What I've learned about this Discussion
This discussion started as a "Why do so many People argue about Kenny?" That quickly escalated into many arguments. I like the character Kenny but a lot of people don't haha and I respect that. I then changed the discussion to "If I talk about Kenny WW2 starts" which is true in some light. But then there's people that came to the discussion and said "I don't like Kenny because he was rude in my game. To others though I understand he's different" and that gave me some hope lol. People just need to understand everyone played the game differently and that's what makes TellTale great. Is that our choices of dialogue has made us hate a character or love one. And to me I really like Kenny. And there's no point in fighting about that character because everyone has there opinion on it and that will never change. I won't ever hate Kenny and some people won't stop hating him. But I did learn that there are a lot of good people in the disscutions. Just remember everyone has there own opinion on things. Can't wait for Season 3 and even the new DLC as well. To close things off Kenny is my fav TWD character and here is the Kenny the God video

He is a horrible person though.
He's a broken man . No use to anyone. Lee would be disappointed .
Not if you play the game differently though
He helps lee get food season 1. Helped get the truck starting and got them out of the gas station. Got them to the train. Got the train to go. Season 2 helped get the group food and welcomed them in to the house. Took blame for Clem's radio. Got the truck starting. And if you went to Weligton said to just take the kids. Saying that he has no use doesn't make sense. But I respect your decision as I said.
To me he wasn't. Season 1 he wasnt an ass until his kid started to die. And I don't blame him. Then we got over it. Season 2 he was great never ran into a problem with him. He even stood up for Clem and the radio and safley got them to Weligton just to say "take the kids" he's got a lot of heart to go after Ben and tell Clem and the kid to stay there. But I'm sure you played it difffently where he was An ass so that's cool to you he's an ass to others he's not
I really hate when people disrespect each other for liking different characters. Personally, I loved Kenny, and I'd place him as my third favorite character. The beauty of TellTale is that you can play the games in different ways than others. Characters will treat you differently based on how you play. End of story.
Yes I agree. To me it's him Clem and lee. But if I say a word about Kenny everyone comes at my neck saying "Don't you remember when you fought him on the train" and say other stuff and I'm confused. It is what makes telltale great. The fact that your choice of dialogue to another character can determine whether you love the character or hate that character
Don't worry about it that happens to everyone who says they like something and Kenny was a broken man I had to put him down like Old Yeller but not in a sad way.
Just putting Kenny's name in a thread title is like sticking your hand into a hornet's nest. It's smartest to not mention him at all IMO.
I agree but that's why I'm saying it. I don't read care how people take it. But the whole debt is stupied in its own tbh. Mentioning the name Kenny at all is the worst thing to do. But I just needed to voice my opinion that these debts don't mean anything. Because everyone plays the game differently.
Love Lee...love Clem...Kenny is a walker now...so I am happy with him now.
He always wavers his loyalty and friendship to Lee at one point or another no matter how much of his ass you kiss. He always yells obscenities at Clementine no matter what choice she makes in regards to Sarita. He always shows no remorse for Lilly toward his heinous murder of Larry.
A lot of what he does and who he is canon with the game.
Love your user name. And I agree, it's just a shame he couldn't have been one earlier and they waited till the end of season two.
I'd like to say I've been here for a while.
The amount of controversy I've seen concerning Kenny all just came in the past few months.
Nah, not really. People have been going back and worth about him since season 1 apparently. It just got worse with season 2.
As I said he never did wave his loyalty and friendship to Lee and any point. And the Clem thing I don't blame him for, Kenny has lost everything hes had, and he even says sorry to clem... He understands his mistakes. and all he had left was Clem and the baby. Not gunna go into a debt because as I said already it doesn't even matter, everyone played it diffrently and yes depending on how you play Kenny is either and ass or a good guy and for me he wasnt a bad guy. No other character in season 2 interests me though as much as Kenny. All the season 1 characters were great and now all dead. Season 2 characters were a joke, they had potential just never got to know them
It is but he is still an ass to everyone regardless of your choices. Deep down, he is a good man but broken from all what's been happening to him.
