I'm wondering why people shared the blame with Greg. He is such lying jerk, he was using Michonne to prevent himself from trouble, I would never defend someone I don't know who did nothing special for me
I didn't share the blame with him, even though the game says I did.
I pretty much told Norma to fuck off at every given opportunity. I never told her a thing. When Randall started beating Greg, I told him to leave him, he's just scared. Then, at the end of it, apparently I shared the blame. In fact, I even said I didn't know who he or Sam were--and that I didn't steal anything.
My point being, I'm sure plenty of people -- like me -- got roped into "sharing the blame" without actually doing it.

I put down the gun (thought it was the most logical end to that scene), climbed the ladder (open spaces aloways > closed spaces in a zombie apocalypse when venturing into the unknown imo), I didn't ambush Randall (because obviously we weren't going to actually escape and we'd just end up getting in trouble), took all the blame for Greg (plot armour for Michonne + felt sorry for the kid) and stopped sam shooting Zack (he seems cool and I felt a bit sorry for him because of how Randall was pushing him...but mainly I figured that if Sam shot him, she'd be fucking destroyed by Norma).
I didn't really see it as much as him throwing Michonne under the bus, but more due to the fact that the two of them never talked, and thus never got their stories straight. Michonne spins one side of the story to Norma, but since Greg had no way of knowing what she said, he tells his own side. I don't think his intention was to use Michonne or to get her in trouble, he was just winging it and hoping for the best. If anything, the situation probably played out exactly how Norma expected it to; get both sides to tell the story, knowing that they'll both tell different stories, and try to weed the truth out of one of them by using them against each other.

The choice pretty much comes down to who takes the beating from Randall. If you let Michonne take all the hits from Randall, it'll count as taking the blame. If you let Randall beat the piss out of Greg (quite literally), it counts as blaming Greg. If both of you get smacked around, it'll count as sharing the blame.
And to be fair, it isn't technically wrong. By acting defiant and withholding the truth and trying to dodge questions, you are incriminating yourself to some degree, even if it's not intentionally.

Pulled the trigger (Little bit of role-playing here, based off my own ideas and feelings about Michonne's character)
Entered through the window (If you haven't done this, go do it. This route is a lot darker than the ladder route. You barely get to see the massacre if you took the ladder)
Didn't ambush Randall (I would like to, but I'd rather bide my time and wait for a better opportunity)
Shared the blame (I told the truth for the most part, but I refused to sell out Greg)
Saved Zachary (On top of it being a bad idea to kill someone given the situation we're in, Zachary doesn't seem like a bad dude. I don't really blame him for firing the gun, he was stuck in a room with a bunch of people yelling at him, and Randall screaming at him to do something. He got pushed too far, sensory overload and all that.)

I'm assuming, since Zachary is determinant, it seems pretty obvious that Randall is going to kill him in the first few minutes of the episode for being a fuck up.
Unlikely.... I mean I'm guessing he will just let them run away in thanks. Hes hardly that major a character so he could just be background. I definitely dont think his own group will kill him for.... um I cant really think of a reason. Letting your enemies escape? I guess.

Yeah but why? I mean its three episodes and then we will never see this group again, thats not all that long to have someone be determinant. Particularly a minor character who by the looks of it wont even be with our group next episode. Major characters, particularly group members are hard to account for but this minor character isnt that important to the overall plot.
I mean they could kill him but it would throw away the one choice that seemed to effect anything.
I didn't let Sam shoot Zachery simply for the reason that it would bite us in the ass later on. I mean we're on a ship full of people with guns odds are we're probably going to be killed. Sam's cute but she's a hothead who causes more trouble then she's worth.
I have a question... and it's been bothering me ever since I played Ep. 1....
Why would anyone choose to shoot themselves? I mean, unless you're suicidal, why would you direct a character to do this? I get some people will metagame and just want to see what happens, but from the perspective of this game, where presumably most people are making decisions based on what they would do given this situation, why would anybody opt for suicide?
It just... bugs me. There's something very weird and disturbing about TTG giving us this choice. Maybe because I have been suicidal before, but for me, the choice was easy. I've recovered from this depression a long time ago. For me, the choice of whether or not to kill yourself, even hypothetically, must always be no. Giving us the option, especially at the beginning of the game... is very unsettling.

I do get this is something Michonne would probably do. So I suppose it is how you interpret the game. Are you Michonne, or are you... you playing Michonne? Both are very different, in that regard, but I can get behind that. A game open to interpretation is a very interesting game indeed.
Thanks for your answer, that helped me understand this a lot better.
It is unsettling, but it makes sense given comic Michonne's past and personality.
I actually regret lowering the gun because I feel like pulling the trigger is almost more in character.
Pulled the trigger (worst case scenario it's a game over).
Entered via ladder (walkers can't climb).
Ambushed Randall (if there's any … morechance of escaping imprisonment I have to take it, Kenny taught me that).
Took the blame (Michonne can handle it, first time experience with her as a character but she's a beast).
Saved Zachary (last second asf).

Interesting side note, if you tell Sam that you're going to jump Randall and then choose to do nothing when the prompt comes up, you headbutt him anyways. I was biding my time, seeing as he had a gun and all, but the game forced me into it early. Lame!
Pulled the trigger
Entered through the ladder (Going in dark, enclosed spaces in a zombie apocalypse is a bad idea)
Headbutted Randall… more (Because fuck him, that's why)
Shared the blame? Sorta (I told the truth, but eventually knowing they wouldn't believe me, I told them to fuck off)
Couldn't save Zachary in time. I tried, but I was too slow.
Chased after Sam for the bag. (Like, I saved her and her brother's ass from walkers and this bitch just wants to take off and run?)
You really only see two bodies and the guy strung up to the door when you take the ladder. When you go through the window, you see the entire second floor of the ferry, filled with bodies, blood and bullet casings all over the place. Children dead along with their mothers, a row of what look to be teenagers that were lined up and gunned down, rotten plates and stoves of food, and other scattered bodies of people of different ages, along with the guy that was strung up to the door. You see the full extent of whatever happened.

Ok, I get it
humm, these kinds of things need a third option eg, "you chose to piss off norma"
i pulled the trigger because of dat plot armor
Plot armor says: Screw you hehehe

What happens if you pulled the trigger?
Pete pulls it up and the gun goes off.
What happens if you stab the locker with Greg in it?!
I tried that, he jumps out of it before you stab it.

That last side choice is a lie though

Honestly I didnt want to, but the game basically gives you no way to be honest in most sections.
"Who's lying?"
"Gee Maybe no one because we are from different group?"
Nope all I get is Silence, Fuck you, I lied, He lied.

Like what did you see if you took the ladder? I know I saw some poor guy who was hanged and tortured. Had several limbs cut off.

That guy was also in the window route. The thing is that you get to see a lot of people dead, including children.
Zachary is Ben 3.0...
I chose to grab the duffel btw.

same choices i did except the pulled the trigger one
I was hoping I could coax him into shooting Randall, but I knew the game wouldn't let me off that easy!
