* He always goes chasing after the "Boat." Drives people on death marches to some kind of fantasy safe place that in the end often doesn't exist, or isn't worth chasing after in the end when you look at the cost it took to get their.
* His over protective nature often causes him to make insanely bad decisions. You can almost link the death of most of the entire cast in both seasons on bad decisions Kenny makes.

You're gonna have to go digging several threads back because frankly we're sick of having to explain why Kenny's such a piece of shit.
Edit: actually there are some good explanations in this thread!
If one looks deep enough, there's are plenty of reasons why each character can be considered 'a piece of shit'. Which in my opinion is a good thing because it makes characters complex rather than one-sided.
No one should be expected to react differently but there's a line between a stable and a dangerous reaction - in the apocalypse, an individual's reaction towards loss can cause others to suffer greatly in the process. I'm not saying that people should be blamed for their uncontrolled reactions but if someone can't control their actions, they can become a liability and endanger others - I believe this is something that can happen to any character regardless of how hardened they are.
That's the thing Daze. It's fine to disike a character but good god it's just all 100% negativity, some people just never have a good thing to say because they can't let go of the hate for bad things he's done, even though it is in an apocalypse and crazy shit happens, people make mistakes etc. A-IBRAHIM0702 is entitled to his/her opinion but like with most of the people that hate him, they choose to ignore all the good things he's done and don't always think of the reasons as to why he sometimes behaves like an asshole. There's always a reason and it's not because he's an evil person. I really hope these people that are so negative actually lead positive lives in real life and can forgive people for bad things that happen, I really hope they do.
Oops, apologies, I screwed up - I meant to write 'No one should be expected to react similarly' that's on me.
In other news, I don't recall Jane fans generally chastising Kenny for his actions specifically due to him losing his family. I perfectly understand that Kenny doesn't act that way just because he lost his family, it would be silly to judge his actions on the basis of a single out of multiple variables but that doesn't rebuke the fact that losing his family is a, if not the, strongest driving force behind his emotional state which lead to his future actions.
Because you brought up varying reactions - I brought up the dangers of Kenny's reactions specifically. If you choose to argue over Kenny being a liability or not despite even deducing that it's a fact, that's up to you.
There used to be a lot more but they've all gone now. To be fair, there are only maybe half a dozen people i know here (Kenny fans and non Kenny fans) who are mature enough not to act like children when discussing certain characters they like/dislike. I admit that i have acted angry at times after seeing a negative post about one of my favourite characters but that's only natural because I disagree obviously. Generally these forums are the best place i've ever posted on to be honest
Thing is, Kenny don't learn from his mistakes. That is the biggest flaw of his character.
Yeah he fucked up in S1 but redeemed himself at the end. But in S2, he fucked up even worse than he did in S1 and didn't even bother to learn from his mistakes. Thats why his good deeds often get overlooked and cancelled out by his bad deeds.

This isn't a valid excuse that just because we didn't see someone losing his loved one, we constantly give him shit for his fuck-ups. But for someone we saw losing his loved one, we always cover his fuck-ups by using the excuse "he's lost sooooooo much". This isn't fair. Remember when Ben stood up to Kenny in S1E5 if you saved him. That explains it all.

Something to mention about you trying to make a point about all the characters that lost friends and family, one thing that Kenny's losses had that none of them do.
Know what that is? We actually witnessed Kenny lose his family, we never had that sense of loss for any of the other characters like Lee's family, Clem's family, Luke's mother and father, or Jane's sister. I wouldn't count Lilly's loss only because virtually no one liked Larry. Other family members of the characters i mentioned could have been people we may have liked but as i said, we did not ever get to witness their families dying unlike with Kenny. We can't forget that in the first or second day of the outbreak he threatened to punch Larry in the face, and he even went through it if incited by Lee.
Come on dude! If you had a loved one that was being threatened the way Larry was with Duck, you'd do the same thing to protect them and please don't say you wouldn't because that's bullshit i'm sorry. I'd do everything in my power to stop someone going near my loved ones if he or she wanted to do something to them.
Most of us realize that Kenny has gone downhill since the death of Katjaa and their son. It is easy to understand why he has lashed out at o… morethers. Deep down he might be insecure and compassionate toward those he cares about—that is very plausible.
However, this doesn't change the fact that he behaved like that in "A New Day" and "Long Road Ahead" too. We can't forget that in the first or second day of the outbreak he threatened to punch Larry in the face, and he even went through it if incited by Lee. His behavior has only been amplified by the death of his loved ones. Even if we didn't take this into account, we have to keep in mind that every single person has lost family members after or as the outbreak began.
No matter whether they witnessed it or not, or whether it has been mentioned, but every single person in The Walking Dead universe has lost a family member. This doesn't make Kenny special or justify his immoral actions.
What i am trying to say is, those that say "he lost sooooo much" are sympathising with him more than say Clem or Lee or Molly for example because they did not witness/had the chance to care for their loved ones dying where as with Kenny we did. You may not feel it's valid, but i do and i feel that is a big reason why a lot of people feel sorry for Kenny and what he lost. Yes everyone has lost someone, i have sympathy for everyone though. I just will not refer to any character in a 100% negative way

