  • Did I say that? * goes to check * Oh yeah, I did!

Well, I elaborated on that stroke of fridge logic in my Counterpart topic.

  • Brooding vampire loner vs. hot-headed pack-oriented werewolf.

Dissociative pragmatic lone wolf with a heart of gold archetype?

Care to explain how Kenny and Sarah are similar?

I forgot to post this earlier, so I'll reply with it now.

Both are Shadow Archetypes that represents (the player characters) Lee and Clementine's repressed flaws (aggression for Lee and helplessness for Clementine) and whom they form an encouragingly friendly relationship that later has a determinant affect on their later interaction. Both are emotion driven with a tendency towards negative emotions (particularly anger and anxiety, respectively), both have little to no regard for rules or authority at times (such as Kenny clashing with Lilly and Sarah lacking any interest in Carver's morning instructions), both are older than their friend (I assume Kenny is older than Lee's 37 and Sarah is 15 to Clementine's 11), and both are incredibly attached to their family members (Katjaa and Duck and Carlos, respectively; with Clementine as an implied extension).

I forget exactly where the idea first popped into my head, but there was a thread where Kenny was briefly invoked as concerning his screentime and I mentioned how I liked that Amid the Ruins had him sit off to the side so other characters could get some focus, something I often credit Sarah for doing. Then, with that thought still lingering in my head, TVTropes had listed them both as being Shadow Archetypes and the other similarities they happen to share suddenly popped into my head, which in turn was one of the inspirations for my Counterparts thread.

Not to go into rant mode here, but it also raised the question of why was Sarah suddenly not allowed to fulfill her potential with this purpose? She was the one of the only things by that episode that still gave Clementine a personal stake in the plot and talking to her after you save her from the trailer park seemed to be setting up some sort of reckoning or falling out with Clementine and/or Jane--then it's just like "Nope! Can't have her and Jane at the same time!"

  • Precisely. Kenny never trusted Jane and he did not believe her when she said it was an accident.

The whole thing could have been avoided if she hadn't planned what she did.

Well, you're right, but he did have a reason to get raged like that

  • That's true, even tough I shot Kenny, the tough that Jane killed AJ thinking that it was a 'liability' did cross my mind ( Considering what she said to Rebecca... )

  • And she referred to AJ as an "it" which i mean come on really? I dunno man! Jane just gave me the impression that she didn't care about AJ and only showed she did because she cared somewhat for Clem. If Clem wasn't around and Jane had been left with the baby I just cannot see her keeping him around

  • Well, she didn't know his gender yet, so you can't really blame her for that, but she did say to Rebecca "So... What are you gonna do with it?"

Actually that's incorrect. In episode 5 at the building Arvo took them all to, Jane says "i think it needs food or something" when looking at AJ. So even after he was born she still said it lol but yeah she does say what she did to Rebecca in episode 4 though as you said
