Who's tougher and more skilled?

Kenny?
Or, Joel from TLOU?

I know it might not be fair to compare these two, but I'm going to anyway.
Now obviously Joel has had 20 years of survival experience, where as Kenny only has 2 years.
But regardless, to survive in a world like that for any length of time, definitely requires toughness.

So when you compare their injuries - Joel getting impaled through the gut from falling onto a steel bar, and Kenny be beaten nearly to death by Carver, losing an eye as a result - and how Joel handled marauders, and the way Kenny fought Jane at the end of Season 2 - and their skills with firearms - and their skills at taking down "infected" - who would you say is the tougher survivor?

  • Joel pretty easily, though he has more "video game skill", its kind of unbelievable at times. Kenny's combat abilities are more believable for a person

I think in terms of taking damage, Kenny would win out. In terms of dealing it, however, Joel would win.

So in a hypothetical battle between the two, Joel would most likely win, but I don't think Kenny would go down too easily. Joel'd smack him around for a while before he finally goes down.

If you were to compare them on equal footing, IE 20-years-in Kenny vs. 20-years-in Joel, or 2-years-in Kenny vs. 2-years-in Joel, now that would be an interesting fight.

  • I swear you've made this exact thread before?

Trick question. Clementine is tougher and more skilled than both of them.

  • I think so, too. Not sure if it was Kenny/Lee, but I've definitely read this thread somewhere.

  • I might have, though I can't remember. I've been on here for the last two years, and have posted many threads since then. So with that said, its hard for me to remember what all I have posted, and what I haven't.

  • They seem to be very simliar in terms of physical toughness but Kenny has a stronger willpower. He has that never give up mentality whereas for a while Joel had given up on his humanity.

Now that I think about it Joel and Kenny are similar in many ways.

  • Joel would absolutely destroy Kenny

  • Regardless, before making new threads we're encouraged to see if a thread for it already exists - andc if you actually made the former one then this shouldn't be too hard.

  • Joel. Joel's kill count is through the roof. He's seems to be quite the expert in both shooting and physical combat. The dude can patch himself with scavenged medical supplies at a moments notice, since he dosn't travel light. Kenny, you are the man, but you're outmatched.

  • Ooh yeah on that thread where there was a thread exactly the same below it which the OP had already commented in. I dont care if its some thread from a few weeks ago that got very little attention or was from ages ago, but if its some thread thats exactly the same and recent then they should get merged or told about the other thread. Its two different points

Ok. Just when I made a dragon age thread about a dlc when there was a dragon age topic which no-one had posted in for weeks, they said I should have searched for it.

Bumped old threads don't get closed if the discussion is added to.

If its really old most people respond saying its old and its quickly closed, the forum search function is dreadful to boot. I think people should give a quick scan of the front page and if they dont see a thread thats similar they can make a new one.