Sadly not everyone can, even when they try. It's just how it is. That does not make them an evil person for stupid mistakes they have made in the past though.
Yeah he fucked up in S1 but redeemed himself at the end. But in S2, he fucked up even worse than he did in S1 and didn't even bother to learn from his mistakes.
If someone is not in the right state of mind, they cannot always be expected to learn from their mistakes because they are unable to. Again, i am someone who will not focus "soley" on the negative aspect of a character. I look at the reasons behind the flaws rather than just saying it's a flaw.
Thing is, Kenny don't learn from his mistakes. That is the biggest flaw of his character.

Is this really relevant? I said generally and I specified that chastising due to him losing his family - which not all fans of Jane do, it's pretty evident that even those who dislike or are impartial towards Jane bring up Kenny's losses as a common similarity between him and other survivors.
We both know we aren't going to change our opinions, so what's the point?
It would be strange indeed to argue over something we agree with.

You can almost link the death of most of the entire cast in both seasons on bad decisions Kenny makes.
I don't see how you can blame all this on Kenny when:
-Ben is the one who got Carley, Katjaa and Duck killed
-Lilly, Carley/Doug, Larry, Katjaa etc. are the ones who agreed to go to the St. Johns as well which got Mark and Larry killed.
-Clementine is the one who made a dumb decision to go with the stranger which got Ben (If saved) and Lee killed. She wanted to go in Savannah to find her parents. It's not like Kenny is the only one who planned to go there.
-The cabin group is the one made a dumb decision to leave Carver's community. They are the ones who put Kenny's group in trouble and they got Matthew and Walter killed. It's most likely Rebecca and Alvin's fault.

-Ben's idea actually worked, until someone discovered someone was giving the bandits supplies, it was no different than how the Mafia would extort people. Imagine how many of them would of likely been dead if Ben didn't start giving them goodies under the fence? Their little home made fort wouldn't hold out forever, heck that final attack showed how easily it was breached when caught off guard.
-St Johns Kenny almost got Lee killed if I recall.
-Clementine's dumb decision to talk to a stranger over the radio was due in part because Kenny and Katjaa decided to steal his supplies from his car, when it was obviously freshly abandoned only moments ago. Clem said not to, so it kind of comes full circle back to Kenny.
-If Kenny was in Carver's group would of he been one of those "Dumb" Cabin group that fled? Kenny doesn't like taking orders, so I would think so. So saying they're dumb, when Kenny would of taken the same route is kind of like saying Kenny is dumb. =P

No doubt in my mind the most useful thing Kenny contributes to the earth is his decomposing corpse acting as a very healthy and economically friendly alternative fertilizer for the cold ground to feed on.

What would do if you and your group are starved during the apocalypse and you find an abandoned car full of supplies? You choose to starve or survive? It's not Kenny's fault the car was abandoned with the lights on and with the key in the ignition. This is really pissing me off. You forgot that Stranger left the car unattended? It wasn't even locked. Clementine's parents are to blame because they didn't tell her about Stranger Danger.

I'm telling you again. It's not Kenny's fault Carver was coming for them. He was having a normal night until Cabin Group arrived.

People who liked this guys status, shame on you. Lovely people wanting a human being to suffer just because he's a "meanie" who has offended you people at times and made mistakes. Oh but he deserves to suffer. Nice one guys lol
None of you three should ever leave though—you are virtually the only ones balancing the discussion. How is a debate supposed to go if everybody is making points in favor of the same side?

