Okay so I finished the swordfight, and I got the bone and the anchor, and haven't managed do do anything at the thief's place. At the thief's place, I got the hint to use the dog to find lechuck's treasure, but I don't see any dog? Help on what to do next?

    Let's trade for information.

    The dog is at the Gateway; walk south from the Grog Machine (the path isn't obvious, but it's there). Don't feel bad; I felt like I was going nuts with Guybrush prattling on about a dog when I couldn't remember ever seeing one (didn't think back to the intro, dammit).

    Now you tell me where you found the bone.

    Find a dog. He's around somewhere, though you might need to give him something to gain his friendship. What do you give a dog?

    Go back to the first scene and walk all the way to the left to find the dog.

    Inconveniently, I haven't found a skull anywhere (apart from the ones on the side of the boat). More specific, please? EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out. ^_^;

    And while I'm at it, what do I do at the Thieves' Den?

    Check out what's there, first of all. Click on everything. Start from left, to the far right.

    Hey ya'll
    I don't know if somebody is past to this, but I need the "gum" in the "prison" (I won't spoil).
    I tried every item and talked to everybody, it just says I have to scare the livings...

    How do I get the thief to let me use the dog in his place?

    Standard operating procedure. Talk to him and get him to turn his back with the topmost dialogue option. Then check the pile of scrolls. Grab something else, then go back to the treasure hunt after he's ushered you out. Finally, put Franklin back on the scent and get him to dig up the scroll.

    First of all, you need to be in the correct cell. The only way for that to happen is to make sure someone else
    Bugeye
    is in the first cell.

    After that, you have to find something to pour on the gum that might react with it and expose which has spiritual properties. This is a somewhat complex puzzle.

    I'm more or less stuck at the thieves den. I think I need to get something to guide my direction from there (or point me in the right direction or whatever), but all I could find was some sextants.

    Now I have no idea how to get stuff with me, since the bastard is always stealing shit back from me.

    The dog is suddenly all noisy and stuff, so it's useless..

    HALP PLZ?

    EDIT:

    Hair of the dog that bit me ;)

    Anyways, some of the things in this game doesn't make any sense at all.

    I'm currently stuck at the point where I've opened the rips to the realm of the living, and I'm not sure how to prevent Bugeye from knocking me back into my ghost form. Any tips?

    Where did my dog run off to? Not sure where to go from here. >_> Not sure about the parrots either.

    You need to convince the merperson to come out of the cave
    Answer:
    Get Winslow to write her a note. Tell her about the note. Use the clam. When the locket is over the clam, move and the wind will blow the locket up to the top.

    Hint:
    You need to mock him enough to make him angry
    Answer:
    Get his diary from the first jail cell. Go to the bar as a ghost, talk to Bugeye, use the information from the diary to annoy him. When he pulls a face, copy it.

    EDIT - I need help of my own. How do I get the first
    item for the diet of the sense spell? I think I have all all the others but I can't think of what the first one is.

    You can't do this until after you get your physical body back, because it involves an item from the living world you can't pick up as a ghost.

    It doesn't matter what face you use. It's just for a puzzle involving the spilled root beer, which you probably aren't ready to solve yet.

    I'm pretty stuck, could use a hint...

    Got the rips open, been to all that I could find (Elaine, Winslow, Bar & Jungle). Got Winslow to do his thing, but now I don't know what to do about the gum, I've clicked on everything and talked to everyone, but to no avil!

    Be more specific about what your problem getting the gum is, this is a multi-part puzzle.

    embarassing Bugeye with the information from his diary

    I guess my problem is I don't know where to find
    the diary
    , I can't exit any of the aforementioned rooms, I saw the hint about
    cells
    , but I haven't the foggiest as to I get to them :)
