When TWDG ends, should AMC do a TV version?
Personally, I believe they should. I've always thought about a TV version of Clementine's story and how awesome it'd be. Think about it, a TV show can allow writers to play out what happened in the timeskips such as the 16 month one that took place in S2, and maybe the two/three year timeskip within S3. It would allow a lot of depth to Clementine's character, as well as her story imo.

No because AMC will ruin it.
How so? Sorry if I sound ignorant, I don't really know anything about AMC and how they can tarnish things like these haha.
I don't really watch the show that much anymore, but I'd enjoy something like that. It'd be kind of cool to see an adaptation or whatever.
Nope. Tv show and the game did not have nothing in common.
The game is based on a comic book and the tv series is the "other" universe. There can't be Clementine
I meant a show solely for Clementine's story where the show will be based on the video game - similar to how FTWD is separate to TWD Tv show.
Nah. do not think that the AMC will make a show.
Too difficult, you need to find actress, but that the most important need VOICE Clementine's, except Melissa nobody will cope with this. But she can not play Clem because she.. you know.. A woman whose 40 years old.
I want that to happen so bad man, so bad.
If they were to make a show I doubt they'd go through the hassle of having a child actress lip syncing Melissa's voice so it would have to be completely natural
You and I both then! ^^
That sounds like it'd be pretty awesome honestly, but it also sounds like a difficult task to take on considering the game is choice-based. And while the choices really don't matter in Season 2, there are still different situations for each choice, so they'd either have to rewrite the story or choose which of those choices in each section to use.
Clementine's story should continue in the comics (even as a major character, and MAAAAAAAYBE her fanbase would make Kirkman turn her into the protagonist, but that's 99,999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% impossible), but NOT in the TV Show.
I don't think you understand my post. Clementine will be completely separate from Rick and everyone else as she'd have a completely DIFFERENT standalone show, just like FTWD.
THEN WHY A TV SHOW IN WICH WE CAN'T DO NOTHING BUT WATCH AND NOT ANOTHER GAME SEASON?
TV Shows are horrible. Not because they're bad, but I like to be in the story, be the protagonist. We can't make Rick be the way we want him to be, but we can make Clem be the way we want her to be.
A TV adaptation? Sure.
By AMC? Fuck to the no.
How many good TV adaptations of video games are there?
I would like AMC to adapt TWD:Michonne into the original show. Now that'd be awesome.
It'd be difficult, since the Michonne in the comics/game has a different backstory than what was already established in the show. Example: her two daughters in the game/comics vs. her son in the show.
They are very much all about the budget and don't care a wit about the integrity of the show or producing a season full of episodes of consistent quality and a decent pace, usually because they only allow for a set amount of money to be used within a season, leading to episodes where the writers have no choice but to slow the pace down to a snail's crawl through bottle episodes where not all of the characters can be on-screen since they don't want to pay everyone for the episode. Now mind you, a lot of this can fall on the writers too. Slow episodes do not necessarily have to equal bad writing, and they have certainly succeeded at making great slower paced episodes. But more often than not, they have a lot of issues and it's very clear that AMC's orders of 16 episodes per season within the budgetary constraints they have set is asking the writers to stretch the storyline a bit too much, so the blame goes two ways. Plus, regardless of opinion on the writing, budgetary constraints objectively lead to issues like supposedly highly populated areas looking half-deserted, or entire episodes taking place in one building. Things like these are minor, but can take you out of the moment.
Now all this could probably be excused as just the issues that crop up when making a TV show, if Walking Dead wasn't the TV giant that it is. So it's hard to believe it's not making enough money for AMC to shell out a bit more to get even more story done within a season. But it seems they're devoted to wringing every last penny they can out of the show at this point with no signs of change. There's also just the fact that they're a pretty shitty company who've done some sleazy things, as recent events with the Spoiling Dead forum and their treatment of Frank Darabont can attest to.
Now all that said, I'm a goddamn Walking Dead fanboy, so I still enjoy the show despite my views of their company and I'd be fucking there if they did end up doing a show-version of the game's events. But I'd also approach it with some caution, knowing what I know of AMC.
Just watch the walking dead show.
If its done by AMC, then no. They nerf the shit out of everything. (Kinda have to because it's national T.V., but still) It wouldn't go well on that channel.
AMC would probably find a way to somehow ship Clementine and Duck lmao no
I do not think so, it would be too confusing and messy once Clem's story ties up with the comics and not with the TV Show.
I totally forgot that television shows' characters are physically portrayed by real people.
I'd rather they find a way to fit the game characters into the show during a filler season, like after Negan.
a Michael bay movie would be nice
I know the game is canon to the comics and not the show, but the show is based on said comics as well even if the events don't unfold the same way, so I "think" there must exist a Clem in the show universe as well somewhere. Not saying they should do this, of course, just saying. Besides there'd be no actors capable of doing Lee, Clem and Kenny justice.
And seeing how Carl is much older, they'd probably have Clem be like 14 in Season 1 and 18 in Season 3, and create some kind of "Enid" for Clem. Or maybe worse, they'd ship her with Javier. Shivers
if amc do a tv version of telltale Twd they will ruined it
nonoonoononnononon NO JUST NO!
They would have to change the entire story or at least change certain choices for example, siding with Kenny/Lilly choice, if the tv version went with one and not the other, then a lot of people would be pissed. I wouldn't mind seeing it though but they would need to be loyal to the game and not change it too much. Also i'd rather it not be AMC running it as i'm sick of their pathetic stance on swearing in the show.
You are right!
There is a version of every game and comic character in the television series and vise versa, assuming that they were born and didn't get devoured at the start of the outbreak.
why r people hating on amc? if u want to blame someone for ruining adaptation blame the creator of show not the network.
I think a live action version would be awesome, though I'm not sure if I'd want AMC to do it. Don't get me wrong, I love the tv series.
No thanks, I have no faith in AMC to allow someone to craft a good story from this material. They already have ftwd and that show is over kill enough, and I fear the day AMC decides to shoehorn her into the main show.
Not sure why everyone's hating on AMC. The Walking Dead is still a good show. I hated the cliffhanger as much as anybody but once Season 7 starts rolling, everything will be fine.
They are also the ones who gave us Breaking Bad. Better Call Saul is a pretty great show too. I mean come on guys, I wouldn't want it to be AMC either but for different reasons.
My number one choice would be HBO just because they could actually do an 18+ Walking Dead.
I'm saying no for 2 reasons;
And 2. Because the games take place in the comic universe while the show is its own universe, so TV casuals will be all frumpy and confused why characters or plots exclusive to the show aren't appearing and why comic exclusive characters/plots are and it'll be weird for the comics to exist in television but outside the other television show.
No, they shouldn't
Yes so they can end the first season with just another of their famous and smart cliffhangers that they do sooooooo well
I don't hate AMC like the other people here do but I would prefer her story stay in game. I don't really see any need to have another version of the same show.
Heck ya! Maybe they could have the games voice cast "guest appear" Millissa Hutchinson as:"Clem's 1st grade teacher!" The real issue would be finding the perfect child actress for Clem. That's a total landmine unto its self! Won't happen fun thought though!
