but The Last of Us was delayed by a month to steal more stuff from telltale. Every model they had was redone to resemble telltale's the walking dead. They originally planned to steal from Beyond: Two Souls but were afraid of Ellen Page suing them so they were like "oh ****" and changed Ellie's model but forgot to change her name,

They changed Ellie's model to better represent the voice actress. There were more mechanical reasons why they delayed the game, such as bug fixes and glitches. Plus, you can't change the cutscenes or story that much within one damn month.

Do you realize how much time is actually needed for that?

I've played and beaten The Last of Us and am currently reading through The Road, and i don't see much resemblance other than the world going through an apocalypse and two people heading to a destination. I never did have an attention to detail, though...

The Road has set the trend of having Parent-Figure / Child-figure pairings in Post-Apocalyptic games:

    I am Alive - Father-Figure / Daughter-Figure

    TWD - Father-Figure / Daughter-Figure

    The Last of Us - Father-Figure / Daughter-Figure

    400 Days - (Shel) Mother-figure / ('Becca) Daughter-Figure (I know they're sisters...)

    The Human Element - (Optional) Parent-Figure / Child-Figure

It is starting to become a cliché...

Well at least the Walking Dead was on of the first to do it, you forgot Bioshock Infinite, had a Father-girl not related but is important pairing, I would not say it's becoming a cliche it's just more common due to games like Walking Dead.

    ...you forgot Bioshock Infinite...

I was gonna add it but I didn't 'cause its an action game.

True and it is not a Post-Apocalyptic game, but it also had that relationship that you said.

At a point people will have to bring more to the table then just good father daughter relation ships, maybe have stand out AI or be like Clementine, or do something that has not been done before, which is why I am not as big a fan of Ellie compared to Clementine and Elizabeth, they were different but also the same in there own way.
