Choose One : Rodrik Forrester Or Asher Forrester

Namaste, tell me who's more capable Lord? In my opinion Rodrik Forrester. Who do you choose? Choose wisely

  • Rodrik of course <3

I'm going to kill that man.

You know what they did to me at the Twins ? Shred my face. Put their swords through me. Tried to smash my skull open. But they couldn't kill me. And you're not the man to finish the job !

You're not the lord here, Gryff. And I'm tired of you pretending you are.

Confine the Whitehills to the cellars. No one gets in, or out.

Prepare the horses. We're going to war.

Asher is dead. Murdered. But mark my words, we will avenge him. Any man, woman or child bearing the name Whitehill, will pay the price for his death.

I WILL HAVE ORDER ! Or I will have heads. If we fight amongst ourselves, we're dead. If we mistrust each other, we're dead ! Either we band together, or Ironrath will be the last place any of us ever see.

The next pike's for you, Ludd ! I'll see to it myself.

You may be right, about all of it. But I'm still the last lord standing.

    THE NORTH REMEMBERS !

  • Rodrik. Obviously.

Even if you prefer Asher, you have to admit Rodrik is the most capable lord. After all, he's been raised for the role his entire life.

  • Ah, I love Asher SLIGHTLY more, but Rodrik. In my playthrough Rodrik never surrendered to the Whitehills and never sacrificed his family. That's what a lord is.

  • Rodrik all the way. He was built for leadership. Asher doesn't even want to be a lord.

  • They're both perfectly capable for the position and I personally prefer Asher, however Rodrik was trained for the position which makes him ready for it from day one. Still prefer Asher though.

  • Same.

  • Rodrik, even the people who saved Asher must admit that Rodrik was a more capable and raised for it since day one. Asher was never meant to be Lord, though he was better then Ethan, I'll give him that much.

  • Asher. He is the better fighter. His leg isnt crippled and I just love him more.

  • For the situation the Forrester's find themselves in it is Asher. There in nothing to be gained with either the Whitehills or Boltons by being diplomatic or better at managing a homestead. Hell if you chose to save Asher Gwyn even says that Ludd is afraid of him and wants to settle things quick. Asher is a wildcard that Ludd can't predict while he knows exactly what Rodrik is likely to do in any given situation.

Also even though we know it will never be resolved in the games since Ramsay is a Book and TV show character. At least Asher would go down to Ramsay swinging.

  • Gared said that Rodrik was the Forrester's greatest warrior, not Asher.

  • Better fighter doesn't automatically mean that you will be a great leader. Just saying. :)

  • Asher wasn't technically a member of the House at that point.

So just because Gared said that in episode 1 means that it is true for the whole game? Nah I don't think so.

Yes, Rodrik was raised for the role and depending on how you play him can be a really formidable lord. But you can't discount the amazing feats that Asher did in season 1 alone like fighting a dragon, defeating countless opponents in single combat, helping lay siege to a city in a historic takeover, forging a political alliance with the last Targaryen, and earning the loyalty of pit fighters.

Also just because Asher wasn't raised to be lord and didn't want to be lord before doesn't mean that he can't change like he did in my game. Asher honestly felt like the true lord in my game, not at first but definitely by episode 5. I understand that Rodrik has a lot of supporters and that is honestly justified but don't simply discount the Asher fans :)

  • What exactly happend to the forum? Asher was more popular and now only 2-3 people here choose him while the majority chooses Rodrik.

  • Surely you mean Redrock Formeister

    Roadrick Forrestar

  • Because it's discussing who the more capable lord is, not who they prefer as a character.

  • So much Rodrik favoritism though. Asher can be as capable as Rodrik. Just a diffrent kind of Lord. ;)

  • Definitely Rodrik is the more capable lord, but I like Asher more.

Rodrik was groomed for lordship, Asher....well he wasn't and his personality wouldn't be too good of a lord, his own mother called him quite a violent one. But he seems to have cooled down a lot, so I think Asher wouldn't be too bad of a lord.

  • Rodrikchuu!!, I choose you!!

In his own way. But ultimately, of course Rodrik wins this. Being a lord is his thing. Just like being a sellsword is Asher's.

  • Ashah Forrestah

  • He still carried the name and was able to inherit Ironrath. He was not stripped of his titles or claims so I'm pretty sure he would still have been considered a member of House Forrester.

  • Yeah but no one's would've had him in mind if their talking about the strongest of the House.

  • I love both of them but i chose Asher of course. He is better than rodrik.

  • Beskha escapes with Ryon during the fight in great hall after the poison/ambush
