What are your expectations/predictions in Teltale's TWD Season 3?

People say Lee's going to return, for those who didn't kill him in season 1.

  • That's stupid. He got bit. He's dead.

  • People need to get over it. Lee is gone, there is no way he can return. In response however, I hope we can see the return of Lily or Christa.

It's been 4 fucking years and people still didn't get over Lee's death? He is dead, ENOUGH SAID!!!

  • LEE EVERETT IS DEAD. OR UNDEAD. STOP PLEASE.

They are gonna focus on Javier's old friends, I doubt anyone we have known will return.

Lmao yall having a stroke over the people who still think Lee is alive are just taking the bait. If it pissed you off just flag and don't comment. Simple as that, don't give them the attention. Seeing people still having titty attacks over this is so funny to me.

  • You just wrote nothing. :P

  • Who doesn't agree with that?

       I agree

  • Expectations.... no more plot device characters.. :/

  • Alright guys, while I do think Lee is dead, this thread isn't a "Lee is alive confirmed" one. It's about Season 3 predictions/expectations. So yeah, let's keep that in mind.

I want to see Clem have a Psychotic Break, its a bit over due at this point. Every long term Walking Dead character goes through one and while I hope she doesn't go full on Crazy Rick, anyone who goes through all the stuff Clem has been through has to have an episode at some point.

Itll be fun to play at first and then we can switch to Javi to help pull her through it.

It would be real fun to let the player decide the terms of her Breakdown. Maybe she finds a walkie talkie and has a converstation with Lee and her parents like Rick and his Phone. Or she has a conversation with a Giant Juice Box which has the voice of Lee.

  • Very interesting post. I hope I can make such top quality posts one day.

  • But guys!!! I've got an idea on how Lee might have survived!11!

He got lucky, real lucky. A prosthetic arm, maybe an eyepatch, good as new.

I predict that Clementine's survival abilities will be slightly enhanced during the course of Season 3 if she stayed at Howe's with Jane. She might be family-oriented if Randy, Gill and Patricia were let in, whereas she will be less trusting over people, including Javier, if she rejected them.

I also have a feeling that Clementine will have slightly less time to decide and pick dialogue options if she stuck with Kenny, since we know that he is quick to make up his mind, and this would be something she learned from him.

  • My expectations are a Clementine with all her fingers intact. :))))

  • maggie and Glenn were the only characters who didn't go mad in the comics

  • clementines gonna die ( if this is the last season)

  • My prediction: Everyone but Clementine dies

  • Oh, another expectation—in some way or another, the last choice of the entire season will determine whether Javier or Clementine dies amidst a chaotic scene.

  • Clem discovers a time machine and travels back in time before the apocalypse and falls in love with a man she learns is named Omid. She is powerless to do anything as she learns that the Christa she knew as a child was really her from the future.

Or. "My name is Clementine. I got hit by a boat and woke up in 1973. Am I mad? In a Coma?."

I can't find the post as I am on mobile and too lazy to search for it, but shorty after Season 1, Jake Rodkin directly confirmed Lee was dead. Not that it wasn't already obvious, but there you go. Lee is dead.

Back on topic, I'm not expecting them to do a Javier vs Clem choice as most people would probably choose Clem because of Season 1/2 Nostalgia.

Clem will survive the season. Depending on sales and popularity, there might even be a 4th season.

Ultimately I see Clem as a leader running a community of survivors doing it right because she learned how not to do it from Lilly and Carver.

I don't see Kenny or Jane coming back. If they do, it won't be for many lines. Voice actors are paid well for each line. The story line is linear, so lines would have to be recorded for both Jane and Kenny.

  • I am too lazy to rewrite the entire thing, but I provided some sort of example in another thread of a way that a Clementine or Javier choice would work.

It would not work just by saying it, yes. But I believe that the context and situation can be conditioned in a way that it prompts people to think the decision rather than instantly saving Clementine. I will explain it shortly below, hopefully in a way that isn't too confusing.

Let's say Clementine, Javier, and other characters are trapped in an overrun building together with some of the antagonists. We play as Clementine as she hacks down walkers left and right, while also avoiding any possible encounter with an antagonist. At some point, she looks aside, and Javier is being pinned down by a large walker, and have them be a reanimated antagonist for dramatic purposes. Now we see everything in slow motion. Clementine looks behind her, and one of the major antagonists is about to go off with an assault rifle, with a walker soon to take a chomp out of their shoulder. Looking aside again, a second walker is heading for Javier, so he doesn't have much time before he is devoured.

    [RUN AWAY] [HELP JAVIER]

Clementine can either head for Javier and kill the two walkers, but she will be gunned to death with an assault rifle, and the antagonist will be devoured. Or she can make a break for the outside of the building, and will make it in time before being shot, but Javier, and the antagonist, will be devoured.

This is all over the place. Sorry!

  • Since I see Telltale wanting to branch off from Clem's story and take a different route, I can see her dying. If there were a season 4, I could see Javier being the protagonist.

  • That'd be awesome, especially the final part about having slightly less time for decisions and dialogue options with Kenny. Though I have a feeling Clementine would be more adapted to gunplay (that is she could perhaps get used to different types of guns like shotguns perhaps) if she was also with Kenny, and maybe even better at scavenging if she stayed with him.

  • I see Clementine surviving the entire series, simply because this is her story.
Yes telltale might have introduced a second protagonist, but that's only to shake things up and stop the whingers who didn't like playing as Clementine before. Even though, everyone on here was foaming at the mouth excited when it was announced.
The only thing I hope, is that we get proper explanations of what happened at the end of series two. Regardless of your particular ending, we need to know what effect those decisions had. Not just a bloody time skip and a game of guess who, what why and where.

  • People were excited when it was announced that we'd be playing as Clementine because she was a beloved character from the first Season. And many people hated playing as Clementine because she was not treated like a little girl by her surroundings, but as if she was an adult. It made no sense how almost every adult in the Season trusted Clementine to make rough decisions and generally treated her as if she was an adult herself.

Well in the Game of Thrones game there is a similar situation and they recorded both actors for the entire season*. But you are not wrong, that way its more expensive, but I think Telltale can afford it.

*Spoiler: Iam talking about the sentinel decision. Because of that they had to record both versions of these characters.

  • I can already see them getting us attached to the new character and him having an awesome personality but they end up killing him in the end... And we all cry and end up drowning ourselves and then Telltale collect our tears in jars and add them to the collection. I may have gone a bit too far.

  • 0 fucks given to that new character on the screenshot, seriously.

The blandness of the characters introduced on each season is so abysmal that at this point I rather have Clem alone and be done with it, no need to give another cast of people to not care, which was a problem for me on season 2 as beside Kenny and Clem nobody was interesting to me and felt nothing as they all went down.

  • You know nothing about him other than that he is a Cuban named Javier and that he is the other playable character.

  • TTG Season 3..... I am very causiously optimistic. I mean Michonne was hit and miss for me. But they do seem to get better with every game released. I don't know what I expect. But if they can give us closure to previous plot threads while advanceing the series forward in a logical way, I will be ok with that. (Perhaps not happy but not ticked off)

  • Minimum 2 hour episodes with maximum 2 month wait time between episodes. And I expect Clem to finally loose that hat. Especially if she falls underwater again somehow.
