Hypothetically: What if it were Lee VS Jane?
Say for example Lee survived to Season 2. You're playing as Clementine, and just due to something that happens, Lee begins to behave a lot like Kenny did.
So say in EP5 that Lee and Jane got into a fight to the death. Who would you pick in that scenario?

Who would i side with? Ha! Simple! Lee.
If by the off-chance that Lee ends up behaving exactly like Kenny did in Season 2, right down to the part where he attempts to murder a team-member for something he had no proof that they did, then I still would have chosen Jane.
I'd be disappointed that Lee would end up like Kenny regardless of how I chose to behave in Season 1, though.
It took me a few seconds to decide to spare Kenny. If it was Lee? I wouldn't have even had to think about it. Jane would have just been stabbed by a one-armed man, and I'd be completely fine with it.
Definitely a fair comparison.
Lee of course.
Lmao great question. Lee always kept a pretty cool head, even when he was dying. If a baby under his guidance "died" under those circumstaces (with a capable grown ass adult and walkers barely moving) i'm sure even he would be angry and want an explanation. When he finds out the kid is still alive I can see him demanding Jane leaves or getting into some sort of fight. I think Lee would have still won even with one arm.
I don't think Jane would even pick a fight with Lee.
I doubt things would go the same way as it did with Kenny vs. Jane. As Clem is alive, Lee would have her as family to keep him from completely losing it if AJ was supposidly dead. But, since this is a hypothetical, I would choose Lee and Jane would yet again be dead. Sorry Jane : (
I'd pick lee, just as I picked kenny.
Yes, the behaviour is erratic. But they were always loyal. Jane, she came and went and you could never trust her, plus, she about AJ saying he was dead just to pick a fight with team member, she's a snake an a asshole and that's why I would choose lee.
I don't think he'd ever be that emotionally unstable. I'd still choose him over Jane
Hypothetically lets say Lee does exactly what Kenny does not just "behave a lot like Kenny did" I would shoot him except it would be sad.
Another thing to consider is how long they have known each other. Jane has known Clementine for a few days and gets along with her fairly well, but Lee was Clementine's friend from back when it all started. She might not even think about shooting him.
Oh God that's hard.
The only reason I can't choose is because I just cannot imagine Lee acting exactly like Kenny in Season 2.
But if I REALLY have to choose, then I'd let Lee kill Jane, then leave him. I can't just kill him, he's too important to Clem, but I wouldn't let him near her with this kind of behaviour, either. The very least Clementine owns him is to keep him alive.
Good thread, though.
Then everyone would suck Lee's dick.
It's much better with Kenny instead of Lee.
Dammit, I was gonna say that!
The problem is Jane sucks, so I would never pick her.
If Lee acted exactly like Kenny then I would pick Jane again.
Lee wouldn't act like that though and probably end up thinking it was smart for Jane to test to see if he was safe to be around. Hell, may end up even dating Jane lol.
I doubt that Lee would think that it would be smart for someone to let him and Clementine think a kid he cared about was dead and I imagine he would be pretty angry about the situation. I'm not sure what his relationship would be like though. Jane's philosophy was that groups always fall apart and that her and Clementine were better off away from the group. I think eventually it's possible that her and Lee would clash, especially if Lee wanted to stay with the group.
Shit, Lee could flat out murder someone in their sleep for snoring and we'd still be cool. He's earned his place. Who the fuck is Jane?
But seriously, I have history with Lee. Even if he does have a darkside, I know enough about him to know that it will never be directed towards me. Besides, the only thing that would push Lee to Kenny's level of crazy is if something happened to Clementine herself, @ which point we're all cheering him on to fuck up who ever is responsible.
Me neither!
Jane, once again, will be a dead woman. Although I'd doubt Lee would react like Kenny in the situation, but he'd certainty be pissed that Jane put a baby's life in danger simply so she could prove a point. And if the need arose, my Lee would definitely kill her and to be honest, I'd have no regret. She was an awful person.
I disagree! …but I like the gif you posted!
Dilemmas like this are the real issue.
True
I would most definitely pick Lee over Jane. 1. Because I just could not see Lee becoming like Kenny, he is too level headed and rational and not emotionally unstable. 2. Clementine knew Lee longer then Jane, she knew Lee for months/weeks but Jane she only knew for a few days. And I also believe Lee cared more about her then Jane did, Lee was concerned for the safety of Clementine and others, while Jane seemed more worried about herself and her needs, basically she was selfish.
Lee all day.
If Lee ended up acting like Kenny... consistently shouting at individuals who agree or disagree with his perspective, force himself to be the leader of the group and ignore their opinions, unnecessarily waste time beating someone to death with a crowbar, blaming Clementine for the death of his new love interest, beating a defenseless individual when it would've been easier to just let them go, ruining good moments, starting arguments and then acting out of anger based on assumptions, then I would still pick Jane. Even if it was Lee in Kenny's shoes and although Jane still deserves blame for the final fight, overall, I would still pick Jane, as she'd still have done the most good for the group whilst Lee would've pertained an attitude I disliked and the whole group showed dislike or worry towards.
But seeing as Lee has a determinant personality, he would've probably come up with better ways to deal with this that wouldn't have led to the events of Season Two.
You sure? He went to prison for losing his temper initially
I'd still pick Jane.

What if were between Luke and Jane?
I'd still go with Jane. The issue isn't the character. It's the behaviour. Someone who is reckless, irrational, unable to be reasoned with, quick to anger, and dismisses others' opinions out of hand is someone who can't be relied upon and is a liability. I liked Kenny, and Jane's con about the baby left a sour taste in my mouth, but she was still the more stable of the two in my opinion.
lee
Lee, I like jane, but I don't value her all that much u.u
I'd choose Lee and feel like crap afterwards. I'm very attached to Lee's character and we have a history. Jane, like Lee, is a decent person. In the fictional world of the game, nothing is as clean-cut as it used to be. Good people will continue to do bad things. I actually did like Jane's character, but I couldn't bring myself to shoot Kenny and I couldn't bring myself to shoot Lee. I will admit that hearing Jane get stabbed made me feel sick and left a sour taste in my mouth, but I just couldn't. I actually could see Lee get caught in a situation like this if Clem was the "dead baby." I mean, Lee got caught in a struggle before and couldn't catch himself. It happened with the Senator, so it's not completely unlikely.
Lee.
Well, I can easily see Lee thinking it would be smart to know if he was truly dangerous. He would easily see that Jane is a survivor who even in the most fucked situations can keep sort of a level head. The only character to really make her become more open was Clem.
Fuck man...I wish we could have had a dynamic of Jane, Luke, and Clem. Why couldn't we get that option as a means going into S3? Then you can set them up running into Lily possibly. FUCK I WANT IT SO BAD BUT I KNOW ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
Everyone would pick Lee. Truthfully, Jane wasn't really well-developed as a character. She had nothing to do in Episode 3 and had her arc wrap up nicely by the end of Episode 4. I really wish she hadn't come back in Episode 5 and that Telltale would have developed the Luke vs. Kenny subplot that had been brewing all season.
Better question - what if it were Mother Teresa VS Jane?
so let's say to even things up, what if jane had taken the medical supplies from arvo despite you saying that you shouldn't. we all know (i think we do) that the shootout that should have killed the entire party was due to the missing medical supplies (arvo was planning on hiding it from his party when you caught him). it would fit with what was being said and your options to the situation (if you didn't take the supplies it would have been nice to have said so when accused) and it meant that jane though nice and helpful (to clem at least) had a selfish side that didn't listen to what clem wanted (kenny also tended to not listen to clem quite a few times).
