Thread: Did you guys see the return of...? (Spoilers, duh)
The Walking Dead Season 6 last night? If you did, tell me what you thought of it? It's definitely one of the best episodes I've ever seen. The part where Carl got shot was definitely foreshadowing Carl becoming a badass. And where everyone was just hacking and slashing every last walker in the horde. It was so badass.
Can we just take a moment to realize how wrong Carol has been acting? First of all, the only reason Sam panicked to that degree is because he was being haunted by Carol's words.
The monsters will come. And you won't be able to run away when they come for you. The ones out there, they will tear you apart and eat you up, all while you're still alive.
—Carol Peletier threatening a ten-year-old, moments before stealing guns from the Alexandria Safe-Zone armory.
Of course, Carol is not evil, as no character ever is even one percent evil. Everyone thinks that they are doing the right thing, and nobody does evil just because.
But her own actions have come back to bite other, indirectly causing Sam's death. Sam dying led to Jessie panicking, getting devoured, and not letting go of Carl. That led to Rick having to chop Jessie's hand off, in order to save his son. Chopping Jessie's hand off led to Ron becoming irrational, and threatening to shoot Rick. That led to Michonne killing him, and killing him led to Ron shooting aimlessly, hitting Carl's right eye.
Continuing, Carol wanted to kill the Wolf, claiming that he could not be changed the same way as Morgan was changed. But, she was proven wrong again.
When the Wolf was taking Denise out of the "Safe-Zone" so that she could treat his wound, Denise was stopped by a walker, seconds away from being overpowered and devoured. The Wolf came back for her, setting her free, and getting bit in the process. Denise herself realized that the Wolf would be able to regain his humanity, and doing a hundred and eighty degree turn, she offered to save his life if he was able to escort her to the infirmary.
As they approached the infirmary, Carol the superhero came to the rescue, putting two bullets inside the Wolf, leaving Denise to fend for herself against the walkers. Luckily for her, Heath, Aaron and Spencer were inside the infirmary before her. Otherwise, the story could've ended very, very differently.
Carol discussions aside, props to Eric and Olivia for being some of the first Alexandrians to step up! I'm looking forward to seeing more of the two in 6B.
I've never liked Daryl a lot, mainly because of the "if Daryl dies, we riot" fans. I often find him to be overrated. But during "No Way Out", he grew out of this "overration" shell, for me.
I thought this episode was one of the greatest ever, making it my all-time favorite.
Tbh, I expected the Andersons to die, cuz y'know. But now we can make the gateway to Richonne! And One-Eyed Carl!:) Definitely my favorite episode of Season 6 and one of my favorite episodes in general.

Seeing as Morgan and the wolf were the whole reason denise was in that situation I have to disagree there. Morgan and carol are two extremes which dont work.

I'm hoping Carl's going to go dark side again soon. He's my favourite character and I find him much more interesting in darkness. What could be an interesting dynamic is that it seems Rick is regaining his humanity whereas Carl might just start losing his. It wasn't that long ago that it was the other way around.
I'm just saying that Morgan was sure that the Wolf could be changed, and in reality, the Wolf could be changed. Sure, that's all taking into account that Denise was put in that situation because of the Wolf, in the first place.
Morgan and carol are two extremes which dont work.
Agreed.
By the way, something that a lot of people overlook, is that Morgan wanted to let the Wolf out of that room only after he had been able to tweak his moral compass. The only reason why the Wolf escaped is because Carol put up a fight with Morgan (completely understandable) and the Wolf took this opportunity, as both of them were distracted.
I'll give you the sam stuff thats fair but

I disagree with that part, give people a chance sure but not rampaging crazy wolf people who have killed people in your group already. Or at the very least let up on this in life or death situation

Oh shit, Heath's still alive. And Glenn dodges death for the umpteenth time. I love that dude but I swear, his next brush with death needs to be the real thing. The shits getting old.
GAWWD DAMMIT THEY DID IT! I really thought they were going to turn Jesse into Andrea! And instead they...THEY-
But I loved the scene … morewhere everyone comes together to fight the walkers. It was one of my favorite scenes in the comics and they did it justice!
Oh and carol y r u making me hate u
Everyone is talking about Coral's eye and Rick going rambo on all these zombies alongside other peeps so I want to drop by and mention some other things:
For once I have to say that I really loved the music in this episode, especially during the final part of the battle. I thought that character development was pretty strong in this episode aswell, Eugene and Gabriel finally pulled their stuff and thangs together which is always a good thing.
Other than that... Daryl with an RPG-7 has reached a new level of badassery - overall one of the best episodes of all time (at least to me)
Man, just around halfway through the episode. Don't know if I can watch anymore after seeing that boring motherfucker Rick win again and get another family killed with his "genius" plan. Was hoping the kid would get his revenge by shooting Rick but unfortunately he hesitated and gave Rick's henchwoman (who might as well be a zombie considering her lack of personality) a chance to get to him. Good that his brat lost an eye. Obviously not enough, but this guy has been winning for way too long. And why the fuck is Daryl still even in the show? TI thought it would be impossible to have less personality than this dude but he is still somehow beaten by Michonne as boringest character in the show.
Is there something higher than 10? The. Best. Episode. Ever! I loved almost everything about it.There were some cheesy and predictable moments, but there were so many great moments that made up for it. I think an over the top, action packed episode was what the series needed right now. If you thought you were having a rough Valentines Day, at least you're not Rick Grimes who just witnessed his potential partner get eaten to death by zombies lol That melee montage though was epic. What a great starting to the second half of the season I cant wait for negan to properly be introduced.

