Your Favourite Villains
Who is your favourite 'Walking Dead' villain from either the Video Game, TV Series, Books or Comics. You can even list them if you want and you could explain why you like them as a villain.
Heres mine:
- The Governor (Undoubtably the most iconic villain in 'The Walking Dead' at least in my opinion. What is great about 'The Governor' is that to start with you think he is really nice person but you soon see that he is actually a power hungry madman that only values people by what he can take from them, before long his anger boils over and he kills several of his own people in sadistic rage. There is obviously more to the story, but that's what made 'The Governor' so iconic, because we had a lot of his story covered throughout S3 and S4.)
- The St. John's (Similarly to 'The Governor' at first we didn't know the St. Johns were hiding something, until we realise that they are actually cannibals who also tade human meat, Telltale did very well to make the St. John's iconic villains in the space of an episode.)
- William Carver (Telltale added a element of mystery around Carver in E2, but we soon realise that he is plain evil and controlling.)
- Gareth and The Terminus Cannibals (I doesn't take long for Rick to find out that the residents of Terminus are not all they seem and that they actually want to turn them all in to burger meat, not as iconic as some villains and could have been given more screen time, but who can forget the campfire scene when we see Bob's leg on the campfire.)
- The Wolves (They have a lot of potential for S6.)

Carver.
The choice was ever so clear
The only villain I liked and therefore consider my favorite is the Governor (TV series); when he wasn't up against Rick (all-time favorite).
What makes the Governor my favorite:
I'm sure there's more reasons, but those are my top.
Comics: Negan
Game: Carver
Show: The Governor
All time: Negan
Game: Troy, i found him extremely funny.
Show: Shane, people always villainize shane, so might as well count him as a villain.
TV-The Governor
Comic-#FreeNegan
Game-Carver
Honorable mentions-Gareth, Alpha, and Danny St. John.
TV: The Governor. Runner up: Claimer Joe
Comic: Negan. Runner up: Alpha ( and she's quickly gaining on Negan's ass)
Game: St. John's. Runner up: Nate.
Comics: The glorious big swinging dick himself, Negan
Game: Carver
Show: Governor
Overall favorite villain should be pretty obvious, because there is no other answer
Hell, if Nate is considered a villian, then screw Carver.
Negan puts every other villain to shame. He is simply the showstopper, Mr. The Walking Dead if you will allow my comparison to Shawn Michaels.
Nate is the best Walking Dead villain, in my opinion. He only has 10 mins of screen time and already a hit. not only that, his story is so undeveloped that their is so much to learn about him.
Nate is not a villain. He is PTSD Crazy.
Morrissey captured 'The Governor' brilliantly.
Agreed. I was very happy to see his cameo appearance in Season 5, and was sad to see it end.
Of course Governor. He killed Hershel and innocent peoples. He is best villian in The Walking Dead.
I liked almost all of them from a writing standpoint.
The Governor is a "great" villain, for many of the reasons others have listed above.
I knew there was something up about the St. Johns, but I wasn't expecting that it was cannibalism. That was the first time that a video game had actually made my blood run cold and my stomach turn. Now on replays of the game, you see all of these bits of foreshadowing and wonder how you could have missed them before.
While watching the show, as soon as they arrived in Terminus and met Mary, I thought, "I'd bet anything that that's not burger meat". Tried to tell people I know, they did not believe me. When the show came back from hiatus, "See, I called it." Their entire arc was so creepy and amazing, I loved it. I'd say the two best scenes with the Termites were the conversation between Mary and Carol, and the scene where poor Bob's "tainted meat" was on the fire.
Carver... I'm just going to say that Telltale did a fantastic job with him, and Michael Madsen was the perfect choice for a voice actor. I think players were put off by his demeanor from his very first scene, and definitely onward. Great villain.
I fucking loved the St Johns in TWDG
TV show: Governor
Comic: Negan
Game: St. John's
Comic: Negan
Game: Carver/Nate
Show... I'm still waiting to see how Negan plays out, but The Govnor so far
