  • You can edit your comment and put a spoiler tag on it. But the discussion already has one, and if someone enters this thread not wanting to be spoiled and has not played the Episode, that's on him.

    And I like your suggestion, but that's a pretty specific line for Asher, who can't possibly have heard it before in the same context.

    Did anyone else in the ambush story line want to say "The Forresters send their regards" when they killed gryff?

    Well, I don't entirely agree with some parts - I had different views on some opinions then the review maker. Mostly I am disappointed with 6.7 mark - it is low imo. Episode is 8/10 for me.

  • I actually agree with almost none... Although it's 9/10 (I used to have it to 9.2/10 but I re-watched episode 6 over and over again, yeah, I didn't play the episode yet) for me. Mostly because there were too many determinant characters and you can't save Elissa no matter what. Although it was still a great episode nonetheless :)

  • I mostly disagree, however I have to say that I would've liked to know what the hell the North Grove is for, I mean, why is it really so important? Why was Gregor obsessed with it?

    Also, the rank is way too low, I'd say 8.5/10

    I understand your point of view. I agree with the big number of detereminant chars, but it can be good for replayability. But Elissa - yes, they could make more Bowen sacrifice scenes then Elissa, if Bowen was saved at Episode 1. P.S: I like Bowen, but it is more fitting to him to interrupt Harys, then Elissa, who escaped safe place and went into the middle of battle and saved her son.

  • Unfortunately this game is receiving more hate than I think it deserves.

    Is it perfect? No.

    Could something have been done better? Maybe

    Nonetheless, I enjoyed my ride. I cared and wept for some characters (which thing is not that easy to accomplish) I was intrigued by the story and some choices had actually a great impact. Overall, I'm really looking forward to the next season.

  • I actually think it deserves more praising, It has some flaws but every game has that (even Tales From the Borderlands IMO). And a lot of people were saying that our choices didn't matter at all. The finale proved them wrong. And truth be told, I actually cared for all the Forresters and I wanted most of them to make it out alive :(

    I'm looking forward to the next season, too since I've been enjoying this series a lot. I wonder what are the playable characters are going to be in the next season ^-^

  • Yeah... Elissa interrupting Harys kinda made sense... At least for me. She couldn't handle seeing another part of her family dying so she went out there in the danger and sacrificed herself. I think it's both brave and stupid thing to do. Although I will always remember her :(

    And about Bowen... I'm not sure if that's really Bowen. Maybe it's just a re-used character model of him... I don't know xd

    I like the retexture idea. Bowen is a nice guy - even if it was really him, he won us a little moment and he died trying to help us.
    And the your mother instinct reason - true, it is right. But Elissa should really be deteremined in at least 1 way of events. I would be satisfied with knowing that.

    I wanted most of them to make it out alive

    The feels man... When Elissa got struck I genuinely felt devastated, and I can't honestly realize why 80% of players would rather see Mira's head on a pike rather than letting her live.

    My bet is: Gared (100%) Malcolm (85%); Beshka (60%); Talia (50%); someone else (I'd like it to be Rodrik/Asher, but I don't know if determinant characters can come back as POWs)

  • Tfw I'm playing the episode right now but I have to reply to many people at the same time in the forums ;-;

    When Elissa died, my heart broke. Completely. I couldn't see her dead without crying. A lot. And maybe many people chose not to marry Morgryn for maybe these two reasons:

    1. They thought that Mira would made it out alive.
    2. They think that her death would be a better fate than marrying a fucking backstabber shit (although don't get me wrong, I love Morgryn as a character but he's not my favorite xP)

    Although Mira's death made me a cry a lot too since I really cared about her. She's actually one of my favorite characters. A shame she kinda became determinant but Mira's death is based on a choice at least :v

    I wanted most of them to make it out alive The feels man... When Elissa got struck I genuinely felt devastated, and I can't honestly

  • Honestly, I thought that Mira would have survived too, but in every choice I make I ask myself "what would I do if I were him/her" and trying to save my skin no matter what was what I'd do if I were her, even if it meant marrying Morgryin (she might get the chance to run away eventually). Anyway, I really don't have the stones to kill Mira (especially now that I have the whole picture) so I guess I'll watch her death in a let's play.

