Would it be unrealistic?
For Clem to be wearing the same hat in S3, I don't think it fits well with her head anymore. TT should get rid of it and give us the option to wear a new hat or not (though I still think she should keep as a relic of the past).

You can stretch a baseball cap to make it fit, y'know.
If she does not end up wearing it in Season 3 she may still keep it as a keepsake, it was after all the hat her father gave her,

Nah, not really. I think hats are pretty accommodating to head sizes.
It's pretty disgusting by this point. been exposed to rotting corpses, and blood....
Yes, but it's a complicated process!
But it reaches to a point where it's so tight fitting that it can cause you headaches.
Burn the thing with fire!
Its one of those old school trucker type hats isn't it? With the adjustable plastic tab at the back. Pretty sure those fit forever.
Her hat was firstly owned by her dad so she IS obviously going to wear it in S3 as well.
No. It isn't.
Wait, it was owned by her dad for her dad? I thought he bought it for her as a present?
If you remember the trailer from Season 2 Episode 5, Clementine's father was talking to Clementine, and he said "don't lose it, you're only borrowing it", or something like that.
Clementine's hat is as symbolic to the character as Carl's Hat. To me anyway.
So, why wouldn't they keep them.
I was about to say that :P
Clem actually stole the hat from his father. XD
?? Was the hat really given by her father? I remember reading that Clem stole it.
Good thing I was here first, then :P
Lee stole in back in episode 2 from that lady. (forgot her name)
But yeah, Clem's dad gave it to her. To quote season 1 episode 1:
When in the shop looking for a way out
Lee: Plus he knew how to make it look cool, like you with your hat.
Clem: My dad gave it to me.
Lee: See, dad's are smart like that.
Yea but I read that Clem lied about that too
In the trailer for "No Going Back," Clementine is speaking with her father on the phone and he says "I said you could borrow it, not have it," so Clem likely lied about it so that Lee wouldn't scold her because of it—which makes sense, in a kid's head.
Either way, it was her fathers! I'm happy she took the hat, it's a great part of her indentity.
I can't imagine her without it. I also think she taped the damn thing to her head so she can't lose it no matter what anymore.
hehehe
Yes it is, have you tried?
Yes. All you have to do is use the velcro on the back of the hat. It's not hard.
Not if it is a fitted cap since they are devoid of velcro, buckles or snaps etc.
Those kinds of baseball caps don't exist.
OK, they do. But that's not the kinda hat she wears.
So yeah, if it was her dad's that means it was too big for her. But all that hair made up for it. Since she cut it, it fits a little better. If she keeps her hair short, it'll still fit.
By getting rid of her hat it would be symbolic of her leaving the past behind, and focusing on the future.
She didn't lie. He did 'give' it to her.
The hat's an iconic look for Clem and an important part of her character. It'd be the worst if she stopped wearing it.
I wonder how she kept it after falling in water
Oh, I know that! I was only pointing out that the hat wasn't actually meant to be for her. Of course it's nice that she's kept it around for almost two and a half years. I mean, they fell on a river and were there for over an hour and the hat still didn't leave! That's what I call loyal.
Plot armour? Idk
and it says flexfit right on the band.
yeah if you borrow something from someone who then dies and becomes a zombie...I wouldn't advise you try to return it. so I'd say the dad gave it to her.
Oh cool didn't notice that!
