There is no OFFICIAL informations about what year is in comics or TV shows. Only that they take place in modern times. It may happen in 2003… more but also 2005, 2010, 2013 and even 2015. I mean, is it really that important? Year when the outbreak started and all the technology?
Either way I don't pay attention to which year it is and (forgive my tone) I don't care. The date you showed me could be only an easter egg for all I care because I don't mind if it's 2010 or 2015. Honestly, I don't understand why some of the people complain about the TV show introducing twitter, android or whatever they are complaining about. Is technology used in the TV show really THAT important? I mean, I know I already asked about it but like I said I've a big trouble understanding why some people have "problem" with that.
P.S I'm sorry if my comment sounded like I was trying to argue with you. I didn't. I just wanted to express that I'm a bit surprised about the subject.
It's all good. I think it's just neat to know, but most people probably don't care, like you, which I feel is actually more in the 'spirit of Kirkman'.
I just like to know stuff like that, but it's not important really.

Yeah, I noticed. I was talking more about other people who found it "confusing" that the show introduced social media and smartphones. I really think that year and even technology doesn't really matter in the show because despite that the world's going to end and it's all will be gone so who cares if someone is using a twitter in the episode 1? It's just an example, I don't remember if someone used twitter in the show but you get the point.
"Spirit of Kirkman", nice term and I agree with that. As I said in other thread like a week ago, I believe that Kirkman didn't cared ever about "What year the outbreak started?" because the story was more important to him. I know that something like time period might be a good tool for the storytelling but what I mean is that the creator of TWD probably wanted to wrote a story that may happen at any time, anywhere. In certain cicumstances it could've happened even to you, me or someone who posted his comment somewhere below us.

It's a really weak spinoff in my opinion, but I'm not a fan of the original series either. The pace and characters just turn me off in a big way, and I honestly consider the games to be better written.
In my eyes, it's better than the 'new' main series and Season 2 of the game, but worse than the 'old' main series (except for the first half of Season 2) and Season 1 of the game.

All I can say is I love the whole The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead TV Series and Telltale The Walking Dead Video Game. As for the comics never read them as never really care for reading books especially when I only have a very low reading level.
Telltale's ridiculous game.
She only hates TTG cuz Cluke didn't happen in season 2. And I'm glad with it. Well, sorry for saying that but Lexi is fucked up
Daniel and Nick are probably the only characters I like so far. Mainly because of the good acting, they give their characters alot of personality. The rest however, I'm not too sure about.. Kim Dickens' character kinda annoys me, I feel like she's similar Andrea. Travis is the boring typical good guy, and his personality is stale as shit(Same with Maddy). Alicia seems pretty damn dumb when it comes to surviving. Just eye candy imo. Travis' wife seems alright so far, I find Chris to be annoying and as for Daniel's daughter... More eye candy lol. I really hope it gets better.
So far the show is boring to me. no zombies and alot of empety scenes. going to watch episode 5 and if there is no more zombies bye bye FTWD, welcome day z.
All in all I think the show is alright, but it's moving a little too slow in my opinion. We're four episodes in and barely anything has changed. I do like a few of the characters, though (Nick, Alicia, Daniel).
I agree with you in regards to Madison and Travis. Honestly, they just don't seem very bright.. and it's kind of annoying when coupled with their personalities.
I don't get the knock on Alicia though. She hasn't really done anything stupid at all in my opinion. Out of all the main characters, she's really the only one who hasn't screwed up yet. I know that she tried to go off on her own in episode two, but she knew literally nothing about the state of the situation at that point, so she can't really be blamed for simply wanting to go check up on her ill boyfriend. Even in the following episode, she didn't get an idea of what was going on until the end. She was sheltered from the situation for quite awhile. Madison or Nick really should have told her what was going on.

Yeah, I just think the show could have gotten to that point a little sooner in my opinion. I do understand the route they went though, in terms of taking time to introduce the characters and all that.
The latest episode also moved unnecessarily slow in my opinion.
I'm enjoying it so far. Naturally people are going to start comparing it to The Walking Dead TV Series. But I still say it's too early to compare as Fear the Walking Dead is still in its first season. Give it some time, then we can start comparing.
obviously they ran out of ideas with that title, but pretty sure i'm curious and interested to watch since the characters aren't based on comics or games

Survival is suppose to be your instincts, not something you first learn in the apocalypse. The main thing I dislike about her is that she's a bad listener. Listening is important to survival and she falls short on it. When she gets told something she does the opposite. She was told not to go near her sick bf and then she tries to ditch Nick after her mother leaves to see her bf after she was also told not to leave the house. Then, in a later time when they were running to the house, Nick tells her to forget the shells and she does the opposite. She's arrogant and that's bad in The Walking Dead. To your credit though, it is too early to claim she's dumb when it comes to survival. I hope she doesn't become an anchor that everyone has to drag around.

Like I more or less said before though, she didn't know anything was going on. I don't really think it's fair to expect a normal human being to just blindly assume a zombie apocalypse is on the way. I mean.. that's just not realistic. Her minor actions of not listening were based on the fact that she had no way to know what was going on. Maddison intentionally sheltered her from the situation, which wasn't very smart on her part.

Actually, this picture confirms it's 2010.
Hard to notice such details especially in dynamic scenes like this.
It is, I also didn't see this until someone on here pointed it out

If episode 3 is good, I will start watching it. So please inform me to any who have watched the new episode.
Apparently its not on this week, some holiday or something
Episode 3 was good. :P

that salasar guy feels like he will become some governor type dude. now what i want to see is how the fuck the walkers overrun the military

Boring series... I'm just siting here waiting for Lennie James and Andrew Lincoln to take back Sunday nights
Is it me, or is The Walking Dead not the same without the intro music?

Eh could be worse she could ship Alicia and travis
She only hates TTG cuz Cluke didn't happen in season 2. And I'm glad with it. Well, sorry for saying that but Lexi is fucked up
She's a f*cking idiot if i do say so myself. She needs help
She does. And her Youtube channel is... creepy...
Well, I don't want to discuss about it anymore cause maybe it will get me into trouble
Yeah im gonna go look it that youtube for lolz
Judging by the promos for episode 4, it looks like the military will be the villains.
Like the story. Not the characters, not one of them yet...

Well the military is quarantining the area and killing infected

comic books are for people with low reading levels, lots of pictures
This series is worse than the main series
