  • Definitely shoot. Sam shoots zombie Randall, so she gets her revenge. Win-win :D

Idk, I'm usually very confident in my choices but I think it was just too late at night and I was kind of out of it. I'm going to replay that scene in just a moment though, not sure if I want to shoot or trade.

  • Does Sam not shoot him if we trade?

If you do the trade and Randall is alive, he attacks Michonne after Norma cuts his ties, and you have to do the press Q minigame, and Michonne shoots him up the chin.

If you do the trade and Randall is a walker, Norma shoots him.

Does Sam not shoot him if we trade?

  • Gotcha. I guess I'll shoot him since Sam shot walker Randall on my first playthrough. I'm going to go play it now, I hope it feels more natural than my first run

  • Intense episode but also felt shorter than the last two. Took about an hour to complete. I´m glad of the choices I made.

  • Yeah the missing face guy was in my play through, so funny. Its the guy with the beard who shoots at michonne with the shotgun

It's obviously a feature He's part of the new hard difficulty they added to the game Also, on a super depressing note, that means the last TWD episode you liked was over 2 years ago.

    Thought the episode was decent.

    Positives

    • The trade was tense and the aftermath awesome
    • The hub was cool too as was all the conversations
    • Normas death was awesome
    • Choice mattered enough for me, id prefer more in a finale though, especially as you dont even interact with any of the characters after that

    Negatives

    • Randall was wasted
    • Michonnes daughters and her hallucinations somehow got even more annoying
    • Other characters were just sort of there, Zac and Paige particularly.
    • I still wasnt all that invested in most of the characters

On another note, the length of the episode was fine however the whole series should have been one long episode or two normal sized episodes. Charging for 3 full priced episodes is a rip off

  • Greg died protecting Sam

Whoa, that episode was intense. I loved it though. Even though Norma's death is terrible gruesome if you leave her. I felt kinda bad. Didn't

  • edited April 2016

Shit was intense af! RIP my man Berto, one of the few characters I actually liked...

  • I forgot about them after episode 1....

    Soooooo.....Rashid and Vanessa????

  • Alright, so this final episode was the one that won me over and made the whole mini-series worth while. It was definitely the best episode in my opinion. I killed Zachery and Randel in my previous two episodes and while part of me knew that there are something that I couldn't prevent, that didn't stop me from feeling tensed during the whole trade scene and how I regretted killing Randal because I put everyone at risk.

The daughter scenes finally made me feel a lot of sadness and emotions. I could feel that I wanted to stay with Michonne's daughters. But I knew that Michonne have to move on no matter what.

I'm glad that only one got killed of my group and Sam managed to survive in my playthough. Overall, a good mini-series and I definitely love the better graphics in this one.

  • Just seems like a really unnecessary and unresolved side plot

    Deltino posted: »

Probably dead or gone. You find that picture of their kids in episode 1, if you ask Norma about them she doesn't even know who you're talkin

Out of curiosity, what did you play it on? I'm wondering if this issue is tied to a specific system.

Yeah the missing face guy was in my play through, so funny. Its the guy with the beard who shoots at michonne with the shotgun

  • I liked it overall, but it's biggest flaw was that it was attempting to make us care about the lives of people who had around 2 minuets of screen time throughout all three episodes. When Berto got shot, my reaction was ''No, Berto!... Wait, which one was he again?". I only remembered Oak because they included a small flashback to go ''Oh yeah, you gotta care about this guy"

Also, the whole Michone hallucination things? Very... Very... annoying.

  • DeltinoDeltino Moderator

Honestly, yeah, it kind of is. But hey, at least it wasn't played up to be a super major plot line.

Just seems like a really unnecessary and unresolved side plot

  • Glad it's over.

  • 10/10 OAK SURVIVED

  • To be fair, the GOT final had a lot of other stuff going for it, like very different options depending on if you were Rodrik or Asher. Especially with that ending.

Gonna have to disagree with Randall being cartoonish. If anything, he's one of the better antagonists of the series, in my opinion.

I can agree with that. My post wasn't meant to rag on GoT or anything, I was just pointing out some rather interesting similarities.

I feel a bit disappointed actually. I mean, the series was good, it had good characters and story, but I found it way too short and sometimes rushed. I think that another episode as a conclusion would have been perfect.

I liked It, but not to pay 15 dollars for three hours and a half of content. That's too little. I wasn't expecting episodes of two hours of length, but I expected at least one hour and a half per episode.

  • Eh...I preferred Norma, who was a breath of fresh air in villainy/antagonism when compared to yet another violent and foul-mouthed brute, but to each of their own.

Oh don't get me wrong, I liked Norma a lot as well, but Randall just inches her out for me personally.

  • Guess one can't resist Randal's good looks, voice, and masculinity.

I really liked the caved-in-skull chic he had going on

  • Norma shoots walker Randall before he does any damage, and Oak body checks Norma and runs, surviving the episode.

