Do You Actually Want a Michonne DLC/mini series?

I'm kinda wondering if people are happy to get something based around Michonne instead of the characters in S2 or S1? I always kinda thought that a DLC on some of the characters would happen but doesn't really seem like it.

  • Nnnnnnnnnnnnope.

I'm no expert but maybe TTG would've been better off doing one of the things people asked for XD

  • Hell yeah, Michonne is awesome, and it's also more TWD content before Season 3, of course I'm looking forward to it.

  • Sure, why not? I was happy to get 400 days. Not so happy that didnt really go anywhere but I enjoyed it a lot. Im extra excited to get to know Michonne more, at least their interpretation of her.

I think theyre better off doing what they think is best. Trying to cater to fans too much is a slippery slope.

  • It's bridging a gap between All-Out War and A New Beginning , which I really curious about. Sure, I would have preferred something like Abraham, but this is still pretty interesting.

  • Walking Dead franchise has a lot of characters but they choose one of the boring ones. No i don't want it.

  • Of course!

Now that you mention it, Abraham would have been really great to play as

I can already imagine some fantastic dialogue choices

Not particularly, it's not really something I'm interested in since it's more to do with the comic events, but you never know it might surprise me. I hope it surprises me, but at this point in time, not interested o_o

I'm interested to see if they bring any changes to the formula. I'm hoping for some moments of direct control sword combat from Minecraft: Story Mode, as that would fit Michonne's character well.

I'm also interested to see how they tie it into season three, if they do at all. Dan Connors mentioned a few times that having Rick's group meet Clementine's group was a possibility, so maybe this is the beginning of that. It's just speculation of course, but it would be interesting if the Michonne miniseries was the bridge to something along those lines.

  • Nope i don't i wont be buying it since it probably won't have anything to do with season 3 because i'm pretty sure they would have said something about it impacting season 3 like they did with 400 days even tho 400 days didn't matter at all for you to understand the main story.

  • The Michonne DLC series would make for a good distraction while we wait for Season 3, but personally I'm not all that excited for it.

Ehhhh. I don't know comic Abraham too well, but to me it seems early Abraham from the show = season 6 Rick = Joel from TLOU = Kenny from twdg. Potentially very overviolent men with facial hair who've lost part or all of their families and will cross moral lines to keep them safe. Hell, even Daniel from FTWD falls into that category. The difference is some of those listed characters are more likable than some of the others, (and actually I do like where they're going with Abraham in the show right now in how he seems to be lost; I'm excited where they go with him) but in general I think that kind of character is getting stagnant and overused, and frankly It's annoying how present it is. And yet people say characters like Michonne are "boring?" I don't get it.

  • I guess what I am wondering is if people are happy to get something unrelated to the story of TWD S1 and S2 and instead get something related to Michonne who is in the comics/tv show.

  • it's a metaphor for Robert Kirkman and his hidden aggression

  • Ok Michonne is really the opposite of boring and idk how anyone thought that she was

But.... How about Negan? Shit they coulda did a Dwight dlc also

  • Not interested. Interested on dlc? Yes, but not about Michonne. I don't like Michonne

  • Sure, I'm fine with it. Telltale could've done a lot of other things but they chose this so let's enjoy it as much as we can.

  • When annouced, not really. But knowing when it takes place and seeing that the QTEs are getting really good in TT games, sure I'm intrested. Just please fix that lag on consoles.

  • I'm not all that fussy on this Michonne rubbish. Yes I will probably play it for completeness sake, but I would much rather have Season Three earlier than announced.
For all we know, it won't be released until Summer 2016, if not later. It doesn't take that long to make a game anyway. Certainly not one of telltales, it's ridiculous.

  • I'd prefer they spend 3 episodes on original Telltale characters opposed to a comic plot armored character who we know can't and won't die. The action sequences might be good but that's it.

  • enter image description here

    Very excited to play it.

  • I'm excited as I read the comics they have a seriously underused character called Nate in the games who would be so fun to see again!

  • No. I wanted something that had to do with the actual story. They could've done so many things. Like a DLC of the 16 months Christa and Clementine were together. Or more backstory of the Cabin group and we got to play as each of them.

  • well no one asked for it but i still want it now that it is a thing knowing what happened between all out war and a new beginning should be good

  • I just want ANYTHING Walking Dead. Literally I'll take anything and won't complain one bit at this point. Give me a DLC of Sam the dog if that's what they want to make.

    A: [Sit]

  • seems like it could be good. maybe next mini series will be about the wolves, making a truck trap would be fun

Yeah, he first stated it in this interview with Polygon before season two was released.

I doubt that if it happens it will be the television series group (although the possibility is still open, and if they do, it will probably have the personalities and appearances of the comic group mixed with Telltale versions of the characters exclusive to the television series), but with them bringing another comic character into the game continuity, I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of meeting the comic version of Rick's group in season three.

To be honest, I am not as interested in this than I am with Minecraft: Story Mode.

  • I'm not interested at all, mainly because I don't follow the comics. But I'm not fussing about it, I'm sure it's a really nice treat for comic readers.

I really would like a cabin group DLC, though. That'd be neat.

  • Its a "meh" for me

  • Don't watch the tvseries or have ever read the comics, I have no reason to buy the dlc, wanted a cabin group dlc or lilly dlc.

  • Thanks for the link. That would be pretty awesome, but I imagine it might be difficult to pull off, especially if a large number of Telltale's original TWDG characters interacted meaningfully with the comic book characters, to the point of changing said comic book characters (and you'd hope the characters would change meaningfully, for a good story.) But if that game were to be made, how would the comics explain it? Would there be a comic version of the events that unfolded in the game as well? I'm not getting my hopes up too high, but it could be a very pleasant surprise if they decide to go that route.
