I have a hard time picking an absolute favorite, so the top three are the infamous trifecta: Lee, Clementine and Kenny
If we're disregarding those three, then it's the almost-as-awesome trifecta: Ben, Nick and Luke
If those six don't count, then the honors go to the B-team (B for 'Bitchin Rad'): Pete, Rebecca and Lilly
And if those nine are invalid, then it's on to the last resort: Omid
If those ten are rendered obsolete, then screw it, because I ain't counting past ten
Clementine. I care about this character the most of any video game character I've come across. Just a pleasure to interact with and then control.
My favorites are: the one that died raiding a jewelry store, the one taking a dip, and the other inspiring to be an under-aged mother.
There's a few others I can include in that list as well like the emo drunk, the one suffering with split personality and moon boots girl, and a bunch of others. I hate narrowing it down to a short list ;.;

I like characters that make me laugh. I think the best at that was Reggie and his "downfall", Nate with his crazyness, he entertains me. I also liked Eddie for similar reasons.
TBH the seriousness of the show pretty much died last season imo.
If not counting Clementine, then Sarah.
