Why I think season 3 will take place in Wellington

edited June 2016 in The Walking Dead

First off, if you you choose the ending where Clementine is on her own, there's a likely chance she made it to Wellington after what we saw, despite the weather.

Now , if you choose to go with Jane, Jane says this:

"You know, maybe we should stay here a while."
(About Howes)

She said this implying (obviously) that they weren't going to stay in the first place, which means there is also a big chance they ended up leaving and going to Wellington.

If you go with Kenny, the lady at Wellington says:

"...look, if you're in the area, check back in a few months. We might be accepting people then."

She mentions coming back in a few months twice. There is a possibility that they did come back and they did stay (unless of course you chose to let Clem stay).

Now, my theory is talking about Clementine being at Wellington. Not necessarily Jane or Kenny with her. But what I'm saying is somehow Clem will end up there and that will be season 3. I listed the possibilities that might give a clue and I think it would make sense and the plot would be different considering it will be a community we will be interacting with rather than just a group.

  • I 100% agree. This has been my thought ever since Season 2 ended. Wellington is far too interesting to not explore.

  • i think it'd be a waste that no matter what, out of five endings, you still end up in Wellington.

    that's a crock of shit.

    not a bad theory, though.

  • I think that Season 3 plot will be a Wellington Community vs Howe's Community war. In the comic timeline Magna (I think it was Magna?) said that there aren't many small groups, so it's safe to asume that most of the people who are alive are living in a community.

That way we could still have a tailored experience that still follows one main plot and both locations can coexist.

  • Yeah that would actually be great!

  • That's true, but do you think Telltale would really have a specific gameplay based on each of our 5 choices? I think they'll take the easy way and combine them
