I still disagree. I know what happens to her in the comics, and I feel that at this point in time she still has a lot to learn, and a lot of growing to do. She doesn't have to lose her limbs or lose her life in order to do that, and it can still be an emotional ride for us.
What you're implying doesn't really work for Michonne's character. She goes through some traumatic events in the comics both before and afte… morer meeting Rick and company but that's the problem. For anyone who has read the comics, we're pretty aware of how/why Michonne grew so hardened, and unless Telltale is just going to retell it or inflate her tragic past more, there really isn't any story to be told here.
And I gotta agree that there can't be any suspense, we're all well aware of her role later so if Telltale tries to put her in any danger it just won't work because unfortunately we know she lives with all her limbs intact.
I think there should be DLC for Clementine and Christa, 16 months they were together ... what happened? How the baby died? There is so much how to develop it.
If you say so, it just never works for me in these kinds of instances. Just like in other games where they show you a set of characters in the future and then they go back a couple weeks or so and expect me to be worried whenever it looks like they're going to die.

I want more Clementine, I don't care about Michonne or 400 Days, especially if they have no effect on Clem, I just want to continue the story of Clementine.
Nah. I would prefer a story that connects to the game series, or at the very least has an interesting main character (I find Michonne from the TV show to be uninteresting and dull; don't know about the comics).
But whatever, at least we get more Walking Dead. I'm sure it'll be great in it's own right.
I wasn't talking about other games, I was talking about them not making this DLC and instead using the same team to make one of the DLC ideas people seemed more excited for.
I can't really get on board with some others that don't approve. Thank Christ TTG does make their own decisions and not abide by every irate fan's strange or silly wishes.
Yes I do want a Michonne series. I dig Michonne's comic character and especially the character from the television adaptation. I was surprised and delighted to get any piece of Walking Dead game related news anyhow. Feels like an eon since season 2 concluded. How uncool can it be really that you get to personally chop walkers in twos and threes as a katana wielding samurai? Doesn't sound boring to me. Nothing in Lee nor Clem's arsenal tops that. I see no harm done in this. Made far more sense than the Borderlands and Minecraft, Now Game of Thrones I can get.
Nothing wrong with DLC's of the mainstream game cast.. but then again nothing wrong with a Michonne spin off either. One or the other or both would have been just perfect. But the main thing I want to see is a crossover with Michonne and some of the season 2 characters like maybe Carver's camp, wonder how a Michonne and Jane silent conversation might go.lol Cabin group, Or Clem and Christa and possibly Omid (pre-shot). Perhaps Kenny or his group even bumped into Michonne some way.
Personally I would have liked a Lily story that followed what she's been up to since she left in the RV, and for that story to eventually tie-in with Season 3. That ticks both boxes of catching up with a character we already know and also planting story seeds for the future.
It's important to me that the stories and characters we know from the game tie-in with eachother in some way because it gives us a broader look and understanding at this particular universe - I very much liked the idea behind 400 days for example, though their impact on Season 2 was enough near substantial enough. But to just create an entirely separate story and character like what they're doing with Michonne (to our knowledge so far) just seems like a wasted opportunity.
I am not familiar at all with the comics and the tv show but I admit I would've prefered a dlc based on the characters we know from the game. Maybe something to tie all the endings together or show us the past of certain characters before Clem met them. Or maybe show us a place or a character that will be in season 3. However I will definitely play the Michonne dlc and I think I'll enjoy it.
This isn't halting the progress of The Walking Dead: Season Three, as Telltale always assigns different teams to different projects. Telltale has stated that season three will be bigger than the other two seasons, so it's taking longer to make. Even if The Walking Dead: Michonne was never released, because of this fact, The Walking Dead: Season Three would have still been released in 2016, and another project would be releasing in Michonne's place.
Some people just don't approve plainly because its not what they wanted, I get Telltale can make their stuff and theirs no problem with that. But people like me a little bit are butt hurt because the series has stayed so far on its own, not dwelling to far into anything outside the games besides the cameo's of the characters in 101. Since there was so much in season 2 that just... wasn't explained at all, people were hoping that they would somehow fix the fuck ups in season 2 and give us a rewarding DLC that helped ease the pain of IMO a whole fuck up of a season. Now I'm not against this DLC in any way, it was just it wasn't what was expected by fans. I am however hoping we get to see some form of the other characters from the comics in Telltale style. THAT I can't wait to see.

