  • Well you do call him a maniac, which elicits the "no, I'm your fucking idol" response.

Yep, if you hesitate you never get a chance to say anything to piss him off - you're a completely compliant and willing participate up until

  • Ooh, I never got that in my playthrough. My Rhys didn't say anything antagonistic before he took over. Just a half second of hesitation and BAM "I'M GOING TO MAKE YOU STRANGLE FIONA!"

  • Yeah I think ruling Hyperion is a good choice I mean I can probably rule Hyperion and help my friend Fiona and also Sasha so I hope that happens

Hail to the KING!!!! and Handsome goddamn Jack!! That take over was epic especially the speech, good choice

  • I think it would be better if the Jack AI says "Hail to the king baby!" if you choose to rule with him.

  • I chose to rule Hyperion, and then dicked around too long with the "jack in" prompt so that Jack forced my hand - and DIDN'T proclaim me the new president. While that sucked at the time, I think that that was as in-character as anything could be for Rhys. Given his motivations in the beginning of the adventure - scarcely a week earlier? - I couldn't quite make him reject the top-dog position on a silver platter, but I also felt that Jack's behavior since episode 2 merited some serious disillusionment on that front whether you chose to rely on him or not.

  • I rejected Hyperion because I didn't trust Jack not to double cross me as soon as he was in. And, yeah, I may have been wrong about that, but I'd been going out of my way to side against him and stop him since I caved at the end of Episode 2 and let him control me. So I imagine come Episode 5 he'd be pissed at me regardless, so I'm still glad I chose to reject him, even if he managed to Jack in anyway. Plus, there's a small bright side to not being Hyperion's president: If a certain group of Vault Hunters who managed to get the codes to Helios show up anytime soon, at least I won't have to worry about them trying to kill me for being Hyperion's new President.

I still have to worry about Jack trying to murder me but that's familiar territory by this point.

  • That will fit here nicely

  • The 'hesitation' ending is the one I find to be the most fitting to their characters all around. With Rhys wanting to be like Handsome Jack and run a company but hesitating at the last minute after actually being around the guy for a while, as well as Handsome Jack himself giving us the hugely undeserved turn around/betrayal that a lot of people have been expecting since the beginning.

If I had to pick an ending to be the "most true to character" it would be this one(of course that's just my opinion on their characters), and I really hope there's some acknowledgement of getting the rejection ending without ever actually going against Jack in episode 5.

  • I ruled, for one reason - If Rhys is in charge, then he can get whatever he needs and order the goons off his friends. Also, he can scrap the death order on his head.

  • I rejected Jack because my Rhys has been all about keeping his friends above himself. It was supposed to be him, Yvette, and Vaughn all sitting at that desk in fancy chairs, and he's not going to change that unless they're all there. (This could include Yvette if she figures out her morals next episode.)

Plus, Rhys could just steal the deed to Atlas! He doesn't have to worry about Athena wanting to kill him over it either too. Jack really can't stop him. Vault hunters don't want to destroy Atlas either! A win win for me. (And while he's at it, he could play one of Jack's many Taylor Swift break up songs probably hiding on CD somewhere in his desk.)

  • My Evil Rhys VS My Good Fiona, can't wait the battle!

  • I ruled hyperion not because of power or something I like to be in adventure with my friends and at that moment, things were shitty, you know, Fiona and sasha were captive so I was gonna be president just to save them and get the hell out of hyperion as soon as I can, cause I'd prefer friendship more than power,I don't want power alone at the top, cause it feels pretty lonely, plus if you don't rule Hyperion, eyvete has all the power cause she is the new manager so she will screw your friends,so I decided to be an alarm for her and saving my friends cause handsome jack was speaking and who dares to refuse.

  • I ruled it to be quite honest. I loved Jack at the time, his personality was fun, he was hilarious, and he showed he was a true friend. So I thought, "Why not? I can fix Pandora and make it better, I can make sure Fiona, Sasha, Loader Bot, Vaughn, Athena and Gortys make it out of this alive, and Jack won't resent me."

In the next episode however, I instantly regretted my decision.

  • Fuck Hyperion.

It's the squad first and only.

  • you know the choice is between friends, advanture,or,jack, hyperion i rejected to rule cause my friends were counting on me i couldn't do that or at least that wasn't the moment,by runing hyperion i turn my back to vaughn, fiona and sasha by saying, you know what i quit,in my idea ruling hyperion was before i met fiona and sasha and now i'd prefer my friendship with them then hyperion.

  • Rejected it. Handsome Jack was never that good guy.

  • Noped the hell out of it.

After hanging around on Pandora with a Vaughn who was way too excited about everything, the Rhys I played through with grew a little more humble over time. I think if he wasn't forced to go back to Helios for the sake of getting the Gortys piece, he might have just wound up staying on Pandora to carve his name in somehow.

And Jack had a reputation of being a distrustful sod eager to turn to violence on a whim. (Remember the airlock scene from the Pre-Sequel, where he blasts anybody who might betray him into space?) It sucked because of his heartwrenching moment when talking about Angel. I almost reconsidered my decision.

Also, returning to Helios was a culture shock after being on Pandora for so long. "Shit, was this what I was like before? What assholes."

  • auuu krap iz u hiperiun

  • Reject. F*** Jack. (Sasha > HJ.) Jack is funny as hell but he's an abusive monster. He was never going to help Rhys, all he did was manipulate him the whole damn time. So....

    See ya Space Hitler!

  • Rejected. Because I’ve been sticking towards Fiona’s side all the way through and as much as I find Jack funny I would never side with a guy who is abusive and psychotic.
