO I'm not speaking of romance - I speak about first crush.

Clementine was 8 at the beginning of TWD - turned 9 at the end of season 1. (2012) She is 11 in Season 2. (2013)
Season 3 will be released in 2016. They can at least make her 13/14/15.

  • That's the reason why I wanted that there is a choice - not a forced crush. I can understand that not all would love to play it out. It's a TTG is about storytelling and their can be love in storytelling and it's about making choices.

  • Wow, Thanks for insulting me Buddy. I know she's 11, But this is a, Repeat after me, SEASON. 3. Thread, She's probably not gonna be 11 in Season 3, and I'm not talking full on Romance, I'm talking about Crushes, and Guys/Girls she's interested in, Come on, Don't be a dick man.

  • Nah, You know deep down inside Like the rest of us do, You want a Kill AJ option...

I wish there was a choice to somehow "discard" of AJ. I don't mean kill or abandon...just discard.

I kind of would enjoy seeing Clementine experiencing her first real stirrings of falling in love. Maybe 11 is a bit too young but if they could age her up a couple of years, that would give the next season some real heart.

  • They cant go further than comicbook. So she can be max 13 years old in next season.

  • Uh, No... They've done a Time Skip Recently in the Comics, so At the Least, she can be 14. At the most, 16.

They cant go further than comicbook. So she can be max 13 years old in next season.

  • I have to say: I don't memorize on what day either one of them is. I don't know in wich year/on wich day the comics now are - the same thing is it with the video game. I just know that there will be at least 1 (or 2) comics and a dlc more when season 3 will be released. So we don't know for sure on which day they can start.

it all depends on one's definition of romance

romance to for an eleven yr old could be simply brushing hands for a fleeting moment....or the person telling Clementine that she's pretty...or giving her a flower or even as extreme as saving her life...romance doesn't necessarily have to be mushy mushy kissy kissy stuff...you'd have to think about what would romance be to someone that age...not what romance is in your own post-pubescent young, young adult mind

She is eleven for f**** sake. I dont think from what planet OP came from but I dont think that it is age for romance also romance is the worst thing that Telltale could pull.

  • The name Refrences Clem and AJ. My real name However, is Noah. I really don't know what to talk about for understanding to begin the Understanding process... here goes then. You ever sit there listening to Music, Zone out, and Create a much better Music video for that Song in your head? That's pretty much my Life.

I live, I zone out, and Imagine my future and a much better life ahead. But then I wake up.

Well yeah I kinda understand. never did it tho. But I know what you mean, imaginary live is sometimes better than the real life, and you can be whoever you want to be. But then is time to go back to reality. Know that feeling, I've been there.

Mostly because I don't like romance in video games, especially when it's an optional one.

  • What I meant was, Sometimes I listen to music, and Imagine a different Music video for the song, something that I feel is much better, and When I live, I zone out, and I think about the future, and How it's gonna be, and I believe it will be better than what it is now. Sometimes the Video fits perfectly with the song, other times, Not so much.

  • I kind of see it like we're her Parents and we don't want to see her grow up to fast especially have a man. Clementine is a strong Independent "Baby girl" that don't need a man in her life or in our lives! Maybe when she's in her 30's we can think about her future husband and father to her kids.

  • I'm not mad. Sorry if i came off as being bitchy. I just get frustrated about foolish things.

I was not trying to say that i think she needs one, or really should even have one.

But, i don't think it's out of the question, nor do i think it's improbable for her to have some kind of 'puppy love' type of relationship. Even if they choose to keep Clem aged 11 and continue right after the events of season 2. I have been an 11 yr old girl, and i know what i was getting upto at that age. Not that i was up to anything explicit, but i was most definitely interested in boys, and curious about all that comes with.

Don't be mad at me... It's just I think Clem should be older first before she gets a love interest. The "realism" part was just a joke.

  • Im not jumping to conclusions. But here's me, trying to be 'more helpful' to you.

You may assume that every romantic relationship needs more than companionship, comfort and support. And that any romantic relationship that doesn't include an attempt at procreation is merely friendship. But i would strongly disagree, and would counter that any kind of relationship that doesn't have these things is no relationship at all. Friendship or otherwise.

For a young girl, in groups of mainly adults, I think it would be beneficial to Clem and her emotional wellbeing to have someone who cares for her as an Equal and not someone who feels that she needs to be protected by them. Someone who she can share her fears and hopes and dreams with, on a personal level.

Now, i am aware she could get this from friends as well. I'm not saying she couldn't. But just because friends could do these same things for her, does not mean she couldn't have a romantic relationship that made her stronger and better off too. Without having sex, or needing to make babies.

How about just for some companionship, support and comfort from someone her own age, that Clem could actually relate to? Those seem like goo