This mini-series might just be that blessing in disguise to answer a couple of the biggest question marks of season two. Maybe we will get to see what precisely became of Christa's pregnancy and the transformation of season 1 Clem to the colder season 2 Clem over the course of those mysterious long 16months in wilderness.
Michonne might of spent some time with those two or three if they crossed paths before Omid was murdered, which would be why I hope the comic's plot/timeline and game's timeline match up evenly enough for this to happen. Might of been the exact reason for that ginormous unexplained time jump right at the beginning. They did say we would need to purchase at-least the first episode of season 2 to play the mini-series of Michonne if I'm not mistaken. It would make fair enough sense if they were planning this Michonne tale before season 2 began.

I like Michonne but playing her in this series were we have a great character as Clem in the lead uuuhm no not really interested.
The dlc added on too season 1 was not really that interesting either honestly and it seems they are just cashing in on the popularity of the characters featured in the tv-show.
Looking at the responses from the fanbase people are not that excited for it given that I many seems to want too see Clementines story or some of the other characters from the game.
I really didn't want this DLC. I was hoping for something like a successful 400 days DLC but... ye I guess Telltale is just not good at making DLC's xD
They commented on that when Season 1 was announced, specifically saying they didn't want people to replay Rick's story since they know what happens. Michonne is based off of the comic universe, but it covers events that weren't covered during the comics.

That sounds good. Ive been a sporadic reader of the comic since it got past 100 so Im not well versed on everything thats happened, so it will all be new to me.

I've never read the comics and I've never officially seen the TV show (weird; I really love the game). Not really interested in a mini series since I don't really know that much about Michonne.
Comments
i do, i really love michonne and can't wait to see what happens in the dlc.
Im looking forward to it as a change of pace. Im still a bit stung over the 400 days thing, so I hope it will make up for it.

Not really. I'd like a DLC related to Clem's story. Or a Wolf Among Us DLC.
I don't really want it.

No....no it wasn't.
Yes of course! Michonne is my favourite character in 'The Walking Dead', plus I'm keen to learn what she did on her absence in the Comics.
I want more Clementine, I don't care about Michonne or 400 Days, especially if they have no effect on Clem, I just want to continue the story of Clementine.
The Michonne DLC is just another cash grab.
I would've preferred that over Michonne TBH.
SWORD ACTION ZOMBIE SLAYING ADVENTURE OMG YES.
IMO both ideas seem boring, if they just put Nate with someone i'd be happy. They won't do that.

Michonne DLC vs No DLC are not the only two choices. They could have made DLC about any number of different stories or characters.

Naw I didn't want it at all, kind of annoying and halting the process of the story that I do care about...

I'm gonna be honest, I would have preferred a direct adaptation of The Walking Dead comics.

And depressing, considering what we know.
Now that would really be limiting, more than GOT and TWAU has been in sticking to the source material.
There's no true answer it's diferent opinions
The story is too predictable, we already know the outcome.
The baby died, does it really matter how? It does not. It either starved or was stillborn, very likely the latter.
Anything that happened does not result in them dying or sustaining serious injuries. They are fine 16 months later.
Same goes for anyone they meet. They'll either die or betray them, 16 months later Christa and Clementine are alone.
It would make for a boring DLC, we already know that they both will be fine and anyone they meet will die anyway.
i think it's boring.

That could potentially happen, and make sense I guess. I would have to check the timeline again though.
That sounds good. Ive been a sporadic reader of the comic since it got past 100 so Im not well versed on everything thats happened, so it will all be new to me.
A lot of pessimism up in here. I can understand where most of you are coming from but something is better than nothing, right?
Not really.
