Thank you Liquid! I'm sure you'll love the overall premise of this story, I'm sadden for not being able to share it with you. It'll be an interesting ride with plenty of revelations >:3
Awesome part! I already like Henry and Mitch a lot, they are interesting characters. The part was very well-written again and I'm now even m… moreore excited for the next parts.
[Seek help from Rachel Carson]
It's not only the bias that is influencing my decision, but I also think that Rachel could indeed be very helpful. On the other hand, leaving her out of this is probably the safer choice for her... Ah, but I guess she will try to get involved either way sooner or later, so it could be better to get her help now.
[Leave her out of this and instead find Mitch]
We could always go back to her if we need it, right?
This is really off to a great start, I love it so far and have great expectations for this!

This is seriously the character I've been waiting for! Have I got a role for him... >:3
You wouldn't mind if I aged him just a wee bit? If you'd rather not that's fine too, be that case, I can make it work ^-^
(!) Henry will ignore the potentially useful Rachel and instead find Mitch.
The next part is about half way done. I had to close the voting so I could continue writing it. Hopefully it'll be out sometime today!
Edit: Okay, I'm sorry, maybe not today, but hopefully tomorrow.
Edit 2: Never mind, I mean, I got it out before I went to bed, but it's still tomorrow. Anyway, goodnight if you see this edit (which you probably won't)
Chapter One: “Missing Man” - Part 2 - May 14th - 6:53 AM - Samantha Jones
The dawning sun’s light shined in through the window, casting a reflective light upon Samantha’s brown hair. Her blue eyes slowly opened to the harsh morning sun, making her squint and roll over with her back facing the window. As she viewed the other side of the room she regrettably rose from the bed and looked at her nightstand, and the clock that blatantly blinked 0s.
Followed by this was the realization that she was waiting for a reply from Luke. She looked for her cellphone with a panicked expression until she finally spotted it on the floor. She knew he wasn’t doing well, that she needed to talk with him. Having only found out about it late yesterday evening she didn’t get a chance to talk with him. Samantha sighed as she pulled out the phone and hoped for any message. There wasn’t. She made sure not to spam calls or messages, but she was becoming increasingly worried. At least she would see Luke that day at high school, then tell they could talk.
The voice that sounded like her mother called from downstairs. “Honey? It’s time to get up. Get ready for school.” Samantha sighed and walked towards the door to lean out of it. “I’ll be down in a second.”
After taking a shower and changing cloths Samantha came down stairs to find her mother gone. Most likely to off to work. Her father probably left earlier that morning for work as well. Luckily she left breakfast on the table. Only a few bites down and she spotted the bus drive by her window and pull up at the stop. Samantha scarfed down another bite and jumped up from her seat. Grabbing her backpack from the side of the door and her hoodie while throwing it on as she raced out the door.
Quickly entering the bus, she was the last on as it pulled away from the stop. As she stepped through the bus. She spotted her friend, It was Kayla Robins. She was kind, wore bright clothing, and carried a cane. She was also an awfully positive person for someone without eyesight, especially someone so early in life.
She smiled at the sight of her. “Hello, Kayla.” Samantha sat down next to her and frowned as she looked around the bus. Luke wasn’t there. “Have you see Luke?” Sam asked, with a look of concern.
“Can’t say I have,” Kayla lowered imaginary glasses and gave a blank stare in her direction with her bright green eyes. “Sorry, I didn’t mean it like--” Samantha paused and let out a sigh. “You’re fucking with me, aren’t you?”
“Of course.” Kayla readjusted herself and laid back in her seat with an accomplished smile, but it quickly faded to a somewhat ashamed frown. “So, what’s up with Luke? Did something happen?”
Samantha grew an upset expression. “I don’t know. I’ve been trying to talk with him, but he’s ignored my message. I just hope everything’s alright.”
“Don’t worry, it wasn’t that bad.” Kayla confidently patted Sam on the back and gave a reassuring smile in her general direction. “You’ll probably get to talk with him later today, but keep in mind he may not want to talk.”
“I know,” Samantha said with a sigh. “I’ll respect that. But I need to know he’s okay first.”
Sam looked around the bus and spotted the usual crowd. There were a group of guys in the back, they seemed one short. Samantha could recognize two of the four transfer students in the front of the bus, Melissa, probably one of the more popular ones, then there was Eli. Why any of them came to Silicon was beyond her. Then of course there were plenty of other students on the bus, many of whom she never bother to get to know, not talking to many of them on a regular bases. The only other people Samantha found herself speaking with was Kayla, Anna, Luke, and here and there, Eli.
