Hope the soundtrack for this game is as good.
Coming Soon - Community Hubs
As you guys may have noticed in the main post, we are soon going to try something new for each Season. Starting with BATMAN and Walking Dead: Season 3, we are planning to make a "Community Hub" thread where people can use the forums to meet/recruit other users for off-site fan groups on Steam, as well as organizing events such as online Multiplayer meet ups. Additionally, you can also use the thread to introduce yourself or share things like fan fiction.
In the past, people would make general chat threads for things like Character Appreciation, Character Shipping, or out-of-character Fan Fiction discussion. However, for newer titles starting with BATMAN and Walking Dead, we're strongly considering to ask people to instead take that general chat to Steam groups where users can self-moderate on Steam. You will still be allowed to discuss things like character shipping in other threads as long as it is relevant to the discussion at hand, but we're wanting to move away from having people create general chat threads dedicated solely to things like character shipping.
As I was alluding to above, you can use the Community Hub thread to organize things like a meet up in an online multiplayer game, and you can invite people with similar interests in things like character shipping, character appreciation, or other notable parts of the fandom that have a shared interest in something.
I'm hyped, but I'm still not sure if I should get this game immediately on release and pass on TWD or wait a little longer and buy both.
Waiting thread time! Hopefully less than 2 months till release.
Job frequently gave hints about it being "before School starts" so maybe it could be around Mid-August? Assuming that the Minecraft DLC Adventure Pass episodes are still going by monthly releases as well, I can't see Batman launching the same week as an episode of Minecraft. With Batman and Season 3 of Walking Dead eventually looking to run concurrently for a bit and monthly episode releases coming back, just imagine how cool it would be if Telltale aimed to have BATMAN and Walking Dead be separated by two or so weeks so that we could have a new Telltale episode to play every two or three weeks.
It be like the Wolf Among Us and Season 2, except no 4 month waits. Sounds neat!
In case you missed Job's hints, it does seem like Batman is also planning to have monthly releases, which also seems like it will be the case for other Telltale series such as Walking Dead Season 3.
I have planned to buy this game ever since it was first announced, but these past few days have really got me hyped. Can't wait!
WOOOHOOOO
The waiting thread we've all been waiting for!
Hm... Maybe It's will be:
"Batman" EP1 - End August
"Batman" EP 2 - End September
"TWD: Third Season" EP1 - Mid October
"Batman" EP 3 - End October
"TWD: Third Season" EP2 - Mid November
"Batman" EP 4 - End November
"TWD: Third Season" EP3 - Mid December
"Batman" EP 5 - End December
I dont want monthly release... I just want an awesome game, fuck the wait. I am worried about it.
Well, you can always wait until all the episodes are out and buy the game then. If they really get them all out during this year then it shouldn't be that bad.
edit: Oh, I completely misunderstood what you said :'D I thought the "fuck the wait" meant that you hate the waiting
Telltale did monthly episodes before Walking Dead: Season 1. The only reason they stopped doing monthly episodes around that time was to place a heavier emphasis on changing larger portions of the story/cinematography/context of choice making on the go, as opposed to older titles which did not make as heavy changes to the story/etc. It just means that they are working on more of the episodes in advance - it does not mean that they are rushing episodes or producing them in a shorter time. There is absolutely nothing to worry about.
Same here. I'm stoked that it's getting a season pass retail release (happy to spend a little bit more to add to the collection), and I'm hoping they announce the same thing for TWDS3
Lol...in india schools start june20
Who missed it? We all know ttg has shifted to monthly release
Lets agree to disagree a bit coz I dont think wd3 can have monthly releases. Ttg said '1 ep a month' that meant '1 game's 1 ep in 1 month' so wd3 may have bimonthly releases
We meet again..watin thread
Ooh, waiting thread, how I've missed you. It is finally time to let the waiting game officially begin!
No, they mean one episode each month for each series. Batman and Walking Dead could both have one episode release in the same month, and Walking Dead is also likely going to have monthly releases.
Well see..
Hahahahah no.
Huh, y'all make a lot of waiting threads for previous games?
We'll see what? They already did it with Michonne and Minecraft Episodes 1-4.
Not to mention, they've confirmed several times now that they are prioritizing quicker episode releases for newer series going onward.
We typically make waiting threads for current/upcoming series, having done so since Walking Dead Season 2, Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones, Minecraft: Story Mode, and Michonne.
Why's that?
I hope not considering how those two series tuned out
Michonne was good, but felt rushed. Can't say about Minecraft.

E3 says it's coming to Last-Gen. Now I can relax, finally.
E3 would never lie to me. Watch_Dogs
Every thing shown or said at E3 is accurate to the final release. Destiny
I don't think I've ever heard anything at EE-Expo that wasn't true. Every Assassin's Creed ever
Jokes aside, y'all may not consider that site to be credible. But I trust it, and it puts my mind at ease.
I only remember trusting it because, not only is it official, but in 2013... They listed that Rockstar was gonna show some GTA 5 stuff for Sony. Everyone laughed at em and said that it was probably some prank by an intern, because Rockstar hadn't been to E3 in over a decade. And then GTA 5 showed up at the Sony conference with new images and a PS4 bundle.
So yeah, I kinda trust E3Insider.
Again, I'm not calling it a credible source, it's just putting my mind at ease.
Plus, so what if it doesn't come out on Last-Gen... What am I gonna do, huh? Nothing, that's what.
Why would E-Cubed lie to anyone?
Why are you so obsessed with that? Chances are it's coming to last gen, and if you really can't put your mind at ease, then you can try to contact Telltale to confirm it to you.
It's cool, man.
Now I can rave about Condiment King and... Clementine having her periods.
Don't even ask me, my man. There's a thread in the Walking Dead section.
That would be great! At least people wouldn't complain as much about episodes taking too long to release xD
Yasssss!!!
I think they both turned out great.
Well... if I recall, didn't The Walking Dead: Michonne Episode 2 and Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 5 release during the same month(March)?
I'm very excited for new games we only have Minecraft: Story Mode's Adventure Pass DLC currently ongoing, I wonder if Episodes 7 and 8 will released in July and August?
Hopefully it's a monthly episodes release, Better than waiting 2 or 3 months.
Episodes often can get released during the same month, but those two episodes released on the same day which was a first for Telltale.
When should we expect to see a proper trailer? I am kind of surprised TWD S3 comes out after Batman, but debuted a trailer first.