It could've been shock. Sometimes people who have been shot or stabbed don't realize it because of the adrenaline in their bodies from fight or flight; I think it blocks out from them feeling the pain. There was an incident of a woman who was mugged and had a knife sticking out of her back and she had no idea it was there at first.
It seems like Carl had no idea he had been shot. He didn't scream or anything, which is kind of… unrealistic? -says the person in a zombie game forum-
Carl was just going to ask, "Dad, is it raining? My face is wet and chilly."
So according to this interview, with Chandler Riggs, the scene where Carl get’s his eye blown out, Carl was originally going to save Rick's life by taking a bullet from him:
How different will the new Carl be? In the comics, he's much more hardened but that's already happened a lot here.
It's a big thing for him, especially since originally in the scripts it wasn't just a stray shot from Ron. It was very quick when we shot it; it was Ron aiming the gun at Rick and Carl standing up and taking the bullet for Rick and essentially saving Rick's life. They edited it in a different and more innocent way, which is really cool. It'll be cool to see how it ends up turning out.
I'm actually kind of disappointed they edited it, if I'm all honest.
Shock and adrenaline can, and usually will, eclipse pain. You can have similar to reactions to smaller scale injuries. One time I busted my lip pretty badly as a kid (fell and smacked a table, had my teeth sink into my bottom lip), and despite feeling the blood trickling down my face, I didn't even register the pain of it at all.

Wow, not a Rick fan huh? Well, they followed this from the comic pretty well, and Rick's plan was good as any. He didnt get them killed, their panic did. You sound like youre not a fan of the show period lol.
Eta: I have to stop trying to type everything on my Ipad mini. It make me look like an idiot who cant spell or make complete sentences lol

I watched the episode last night due to the 24 hour UK delay (and managed to avoid all spoils :P) and i thought it was one of the best episodes they have made, having read the comics i knew what was going to happen to Jessie, Karl and the other characters but it was great to see it played out on the show.
One scene i found funny in a dark way was when Negan's men where randomly exploded with Daryl shot them with the rocket launcher as i wasn't expecting that to happen :P
I won't post too much about the comics due to spoilers but from having read them i am really looking forward to the rest of this season epically the season final.

The walking dead section already has a thread about this. There is usually at least one each week

He finally lost his eye! Was wondering if they were ever going to do it
The final stand was amazing. I WAS SCREAMING when I thought we nearly lost Glenn again. Michonne being badass and kissing Carl's head was great.
This whole episode was the best of the season so far. And I think one of the better episodes there's been
I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me.
I'm not gonna kill you. Wait. Wait. You know what? Yes, I am. gets blown to shit with a rocket launcher
ROCKET LAUNCHER BITCH
It was but I was hoping he would get away or something and the others would die.....RIP likable henchman

Well, we have to agree to disagree on this, then.
i like to look at it this way: what would've happened if there wasnt any walkers around? how would the crazy dude acted then?
He would be sane, then. Just like almost every other "bad guy" we've encountered.
That episode was on fire amirite.
This was FANTASTIC 10000000/10000000
This is just insanely good. One of the best episodes in the show. God i hope they keep the fire burning for the rest of the season .
Morgan was giving a chance and he was a rampaging psycho for a bit too
Only happened twice. Yet I will say the third time should be three strikes Glenn's out by Lucille the bat and Negan the umpire.
Look at this reaction video:
Holy fucking shit! I said that at least 10 times while watching. Awesome episode.
If Richonne isn't confirmed this season, I will eat shit. Luckily, I picked up a method from that fucking orgasmic episode.
“If you have to eat shit, best not to nibble. Bite, chew, swallow, repeat.”

Carl’s Eye prosthetic and the dummy sculpt. Pretty gruesome!
