I don't like how Carley told Lee to tell the others about his murder case

It hasn't really been that long since Lee had killed the Senator and Carley doesn't know what he went through. I'm surprised Lee didn't lash out at her for her ridiculous suggestion in the first place.

  • I guess your profile pic makes sense on that post lol

I don't have a real dislike but she has no right to tell Lee what to do "Free Booty" be damned...

  • Knowing that Lee has murdered both the senator and his wife, I'm a little iffy at the romance between Lee and Carley as well. I get that it's been a while before the murder case, but I'd hesitate to date someone who's known to have murdered their partner.

  • Go home George, you're drunk.

  • Um, no no. Lee's wife is alive. He killed the senator in a moment of raaage after finding out about the affair. Lee's wife is still alive out there.

Well if you think about it, Lilly was told by Larry (before his death) that Lee murdered someone before. So if he didn't tell, Lilly would've spilled the beans (I can’t tell if that only happens if yoy leave her behind though) and Kenny would be pissed off.

  • I hope she died...

  • Don't say that so loud on here dude, or they'll go and make her a playable character in Season 3! T.T

  • Honestly I never understood the Carley thing. Seriously it's the apocalypse, who we were before it is of minor importance, it's the decisions you make in the present that are of any relevance

  • I'm pretty sure it was confirmed somewhere that Lee had also killed his wife, either from the voice actor himself (which I'll admit is not a credible source), or Telltale themselves confirmed the rumor.

In hindsight, yes I could have mentioned that it's all speculation.

  • I thought i saw it in the game somewhere. Lee stated his wife was alive and in some other state, I can't remember the details. It was in episode 1 while at the farm.

    Friggin' agree...

"how" and the last 10 words of the title of this thread were unnecessary.

  • He states in A New Day that his wife is in Virginia while speaking with Hershel.

  • Ehhh , she had a point. Larry knew Lee had killed someone. It was better that Kenny and the others heard it from Lee then Lilly or Larry.

  • Not really... Sigh it would be nice to be understood than just labeled. I love the double standard/one sided we have in this forum btw. Let me break this down for you so you people can understand what i was really trying to say. I admit sometimes what i say, can be taken at face value. Most of the time, i say things with messages inside them.

    For example. my last post.

In my perspective it seems pointless to talk about something that happened in season 1 of Episode 2. When did Season 1 come out again? Do you understand now or do i need to make it even more clear.

  • That's what I did and what I thought 1st time around. But nah Carley wasn't really that bad once you get to know her and is pretty much on your side throughout the game, even if you disagree with the suggestion to tell people. Only person that I told was Kenny as he was imo the only person Lee had a legit friendship with by that time and the kid just doesn't need to be hearing this.

While you were making this post, I took the liberty of finding that time machine you mentioned earlier, to figure out if @papai46 was joking

  • He never said that he killed his wife.

He states in A New Day that his wife is in Virginia while speaking with Hershel.

  • Of course our history matters. We feel sympathetic towards Lee because we played as Lee, but he murdered a guy and it wasn't in self defense. The reason Carly said that he should tell the others is because then if Larry told the others, which seemed very likely because Larry was always an asshole to Lee no matter how Lee behaves towards him, then the others would have been more likely to understand and trust Lee more. Otherwise, Lee is this guy who wrongly killed a guy and tried to hide that fact; and essentially being an untrustworthy, hot-headed person who might harm someone for upsetting him.

I'm mainly talking about how soon it was and it wasn't like Larry was going to survive long with that heart problem imo.

I know but I just don't like how she can just suggest something like she knows how it feels to murder someone. Let alone the fact that it had been only 3 months. Even if Larry told, Kenny wouldn't care as seen when Lilly somehow knew... and no distrust happened.

  • Kenny does care, though, if you don't get tell him yourself. He is shocked and even brings up the fact that Lee was around a little girl all those months of keeping his secret of being a killer. He also gets pissy that you kept secrets from him while he's being honest about Duck. He wouldn't say all that, even if you're on good terms with him, if he didn't care about it.

Also regarding the "3 months" thing, that was Carley's point. Waiting to do it would only make it worse because that would mean the deception went on longer. Kenny even straight up says that if you keep it from him. "Were you ever going to get around to telling us that?" Carley was right in that regard. It's just that Kenny lost his family right after that, so it stops mattering to him (like most things), as he says on the train.
