My favorite living characters are Jon Snow, Stannis, and Tyrion. Hard to pick one since I enjoy them all for different reasons. Jon Snow primarily since he is the only elder Stark child left and kinda feel he is still one of the "good guys", Stannis because he is the only leader actually addressing the Wildling problem in the North, and Tyrion for his hilarious remarks and for being the only voice of reason within the Lannister House. Oh and I saw Joffrey's wedding wine in the comments somewhere, that was a good character too.
I can't choose just ONE favourite character. I really like Tyrion, Jamie, Margeary TYrell and Petyr. I like smart and complex characters that are also a little bit crazy. I mean I find the THeon/Ramsay soty to be something just freaking awesome. Ramsay is just nuts and one of the more complex charatcers in GoT in my oppinion.
I absolutely adore Beskha. She's tough, she's snarky, she puts up with Asher and all the headache that brings, and she's as loyal as she is deadly.
In terms of the TV series/books, it would be Brienne of Tarth. She's a rough and tumble knight lady with an intense code of honor, and will totally go mental on anyone who stands between her and following through with her word.
I'm starting to like Jaime a lot more as a character. Also got to give some love to Daahario and Little Finger. Newer characters from the game I love are Croft and Arthur Glenmore (Quiver).
Brings back memories
no order for any of these (and probably a couple more that im probably forgetting):
tyrion - peter dinklage = tyrion lannister = awesome; clever, kind, able to read anyone and any situation, funny, and amusing to watch it is no wonder why peter dinklage has received multiple awards for his portrayal of tyrion lannister *ps you can't spell pimp without the imp!
tywin - same argument as used above for tyrion (charles dance = tywin = awesome) + he ran almost everything in westeros and was a (pardon my french) badass in every sense of the term and everyone knew it (too bad he did not shit gold)
jamie - mainly on this list because i think nicolaj caster-waldau is gorgeous (but i actually do like his character arc development the most and feel that he is the most changed character in the series)
ramsay - an amazing villain who is just out of his mind and truly unpredictable
roose - the north's version of a tywin lannister
joffrey - he was a character that was so obnoxious and spoiled that it was fun to hate him
oberyn - the red viper was the literal definition of "daddy cool"
robb stark - the true king of the north... great military mind, charismatic, and richard madden is goregous
davos - the only voice of reason in stannis' camp and not afraid to tell the hard truth
podrick - the most loyal pimp westeros has the pleasure of knowing
margaery - ambitious and able to be kind and calculating at the same time something tells me she is not yet done playing the game
sansa - everyone thinks she's weaker this season and falling back into the victim role, i disagree, i think she's learned a great deal in kings landing & with littlefinger and did the best she could dealing with a psychopath like ramsay as a husband and escaping with relatively minimal harm (compared to what ramsay and myranda could have actually done to her) and was able to get in a couple of verbal jabs when she could

Ramsay. SNOW MY WIFE CALLED ME BEFORE SHE ATE HER FINGERS, but I say Bolton. I especially like book Ramsay. I mean, morally I hate him but as a character he is amazing. Gets real complicated when you think deep into his character.
Comments
Arya: Cute but tough and resourceful. Sort of reminds me of Clementine from TWD
Tyrion: Funny, cocky, but also vulnerable and an underdog.
The Hound: The man who gives absolutely no fucks.
Briane: A social outcast who isn't afraid to kick some ass.
Hodor: Hodor!
Littlefinger, Varys, Daenerys, Bronn, Tyrion, Podrick the Pimp, and Juhn Snuuuuhhhh.
Stannis the Mannis!