Did Walker Randall managed to deliver any damage to someone before Norma killed him? And what happens to Oak in this scenario?

  • So I guess Berto wins most wasted character award. guy said like 7 words.

Also, for people who had Randal alive, how does he end up dying, does Sam kill him?

  • edited April 2016

Sam shoots him as he runs away if you have paige shoot or things go south (its identical to the scene where she shoots him as a zombie)

Or alternately you can trade him to norma at which point gabby or someone starts shooting and he charges at michonne to try and kill her, michonne kills him after a struggle and Norma yells for them to attack.

  • I think it was great except for 3 things.

    -It was very short
-The only one who died (Berto) was the member of the group who had less time to interact with Michonne
-At the end, Michonne just talks with Sam and Pete. Telltale should have gave her a talk with everyone (Oak, Paige, Siddiq, James and Alex)

  • I don't know what he really done apart from get really angry and say that him and his sister were gonna kill everyone. I suppose being tied up for around half the game didn't exactly help. Then when he does get released, it's him that singlehandedly messes things up for both groups with a pretty absurd plan (charge at Michonne unarmed the second he was released). Homer Simpson could have probably thought of something better. Randall was all talk unfortunately.

  • I'm disappointed that the daughter flashbacks ended up getting more focus over the present storyline. I was never particularly interested in that aspect of the game but I played along in the previous episodes, it was just annoying and in the way this time. I would have loved to talk to everyone who survived one last time before the episode ended, Oak especially.

I did enjoy the episode however, the hostage negotiation and its aftermath were my favorite scenes of the mini series, and it looks like some of the choices actually affect the outcome to an extent. Norma was a worthy antagonist and her defeat was simultaneously tragic and satisfying. Its unfortunate that she and her crew didn't make use of the multiple opportunities they had to cut their losses and fuck off, as I continuously suggested, and I resent them for making me kill them. I'm not sure why Zachary & Jonas were there when they were supposed to 'disappear'...

Good enough to briefly sate my hunger for season 3, but the episodes are preposterously short these days, and I wish they would stop going OUT OF THEIR WAY to kill determinants in subsequent episodes. They've shown they can do better than that with Pete in episode 2, and the Forrester brothers in GOT. I sincerely hope they put in the effort for season 3.

  • Who else had a Negan-ish feeling when you could do the trade with Randall being undead? It reminded me of the Holly scene from the comics. Also, I hoped to get some comic references or a glance at Alexandria at the end, but the only thing we got as far as I know was Pete telling Michonne to return with "her family".

  • I don't know about you guys but it definitely was longer than the last episode. But that was probably because of that huge hub that we had in this episode.

Really good episode overall. Kinda wish Randall died a more noteworthy, maybe gruesome death (I traded him and he charged me. And I guess michonne is stronger than him so he's dead)

Really curious to see what happens when Randall's dead.

Shit was intense but I still couldn't forget about the first two episodes, I hope Telltale reviews the complaints they received from this and makes Season 3 accordingly. I can't believe they passed up the chance at the end to have Michonne standing in that pose she was in when she came back in the comic. Seeing Rick in the last frame smiling at us as we came back to the group would've wrapped things up nicely too.

That reminded me of Negan instantly. I was hoping it would go like it did in the comics and a few of their group would be taken out but it was still pretty cool.

I really enjoyed the episode and honestly didn't want it to end! I loved that we got to explore the whole house and talk to everyone. I found the negotiation really intense and the fight was so crazy. When Zachary saved Michonne I was so happy but then I screamed when Norma shot him in the head. I'm really upset he died as I wanted him to survive, but I guess with him being determinant... I thought the Colette and Elodie situation was really sad but I didn't feel as attached to it as I was too invested with Sam, Alex and James.

I think for a series with only 3 episodes, the characters were developed really well and the choices, I felt anyway, actually did make an impact in the story. I think Telltale have done an amazing job and I have high hopes for The Walking Dead: Season 3.

  • The Episode was alright for me, It was very intense and a bit sad.

  • i give this 1 middle finger out of 10.

    seriously, though:

    4/10.

there are so many glitches and bugs, the music cuts off, and ONE OF NORMAS MEN DIDNT HAVE A FACE IT WAS JUST EYES AND EARS AND A MOUTH IT WAS SCARY LOL.

all in all, this series was mediocre at best, i enjoyed it but i'm am hugely let down.

no offense is intended, if you liked it, glad you are able to see something in it that i cannot.

I really liked episode 3. Glad we had chances to know a lot about James, Alex and Paige. The fight was so intense, my favourite moment was letting Norma die by walkers, best choice of the episode. The most annoying parts were the hallucinations, Colette and Elodie became so ANNOYING, they just don't leave Michonne alone, glad I "left" them in the house. I think this mini-series was worth it. I enjoyed and I'm now waiting for Season 3, I can't wait.