Don't come at me, Dan! It is not in my character to threaten people nor to fight somebody, and I am not saying this as if I were superior because of it. It may very well be a disadvantage at times. But I know I wouldn't react like that.
Katjaa was cleaning Duck, and Larry was telling Kenny that Katjaa would find the kid's bite. I would help her clean him in order to end with this mess faster, and go on from there depending on whether my son was indeed bitten or not.

I've always supported this view!
Ben did good when making the deal with the bandits, as he convinced them to back off the Motor Inn group, in exchange for some of Lilly's supplies—why grieving, paranoid Lilly's, though. Ben probably told them that he had been sent in representation of this group.
The problem only came when Lilly told Lee to start searching, which led to the supplies being taken and the bandits thinking that the deal had been stopped. It is indirectly Lee's responsability, along with Lilly's and Ben's, though the reasons why the three did what they did are valid.
What Ben should've done in my opinion is to organize a group meeting and approach them telling them everything, and telling them what would happen if they suddenly stopped delivering supplies. Then, they could've discussed their odds, and either part to Savannah or continue the trade.

Morality doesn't have much place in the apocalypse. You either do or die, you'd have to be crazy to not take those supplies just because "it's the right thing to do". They were looking out for themselves, as you should in a situation like that. Clem was just too young and naive to understand.

If someone is not in the right state of mind, they cannot always be expected to learn from their mistakes because they are unable to. Again, i am someone who will not focus "soley" on the negative aspect of a character. I look at the reasons behind the flaws rather than just saying it's a flaw.
They wouldn't. That's the whole point of games, be someone you're not, do stuff you wouldn't do in real life.
Is this really relevant? I said generally and I specified that chastising due to him losing his family - which not all fans of Jane do, it's pretty evident that even those who dislike or are impartial towards Jane bring up Kenny's losses as a common similarity between him and other survivors.
It would be strange indeed to argue over something we agree with.
You explained well Dan thanks for this comment @dan290786
I understood the pun, it makes me think of Patrick.
K pal.
If you say soo
But dont think its possbil cause he will have a good day maybe some one come from a shitty day so mad so angry he need to blame some one
He grab the keyboard and startin the war so
Dont made any promesis
UN FUCING believable that we sew that he lost famliy and what that dosent change a fact that his not the only ashole suffer i see you dont even care about lilly you mentioned that she lost her dad but you didnt mention how her dad was mean to her
You kenny fans say that kenny is an asshole cause he lost so much
But in an other side you contradict yourselves when you talk about some one not kenny lets take larry you all hating he and a lot side to kill him because he is an asshole even when lilly said his acting like shit to her too he doing that to Protect his daughter and your only excuse to kill him its because to protect clem you give your selfish shit an excuses and the people in the group mean like nothing to you
You all give a shitty excuse that rick grimes like kenny WROOOOONG rick grames never been a danger on his own group a nlike the FUCING JACKASS ASSHOLE SHITBIRED ASSCOCK KENNY THAT HE destroyed every singel group he was in that he never did care for the group
Stop being nitpicky. Crazy or not, Kenny is human being. Enough said.
Exactly that is always in my mind.
Shit happens.
No doubt in my mind the most useful thing Kenny contributes to the earth is his decomposing corpse acting as a very healthy and economically friendly alternative fertilizer for the cold ground to feed on.
Thanks, Kenny's body!
What? That didn't happen in my playthrough
Flog, that is cold.
Edited section
I thought you referred to @AronDracula by a collection of pixels.
Are you talking about Kenny or @AronDracula, Dan?
Because I am completely lost.
None of you three should ever leave though—you are virtually the only ones balancing the discussion. How is a debate supposed to go if everybody is making points in favor of the same side?
I'm pretty sure they're talking about the "Kenny deserves to suffer" post. So Kenny.
(I know you didn't ask me but there are no notifications so...)
The thing is, I wouldn't.
That concludes the discussion then
Wow i laughed very hard at reading (or trying to read your post). You are obviously new to these boards. Something you need to learn is to respect others opinions. Maybe some anger management classes would help too. By the way your opinions on kenny fans are very wrong. All you are doing is making yourself look like an ass
Everyone'sClemInTime The most useful thing Kenny has done is make you hate him so much to the point you can't stop talking about him lol. You hate him but constantly talk about him like an obsession. Plus i know the things you say are to deliberately cause arguments. That's all you contribute to on here.
I'm so glad he made you and your gaming experience miserable, i really am. Here Here to a Telltale masterpiece, the man who will always divide opinion
I dont look like an ass i am an ass