The bus came to a halt at the next bus stop. This was where Luke got on most of the time. Several people entered the bus, none of them Luke. Samantha looked through the window and got a glimpse of Luke’s house. Her face instantly filled with worry as she saw the tree lying on top of his bedroom, two sheriff’s cars and yellow surrounding the place.
Unfortunately, the bus began to move before she could do anything. Kayla, worried by her sudden silence, spoke up. “Sam? What’s wrong?” She questioned with concern.
Samantha shook her head. “Fuck,” she quietly hissed under her breath. “There’s a tree on Luke’s house, and it looks like the whole sheriff’s office is surrounding it.”
“What?” Kayla exclaimed with a shocked expression. “You-You didn’t see Luke, did you?”
Samantha bite her lip. “No, but--” Kayla cut her off. “It’ll be okay, Sam,” Kayle tried to reassure her. “Just try not to think about it too much. We don’t know all the details. He could be fine. He--” Her voice faded to a sympathetic whisper. “It’ll be okay.”
Samantha let out a heavy breath with a depressed look in her eyes. “Okay.” She impatiently waited to arrive at the school. And once they did, she, Kayla, and the rest of the students left the bus and walked towards the high school entrance.
Despite being blind, Kayla surprisingly had a good sense of direction. She walked so confidently, some don’t even notice, the only thing that gave away she was blind was the cane she carried. Upon entering the high school, the students went to their classes. Samantha stopped Kayla as they walked through the hall. “I want to see the principal, Kayla.”
Kayla frowned as she stopped walking. “Why?” Kayla questioned. “Are you gonna ask him about Luke?” Samantha quietly replied,“Yeah. I figure, maybe he’ll know something about it.”
“Well, alright.” Kayla forced a smile. “Just try to get back before class starts, Sam.” Her smile, though forced, seemed genuinely sympathetic.
“Bye,” Samantha finished. And the two briefly went their separate ways, as Samantha began walking towards the principal’s office. It didn’t take long for her to reach its doorway. As she entered the first door and met with the secretary who was in the middle of signing some documents. She didn’t seem to notice Samantha at first. “Umm, ma’am,” she interrupted.
“Ah, yes? What is the matter?” The woman inquired. “May I speak with the principal?” Samantha asked.
“Yes, I believe he isn’t currently busy.” The secretary rose from her chair and opened the door to the principal’s office. “But please, be finished before your classes begin.” Samantha replied with a nod and stepped inside.
“Hello?” Samantha spoke. “It’s--,” she was quickly cut off by a man sitting in the chair facing a window. “No, don’t tell me,” he said. “Anna Francisco?” His guess proved inaccurate.
“No,” Samantha replied awkwardly. He turned around and faced her while she continued. “It’s Samantha Jones.”
“Well, Samantha, what can I do for you?” He asked with a smile. Samantha frowned as she recalled the scene. “I was hoping you knew what happened to Luke Page’s house. When we passed it on the bus, it was like a crime scene. There was a tree on top of it. Two of the sheriff cars were parked out front and yellow tape surrounded it.”
“Ah,” the principal sighed. “I regret to inform you, but Luke Page is currently missing. The sheriff’s deputy, Henry Parker I believe, called about an hour ago to help get in contact with his parents. They’ve got the situation under control. Rest assured, I’m sure they’ll find Luke.”
Samantha didn’t feel assured by his statements. If anything, it made it all the worse to hear Luke was truly missing. But instead she nodded appreciatively. “Thank you. But I need to ask, is there anything else? Any, I don’t know, idea of what happened? I’m worried sick about him and--” The principal stopped her mid sentence.
He gave her a stern look. “Please, Miss, have a seat.” She took an awkward seat and waited as he continued. “I’m very sorry, but I don’t have much information to go on. And I diffidently don’t to misinform you, but the sheriffs are handling it. Please, if you have anything to say, now is the time.” He narrowed his eyes. “In fact, I understand that you and Luke were somewhat close, do you have information that could prove useful in this investigation?”
Samantha sighed and thought for a second. “He,” she paused briefly and bite her lip, “got in a fight, just yesterday.”
“A fight?” The principal exclaimed. “With whom?”
“With another boy from this school. Alex. Alexander. I’m not sure what it was about.” She looked in the principal’s eyes with some doubt. “I’m also not sure how that would prove useful though.”
“Well, it is good to know.” The principal rose from his chair and escorted Samantha to the doorway as he talked. “I’ll be sure to have a talk with the Carson’s boy. Thank you for stopping by and talking. I would hope it provided some reassurance, but if you do need to talk with someone, pay a visit to our consular, Thomas Callahan. I’m sure he’ll have much more helpful advice than I.”
On that note, Samantha stepped of the office and re-entered the hallway. She needed to find Kayla again, but she intended to meet with the consular. Samantha could catch up with Kayla and later that day see Thomas Callahan, or vice versa.

