Are Paige and Samantha in a relationship?

  • I thought, before she told us about the mother, that she was the mother. I still don't know.. Is she related?

  • So what if they were ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Joking of course, incest is not okay.

Omg I thought they were sisters because I didn't care enough

  • I don't really see any signs. Paige could just be an older sister figure.

  • Here's more evidence to this theory,

Look at Sam's face when Zachary and Jonas embrace. She looks guilty she tried to kill him and after they walk off together she says 'I'm glad you stopped me'.

Maybe when she sees that Zachary also has a same sex relationship she feels guilty and realises they aren't that different?

  • Doesn't even need to mean that she relates to them just because it's a same sex relationship, she could just feel guilty because she also knows what it is to be in a relationship in the ZA. But yeah that is a pretty good point.

  • I didn't really get that impression. Paige seems like she's in her twenties while Sam is a teenager. I thought it was more likely that Paige fucked John.

  • It was stated above that Sam is 22, Paige looks about the same age.

  • I didn't see that. I definitely did not think Sam was out of her teens.

  • I don't think so, if they would have been in a relationship Paige should have reacted different when she sees Sam being carried by Michonne

  • Sorry, that's what I meant. Not just that it was a same sex relationship but just a relationship in general. It just so happened that her and Zachary were both in a same sex relationship.

  • I don't know, Paige seemed heartbroken and angry when see saw Sam, especially when she says 'DID YOU KILL HER?'

  • I got that impression of a relationship. She seemed to really care for her.

  • Haha it's okay I got it love, no need for sorries.

Just two more details on their relationship (whatever it is):

    • Paige will say that she worries everytime Sam goes out. (First conversation with Paige after the hallucination).
    • In Sam's room if you stay silent Paige will whisper "You're gonna be ok" to Sam.
  • Dont give the shippers any ideas...

  • Well, I just saw the finale, and got some more clues of them being in a relationship...

  • Really? I was left more confused who she was supposed to be. She kept wanting to leave and saying she doesnt belong there, I wanted to ask her how and why she was with this family.

Also I never saw any romantic affection for sam, she wasnt even that friendly towards her really, she only stays because of the kids.

  • While, I'm all for them being in a relationship, the finale made me think that she was just Sam's friend and nothing more.

I never saw any romantic/sexual affection between the two. It all felt platonic.

  • I feel like if you want to believe they are in a relationship, they are. (I was convinced in Episode 2, less so in 3 but it didn't dis-confirm the theory so until proven otherwise I'll think they are).

If you don't want to, then they aren't.

    Headcanon is the best canon.

Episode 3 showed it as much more platonic (paige had her own room) I think but...like...why the fuck could we not just ask paige 'who are you and why are you here'? C'mon now!

  • First I thought babysitter, then girlfriend, then runaway now idk.

I really hoped for that option too.

  • Right? There was even the perfect opportunity when Paige and Michonne spoke during John's funeral, and she talks about feeling like an outcast..

  • That's exactly when I though they'd reveal it too but she just keeps speaking extremely vaguely.

  • Are paige and sam lesbians

  • Paige hinting that Sam's what she cares about the most; Paige suggesting that Sam prevented her from commiting suicide; Paige gets worried when Sam leaves the house; Paige reaching for Sam's hand to comfort her; Paige determinantly deciding to stay because of Sam; Paige saying that Sam knows she would look after James and Alex; Samantha being angered at Paige for restraining her and Paige looking upset because of it.

@Flog61 Have you both noticed that every single clue about the possible relationship has emerged from Paige, and that those have never been revealed in Sam's presence and consciousness? Think about it. I can't remember a single time when Samantha ever cared for Paige on-screen.

I believe this suggests that they were friends indeed, but that Paige had a crush on Sam, and the latter wasn't lesbian, so Paige was recurrently upset at this, which would explain why Paige has thought about leaving the Fairbank's house multiple times and why Sam knows this. What do you think?

  • That;s an interesting point! But still wouldn't answer why on earth Paige is there..

  • Maybe Paige really was a close friend who spent most of her time with Sam and her family. She determinantly reveals that she doesn't even know the fate of her parents, and that kind of makes me think that she was at the Fairbanks' house when the apocalypse started.

  • Are Paige and sam partners like Zachary and jonas

  • Clem is Jane's "partner."

They've kept it extremely vague, but there is enough evidence to suppose that Paige had romantic feelings for Samantha of some sort. Sam has never shown that she cares for Paige, so it is unlikely that she loves her back, at least in my eyes.

  • I hope we see Paige in season three, I feel like there's a tiny chance we may.

  • Nah, not really. I was just messing with everyone.

  • I believe that they are just close friends. Usually with same sex couples, TT makes it clear that they are lovers so they wouldn't be confused as just being friends.

  • I think it's more like Sam got a ass whooping by Paige when they were younger.

My parents had me, but they never seemed to want me around. Sam though, she… she always did. God, I hated her guts when I first met her. She
