For all you know Sam etc could pop up in later games with or without James depending on your choice in that game. Give him the gun - Alive, don't - dead.

  • That's something I liked about the ending, Michonne made a huge step toward recovery but didn't completely recover, as she is still having problems when she comes back in the comics.

  • Yeah but as someone said Sam is a determent death (depends on player choice) so it'd be difficult for telltale to show her ever again. I'd hope that Paige would replace her in season 3 with the two boys and as I said depending on showing him how to use the gun etc would result in one of them being there/not.

Maybe. What later games though? TWD S3?

  • I'm not gonna lie. I was a bit dissapointed by this one. The final hallucinations of Michonne leaving her daughters with her ex-husband and the final battle between Michonne's group and the Monroe survivors I would say were the highlights. But we had to sit through quite a bit of filler and the hallucination plot thread never really went anywhere. This is probably my least favorite episode. But with that said, despite what the critics are saying, I thought this was a flawed but overall solid miniseries and I can't wait for Season 3.

Of course I know Michonne can't be in season 3 but I think all the other characters (Sam's group) could be featured in season 3 otherwise what would be the point of the Michonne game? What do you think about it?

The main point of the Michonne game was to tell Michonne's story of what she did during the time she was away during the comics. I guess it's possible for some characters to appear in season 3 like they did with 400 days but the main focus was for Michonne's story.

I really hope they make the effort for that in season 3, its the main thing limiting them now (along with their engine). The game looks good, acting is good, the choices are good (there just isnt pay off from them)

  • Just done playing it and it's amazing ~ telltale always good at making games !! And I'm just wondering is what would happened if michonne choose to stay with her children instead of running away with Sam lol ?

  • Yeah that's true. I heard Robert Kirkman said you DEFINITELY want to play Michonne before TWD S3, and there's going to be a 2 year time-skip in TWD. Also getting closer to the comics. So Michonne might play a part, but I'm not sure.

And it wasn't just for that one shot: every scene that guy was in over the entire finale was like that. Scarier than the walkers.

EDIT: Seems I'm not the only one. Hooray for the Xbone!

  • Got it as well. Holy crap, it was hilarious and incredibly stupid. Broke the immersion, but good for a cheap laugh. I replayed that scene recently and his face properly loaded in. Funny enough it's very detailed.

It wasn't too bad, I just restarted the game and it worked fine for the rest of the episode, though it did kind of kill the mood. At first I was wondering who thought having black subtitle text in a dimly lit room was a good idea, but then I quickly realized what had happened.

  • That would be hard to do considering they would have to insert Clementine into the community's conflicts since Pete is at the Kingdom. It would be cool if they could pull it off, but the choices we would be making would have to be on a smaller scale as we can't change events in the comics.

Your version of the tradeoff is so much better. Our choices would actually have consequences, and those that allowed Zachary to die would have actually had a better outcome, highlighting how choices can have unexpected results. I would feel like shit if I got Paige killed because I saved Zachary, but that would make me yell at my TV something like "I shouldn't have saved him!" or "I shouldn't have done that!", something I haven't found myself saying often in a Telltale game. Your version wouldn't even make any ramifications either, the rest of the episode could play out just as Telltale had intended with only a few changes.

  • Oh boy. To be completely honest, I was a bit disappointed by the finale. The whole Randall charging at Michonne scene was so stupid and Zachary randomly dying... Way to make our choices meaningless Telltale. The hallucinations were getting really annoying, I think they overdid it this episode. And that last choice, just what. Why the hell would you as the player decided to stay with hallucination kids?

I really enjoyed the big hub we got, I hope Telltale will bring more of these in the future titles. Surprisingly, the length didn't really bother me. But maybe next time if you plan on releasing such short episodes, Telltale, just drop the price a bit.

Overall I'd give the episode 6/10.

Just finished the episode after finally tearing myself away from Alien: Isolation (<-- been addicted to that since I got it, so.. like two days I guess?...)

Anyway, it turned out to be better than I thought. I was sort of disappointed in the beginning for some reason, maybe because it was just so calm most of the time. But then I got used to it and got extremely immersed in the story (as usual.) The amount of possible scenarios before the fire scene seems large while playing (even though it might not be many), but it was a good feeling nonetheless while playing. I love that feeling.

The ending was quite sad, I actually cried when Michonne was saying goodbye to her children... and then cried even more after I killed Sam by staying with the daughters for a bit longer. (Why! WHY SAM?!) I mean, I just wanted Michonne to get closure with her children. And then a nice song leading into the credits. Ahh, Telltale, I love your games. (If I was good at rating stuff, I think I'd give this a 9 or 9.5)