Thank you Liquid for the advertisement in Forum of Thrones. You've single handedly insured this story be much longer than I originally intended. Now to piece this together into something coherent ;_;
Eh, and an update.
I'm writing the next part with our next point of view, but it has been a little rocky. I'm not quite done and I don't now when I will be, but it will probably be sometime today or late tonight, or the latest, tomorrow morning.
Chapter One: “Missing Man” - Part 3 - May 14th - 7:24 AM - Clive Carson
Clive stood on his porch while leaning on the railing, with his cowboy hat on his head and his grey hair - ever whitening - in a ponytail. A signature to him. But to many others, an unnecessary, ridiculous fashion choice for someone now living in a cold climate. He stretched his thin grey beard and rested his hand on his neck as he let out a glum sigh. The sheriffs worked tirelessly to catalog the various pieces of evidence. As he watched, the front door of his house opened and a woman stepped out. “Dad?”
“Rachel,” he kindly smiled. “All unpacked?” She approached him leaned on the porch railing next to him. “Yeah,” she replied, “I’m all unpacked. And I was thinking of moving the rental to your garage, get it out of the way of the sheriffs.”
“Sounds like a plan,” he said. Rachel turned her back to the street and faced the house while continuing to lean on the porch. She let out a prolonged sigh. “How’s Alexander doing?” Clive nodded with vague attention. “Yes, Alex has been doing well. He’s missed you, too. It’s a shame you didn’t catch him before he left for school.”
“The weather caused some problems. Luckily my plane was on the ground before it began. I couldn’t leave the terminal during the storm though,” she explained, with a surprisingly cheerful tone. “I would have gotten here a day sooner, if not for that. But I’ll see him when he gets back.”
“Good way to look at it.” Clive smiled. “Optimism is difficult to come by.” He lowered his arm around her shoulder and gave her a gentle one-handed hug. “How’s work?” Clive asked as he removed his arm from his daughter’s shoulder.
“You know L.A.,” she frowned, “busy, busy, busy.” Her expression lightened a bit as she looked in her father’s eyes. “Lucky for me I’m here. Not there.” Rachel’s face grew indifferent. “I remember mom talking about this town. Odd, though, I remembered it with a different name. ‘Silicon.’,” she mouthed. “I thought of it as ‘Heaven.’ It was probably just the wording mom used, and it being so long ago.”
Clive chuckled. “It seems like something your mother would call it. She loved this place. I shared the feeling for the most part. It sure is a peaceful town. Quiet, mostly.” His vision fell upon the sheriffs across the street with a sympathetic frown. “I hope they find that boy.”
Rachel followed his eyes and looked at the large tree that had fallen on the house. “Who was he?” Rachel questioned. Clive faced away from the Page’s house and gave Rachel his attention. “He was teenager from the high school. Lived there, in that house, with his two parents. Of course he, Luke, didn’t see eye to eye with Alex.”
Rachel narrowed her eyes. “Has Alex got in fights with Luke Page?”
“None that I know of,” he attempted to reassure her. His eyes bared a far away look. “But Alexander has always been somewhat distant from me. He probably wouldn’t tell me. I’m not sure if he would tell you, either. I doubt he would want you to know. He always looked up to you more than he did me.” His voice sounded, not of resentment, but of disappointment. “Anyway, how about a change of subject.”
“Yeah,” Rachel awkwardly agreed. “So... how is Silicon?”
Clive nodded contently. “It’s quiet, the people are nice and I like the setting. There isn’t much to dislike.” His amber eyes landed to the woods behind the houses across the street. “I like the woods the most. It’s the quietest place here.” He smiled as he faced Rachel once again. “I’ll have to show you while you’re here. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.”
Rachel smiled as she followed his line of sight. “I’ll just have to recruit Alex to show me around the town.” She looked her father in the eyes as she continued. “Speaking of which, when does Alex get out of school?” Rachel asked.
“He’ll probably be back some time tonight.” Clive nervously ran his hand across his neck. “He normally stays out late after school.” Rachel’s expression took a dive. “How late?” Rachel asked with a convicting glare. Clive let out an ashamed sigh. “Anywhere from four to twelve.”
“Jesus Christ,” Rachel exclaimed under her breath with a disappointed grimace. “You’re not enforcing an kind curfew, are you?” Clive lot out a frustrated sigh. “He’s fine, Rachel. He’s fine.”
“Really?” Rachel hissed. “Maybe now, but wait if he wasn’t?” She pointed to the house with the tree on top of it. “What if some bullshit like that happened to him? The sheriff’s office knocking on your door to give you the bad news.”
“Please, Rachel, calm down. We don’t need to have this conversation outside.” Clive took several steps towards the door before he daughter stopped her by grabbing his arm. “There isn’t going to be a conversation, dad. There’s nothing to talk about.” Rachel gave an intimidating look. “This is going to be put into action the moment Alex gets home.”
Clive broke away from his daughter’s grip and entered the house, letting the screen door fall shut behind him. “Un-fucking-believable,” Rachel muttered as she followed him inside the house.
“Dad?” Rachel attempted to reason with him, but to no avail. “Clive! You’re being ridiculous right now.” Rachel was stopped just outside of his study as he closed the door behind him. She grabbed the doorknob only to find it locked. “Are you fucking serious? Lock yourself in your room? Open the goddamn door.”
Clive stood in his study tear eyed from the brief argument. His eyes fell upon the door and waited as Rachel shouted from the other side. What did he know? He couldn’t possibly be a good father - he had tried time and time again. Being lenient wasn’t such a bad thing, but did he regulate his children enough? Did he give them enough attention? No, he never did in the past. He was too busy being some make believe writer that could never live up to his previous works. “Please, dad, just open the goddamn door.” He heard his daughter from the other side. Could he face her too? His eyes drifted to his desk and the open laptop that set on top of it. Was it worth it?
Forgive me if this part - even the previous ones - aren't flowing very well. I'm working on it and I'm hoping for it to be on a better track by the next part. Here's hoping.

