It depends (numbers of resources, engine, type of game), but the point is that they are not creating games, but experiences, and if the time (between seasons) could somehow affect on that experience, they should think about priorities (DLCs, other games - and they have many, maybe to many).

TWD is still a video game, not a damn tv show. Be grateful that S2's first episode came out in december 2013 because that was a miracle that telltale was able to do that.
Clementine've lost more? Sorry, I love Clem, but I can't see, in any way, that Clem lost more. Yes, she lost her parents, and yes, she lost Lee. But so did Kenny, he lost his son, two wives and Lee aswell. Probably every one else in his family. Nothing is worse than losin' your mom/dad/wife, except losin' your children. Kenny got every right to lose it alittle. He did everything to protect Clem. When Clem was shot, who did you hear? Kenny (and Bonnie if you kept her alive). I didn't hear Mike, I didn't hear Jane. Mike probably grabbed Bonnie and ran with Arvo.

I sincerely hope Telltale does not get TOO realistic with that.
But if Clem is 12 or 13 in season 3, that skips another 2 years and won't that mean that season 3 is ahead of the comic/tv show timeline if that happens?

Really? REALLY? 'Hiding' from zombies is probably the better way to go , since fighting zombies you could , you know , get EATEN ALIVE. And were you there when Jane taught Clem how to take down zombies by kicking them in their kneecaps? A trick we've never seen Kenny use?

Absolutely, a good trick. But Kenny can take them just fine without. And yes, it might be a better and more secure way to sneak by them, but there is an amount of zombies, it isn't an infinite amount of zombies. One day, either the zombies win, or the humans, But you doesn't help shit by sneakin' by them, you do help if you kill zombies, even if you only kill one. EVERY kill counts.
