I just assumed she was dead until I listened to that Dan White interview.
She died. There's mine.
Edit: she was cold but fair towards Clem during the jump. Her baby died, I'm assuming during labor.

Whether she made it out of the fray alive or not, I think it's fair to assume that she had a miscarriage or that the infant came out stillborn.
And I do think she made it out alive.
I believe that Christa is indeed alive. She had a chance of getting out of that mess. However, I just feel like we will never see her character again. Since Clementine was motivated to find her (probably gave up by now, though), that pretty much seals the deal for me. The more empty and hopeless this game makes you feel, the better. In-game happiness and fulfilled wishes are strictly prohibited.
It would be kind of neat if there were extremely subtle (and I mean extremely subtle) clues that hint towards Christa's fate. They could be a neat little nod to fans that have played the first two seasons, and if they weren't in your face, that whole "small world" vibe could be minimized. I don't know, maybe that's stupid. It still constitutes a large amount of right place, right time.
As for the baby, it probably had to be a miscarriage or a stillbirth. With Christa actually, you know, giving birth, and Clementine left as the mid-wife, I'd say it was pretty much screwed from the start. I don't see how they could have birthed it properly, even without any kind of complications. I'm also sure that Christa's health, and therefore the baby's health, was compromised due to apocalypse and all that. Welp, isn't this an uplifting response?
As I've said before Telltale hires a group of diggers to dig plot holes as a trap to catch interesting characters. The holes are dug so deep these characters are never permitted to see the light of their potential.
Honestly, for as much as I want to see her again, I doubt we will.
However, if she were to reappear, I'd be stoked.
As Clementine was running away from the scavengers and one gave chase, I heard a somebody pushing, Christa gasping, and a gunshot. This could be interpreted into anything since it happened off screen lol, but the context of the situation gives it away. Christa was murdered by the scavengers and we never heard from her again.
It would be cool if she came back, but I doubt it big time.
My theory is that she's dead.
I always believed she made it out alive. But I prefer if it stayed a mystery, even though I wouldn't mind if she returned somehow. As for her baby, most likely stillborn. There could be a slight chance she gave it to a community or another group because she was unable to care for it, but that seems unlikely.
That was my thought as well until I listened to the Dan White interview.