  • I actually watched a livestream (still regretting that decision since I spoiled myself as I mentioned many times) and the first time, I've seen her dying... but she actually accepted her fate. The most painful is that it went to slow motion until she got beheaded... Ugh, makes me sad even thinking about it ;-; And unfortunately, when I'll encounter the decision that will save Mira's arse, I'm not sure if I can do it. I don't really want Tom nor Mira to die... :'( Ugh... Feels intensifies... D:

  • Playing the finale, had me heartbroken again... Like I didn't cry enough for Telltale ;-;

    And now... let's just hope that we'll get a season 2. D:

  • I've never been this disappointed in myself.

    Literally the only people who survived for me were Gared and Asher. :I Moral of story: I wouldn't survive in the Game Of Thrones universe for one second.

  • Wait, Bowen appeared in this episode?

  • For me, Gared, Rodrik and Mira survived.

    So did you enjoy the episode or not? xP

    Yes, he appears in the Final.
    If you poison Ludd and later fight Harys, Bowen will get into the middle of the fight and backstab your opponent. He win a moment for Asher, but Harys will kill him for interrupting him.

  • Yeah... Elissa's death was the most heartbreaking moment for me ;-;

    And I'm glad that I agreed to marry Morgryn. I feel bad for Tom, though ;__;

  • Calling Ryon and Sylvi as playable characters next season, assuming they don't stick with Gared as the north-POV.

    We have no tie to King's Landing anymore, opportunity to bring in a fresh face?

    Think they will meld Rodrik/Asher's continued story into the same, making the surviving brother matter less in the future, maybe with some changed dialogue.

  • Question why is all the magic beyond The Wall ?

    Guys so what was the North Grove? Was it literally some blood magic thing?

    I'm sorry Telltale, but I'm not interested in a Season 2. Wouldn't spend money on this series again. It really felt they focused on the wrong things, and shouldn't have taken on a franchise that's as complex as the Game Of Thrones. There is a reason why George R. R. Martin take years to write the books, and that's because he focus on keeping the quality intact.

    For example, the way they handled Mira's story made feel sick. I did everything right trying to play the Game.

      • I swore loyalty to Cersai and the throne.
      • I was loyal to Margery, while still trying to bargain with Tyrion.
      • I put Sera aside and sold her out a lot. It's all about having powerful friends, and Sera wasn't one.
      • When asked, I lied to Tyrion to stay on Cersai's good side.
      • I did NOT kill the Lanniser guard. This descision pissed me off the most. There was no evidence linking me to the murder, and that's because I ran away from the coal boy. I understood if I wanted to survive in King's Landing, I couldn't have a murder that dragged me down.

    None of the above mattered. I played 6 episodes of the Game of Thrones, and it all came down to nothing. Once again, it becomes the ending of Mass Effect and Life is Strange, the only thing that changes Mira's fate is a last descision. Both leads to Mira pretty much being doomed. Telltale has failed to recreate the power of politics that I love about GoT. It's not just about death and betrayal, god damnit.

  • Surprisingly I kinda agree, except 6.7 is way to low, id give it an 8.

    I think my biggest problem is the lack of resolution.

  • I loved it, It's got everyone talking.

    Overall, a very underwhelming episode. Not worth the wait and on top of that, they apparently cut content from it. I also really didn't want to see a second season involving the same House.

  • Your fooling yourself Eleana can only live in Rodrik's if you send her away, If you don't then sorry you f..... up.

  • I gave it a 7 earlier because of Mira being made determinant (so we lost our King's Landing POV, my favourite) and the lack of resolution.

    I think everyone is forgetting Malcom who now has ties to Daenerys. The POV will switch from kings landing to his POV in that part of the world.

    Survivors: Asher, Mira, Royland. I wont count Beshka and Gared since they cant die.

    Season 2 POV's so far I'd imagine will be Gared, Malcom and Ryon/Talia

    Sylvi could be an interesting POV as well if she goes back to the wildlings.