Great part! Rachel was awesome here, while Clive was... well, not exactly likeable, but spot-on as imagined. Really loved the interaction between them
[Open the door.]

We could always go back to her if we need it, right?
This is really off to a great start, I love it so far and have great expectations for this!
Kept forgetting to make a character. Finally made one.
Enjoy :P
Thank you Liquid! I'm sure you'll love the overall premise of this story, I'm sadden for not being able to share it with you. It'll be an interesting ride with plenty of revelations >:3
Thanks Quality. I guess the bar is set pretty high so far, I hope I can deliver
[Leave her out of this]
Lone wolf, yo.
This is seriously the character I've been waiting for! Have I got a role for him... >:3
You wouldn't mind if I aged him just a wee bit? If you'd rather not that's fine too, be that case, I can make it work ^-^
Pshh it's fine. As long as he isn't between the ages of 60-120, that is.
Also...
It's like ';)', you just CAN'T ignore the meaning behind it.
Voting is closed
(!) Henry will ignore the potentially useful Rachel and instead find Mitch.
The next part is about half way done. I had to close the voting so I could continue writing it. Hopefully it'll be out sometime today!
Edit: Okay, I'm sorry, maybe not today, but hopefully tomorrow.
Edit 2: Never mind, I mean, I got it out before I went to bed, but it's still tomorrow. Anyway, goodnight if you see this edit (which you probably won't)
I have no doubt that you can deliver exceptional quality work that exceeds my expectations.
Submitted my char:

Thanks for the interesting character!

Thank you Liquid for the advertisement in Forum of Thrones. You've single handedly insured this story be much longer than I originally intended. Now to piece this together into something coherent ;_;

[Open the door.]
Really Clive? Going to lock yourself into your room like a little kid?
Great part!!!
[Open the door.]
Great part! Rachel was awesome here, while Clive was... well, not exactly likeable, but spot-on as imagined. Really loved the interaction between them
[Open the door.]
He can't lock himself away forever, right?
A childish move indeed.
Thank you!
Thanks, and I'm glad I got his reaction to the confrontation right. Hope the dialogue wasn't too awkward. It'll hopefully iron itself out in time.
But he can diffidently try.
