Best system to play TWD on?

My personal fav has been iOS because I always have my phone with me and its good for on the road. Just purchased the games on PS4. What do u prefer to play on if you've played on 2 or more systems?

  • I used to play it on my iPad but recently switched to PC (with an Xbox 360 controller), and I much prefer the PC.

  • I play all Telltale games on Xbox 360 but they don't run that great tbh.

  • It's all the same really. But I play on Xbox one and I've never had a problem with the game freezing or anything like I did on Xbox 360.

  • I've heard about that, during the point with the doctor. I hope mine doesn't do that

PC. Telltale Games as a whole seem to have less issues on them. On Xbox One, my game did nothing but freeze CONSTANTLY each time it hit a save point.

PC, with the new gen consoles (PS4/Xbone) in second place

PC is the overall best in terms of performance. This also allows you access to the game's files, namely music and audio, the models, and etc if you're into that kind of thing. One small quality-of-life bonus is being able to copy save files, which makes repeat playthroughs, or wanting to replay a certain part without messing up your other saves much easier. The settings are also more flexible on the PC, and you can run the game at the absolute highest settings if you so please, without the limitations that most consoles tend to have (although the newest generation is a lot more lenient and better with handling all of that). The control scheme on keyboard+mouse might be a bit off-putting or make things a bit too easy at times, but you can always hook up a controller to a PC if you really want to play that way. Either way, the PC seems like the overall winner. You also get the benefit of receiving new episodes earliest (alongside playstation systems), which is good if you have really terrible self-control and can't stop yourself from spoiling yourself before it comes out on your system of choice (this is one of the reasons I switched to the PC version)

The newest consoles run it pretty well though, but the performance on there still doesn't beat the PC's performance, unless you have a rig that is that outdated (which shouldn't be the case. I'm pretty sure you could play this decently on a computer from 2007. For all intents and purposes, you most likely have something from 2009-2010, which should be more than enough to handle it)

  • I think it's best on PC or on mobile

  • PS Vita

    deal with it

  • This is all correct. Personally, I'd say that these type of games really belong on a console: they play very well with a controller, and playing through them is pretty close to watching a TV series on your television. That said, the PC version has some obvious strong points listed above.

If you go for a console version, definitely pick a PS4 or Xbox One. Telltale games generally don't perform well on outdated hardware (at least it's very much true for most of their Wii games and the more technically demanding PS3 games). Especially the Vita version has very distracting pauses, and they're also present in the Xbox 360 and PS3 version to a limited extent. The PS4 and Xbox One versions are a pretty big step up if you care about good, uninterrupted storytelling.

  • I'm quite seasoned with playing TWD on PC to consoles to iOS. PC is obviously the best one but I enjoyed playing Season One and Two on PS4 also.

PC or PS4. But I highly prefer pc.

  • If you can avoid it on the Xbox 360, do. It plays pretty badly in my experience. So far Telltale stuff on the one has been way better.

Any Telltale game is best on PC.

  • When i first started playing The Walking Dead, i played it on Ipad, then it came on PS4 so i got it the day it came out, and im really happy i got it on PS4 :)

  • I think The best System to play on is all Of them. Screw the Master race, Let's all Just be the Gaming Master Race. Who cares what you game on? It's all the same.

  • I would say PC because i know when i was playing the first season on PS3, it would lag during certain moments of the game. It had really bad frame rate. I would say now, if you don't have a PS4, play it on the PC, because Steam Sales for TTG are pretty cheap usually.

  • I've played TWAU on PC, but both seasons of TWDG and TFTB on my Kindle Fire. In my opinion it's a little easier on a tablet since you just have to tap to select things. It really comes in handy when there's a timer, since you don't have to move the cursor to get to what you want.

  • PC/PS4 since I own both.

  • PC would definitely be the smoothest experience you'll have with a Telltale Game. Telltale have also been doing good with PS4/XB1 recently with Thrones and Tales so those should be great options as well. Basically just avoid PS3/360 if you don't want a ton of stuttering and long load times. (The Walking Dead and Wolf were dreadful on last gen consoles).

  • PC with an x360 controller

  • What makes PS4 better than PC?

    PS4

  • nothing.
