I'd imagine he would feel pretty shitty for starting this snowball rolling downhill. But the Stranger was a phycopath and had his sights set on Clementine after him losing all the food then his remaining family. The Stranger didn't have to do anything, but he did, so for shame on him. I'd imagine Kenny wouldn't completely blame himself.
Actually, his ties to Clementine just started as a convenient step to the road of avenging his family. It was only after Clementine began trusting him and telling him stories about everything she's been through that he started to feel bad for her and wanted to hurt Lee for constantly allowing her to be exposed to such dangerous situations. It's definitely a projection and reflection sort of thing: the Stranger was just an upstanding father lost track of his son trying to teach him something he thought he needed to know(and ironically, he may have been more right than he thinks) and his wife understandably blamed him and later got their daughter and herself killed because she also blamed him for what Kenny did; Lee, on the otherhand, was someone who committed murder because of his wife(for whatever reason it was, since he likely didn't know that Lee's wife was cheating on him) and got lucky enough to get away with it, came across a little girl that he decided to take with him, and proceeded to partake in lots of risky decisions with her unfortunately being constantly put at risk.
So, gradually losing his entire family because he made one bad call whereas Lee was constantly risking a little girl's life made things personal.
Also, I sincerely don't think Kenny would think one thing or the other: he did cause the guy to lose his family, which he can sympathize with after all, but he also tried to come after the whole group and potentially his family, when his beef was mostly with Kenny.