Yeah, it all depends on how you play the game really. As someone who was cool with him, I admit he could be a jackass at times (the character himself even admits so) and had unfortunately lost his mind towards the end of season 2. However I will say that as an entity of entertainment in the WD games, he is easily one of the best and most entertaining characters in both games.
Perhaps people get a little too hung up on the morals of characters and judge them according to that. Becca is another example. Not the most popular character, but personally I found her story to be the most entertaining out of al the 400 days characters.
Exactly this! I agree so much.
I think you mean debate
Thanks for the save
Yes he helps . But he's not fit to lead.
It's funny how the forum changed around, initially after the last episode it was all "Kenny is a god" and stuff like that.
Don't regret going with him in the end, and I feel more of a connection to him.
I love Kenny. I'm just sick of people saying how bad of a person he is when in the end it's how you play the game. I like Kenny a lot. But if you say that here you are basically wishing death on yourself. Kenny is a god still. Love that guy and I'm glad I went with him
I actually wanted to leave with Jane, but I don't regret ending up with Kenny
I'll disagree with the guy every now and then. Get pissed off and try to shrug off his crappy attitude when the going gets tough, but at the end of the day I know he can be a good guy with some darkness to his character. Making friends with Kenny seems like a good investment since we can't really be choosy of our allies. But just because I'm friends with him does not mean I won't butt heads with him.
Before i look at the comments, i predict Flog61 is gonna post in here.
Kenny can go fuck himself.
Banned.
If he wasn't, he would. Kenny is his favorite topic.
Mentioning Kenny period is a terrible idea, because no one on either side of the extreme can get over themselves and realize that no amount of bickering is going to change anything, and that just makes it even worse for the people who are mostly neutral/reasonable in their opinions
There are people that think he's an irredeemable piece of shit that probably moonlighted as a neo-nazi that punched babies and burned down orphanages housing various ethnic minorities prior to the apocalypse. Other people think he's a swell guy. Other people are mostly neutral or just don't give enough of a shit to get involved. We should be able to keep it as simple as that, but there's enough people that continue to stir the pot and make that virtually impossible
You want people to stop bringing up Kenny or stop trying to paint him in a good light? Then stop baiting people by mentioning that he's some evil reprehensible person that is worse than if Joseph Stalin, Hitler, Mao Zedong and every other horrible person merged together into one supreme being
You want people to stop vilifying Kenny all of the time? Then stop with all the nonsensical praise and idolization of him that gives them a reason to do this shit in the first place. And for the love of everything holy, stop posting that video
People are helping to create a never-ending cycle by riling up the other side, be it on purpose or inadvertently. There's a lot of reasonable and/or neutral people stuck in the middle (on both sides), but there's enough bad apples that are vocal enough that they turn it into a war-zone for everyone else
In my Kenny Loyalty playthrough he still - Left Clementine in the walker horde, shouted at Clementine, didn't do anything when she fell in the ice, pushed her onto the ground, attempted to convince her to bring AJ to Wellington, a place they absolutely know nothing about, ignored AJ crying in the snow a few meters away from him, blamed me for Sarita's death, apologized a while after saying apologies don't mean shit and made Clementine do most of the work. I like Kenny, but he's still a bit of an ass regardless.
Pretty sure Kenny died in Season 1 originally since you heard him scream and then they added an update that removed his scream.
He's a piece of shit.
Oh come on there's been a thread called "FUCK KENNY" since season 1 episode 2 where people were debating his worth
I love Kenny's character but there are things he does I disagree with when a character does something I don't like I don't instantly hate them. Kenny has and always will be my favourite character.
Same. I love kenny
The whole shit ended before 2015.
You are starting to put the people on fire, again.
Just leave TWD behind for now. We have Machonne, so, forget about S2.
People remind me of WW3 when they start discussing this game's characters. It's a goddamn fictional game! Where is your brains? Forgot it in the whole-chicken can?
Goddamnit.
shit that probably moonlighted as a neo-nazi that punched
babies and burned down orphanages housing various ethnic
minorities prior to the apocalypse.
So wait, you're saying he didn't do that?
Please can you try and be a bit more civil when disagreeing with someone rather than using mild insults as the first rule of the Forum Guidelines is respect.
