S3 will be about Javier's story and not Clementine's? Are you kidding me? So season 2 and 3 wasn't about Clem's story, it was about settin… moreg Clem up to meet Javier so we could learn about him. Do they not realize that people play this game because of her character and her story.
Might as well have made a totally new game about a new guy. Tbh I usually have faith in TTG but they really took a sharp left this time. Dammit. I was hoping this wouldn't happen.
I am still giving this game a chance. I personally don't have too much an issue with the story being Javier's, since I feel that Clementine works best with having a more supporting role.
I'm not the biggest fan of the show but I'll give it a try (you can watch them all on Rooster Teeth's Youtube channel)
It takes place in an alternate world named Remnant where creatures name Grimm, they fought against them for survival for years before discovering a mysterious element named Dust that allowed them to fight back. The show focuses on three girls with unique weapons and powers that form a team called RWBY (pronounced Ruby) at their school for Huntsman.
Don't want to say much more than that, they also have a comedy spin off called RWBY Chibi, but I'd recommend only watching that after finishing Volume 3 as it contains spoilers.
Yeah he said that, so it goes like:
S1: Clem depends on Lee
S2: Clem is on her own
S3: Clem is responsible and mature enough that someone else depends on her i.e. Javier
There's something Job said that really got my attention:
"Javier NEEDS Clem."
Or something along those lines.
Maybe they both lose people to the same enemy and so that binds them closer. What do you think?

I'm okay with Javier, but I want to play a little as Clementine as well... Or at least have her be a main character. Her story isn't finished, and I'd like to follow it to its conclusion.
I'm a little worried, but I think Telltale will deliver. It looks like Clem will have a major role this season, and Javier looks pretty cool.
I was also thinking about the finale of Season 3 being Clementine sacrificing herself for AJ, paralleling what Lee did for her back in Season 1.... What do you guys think?
Season 1 was designed to cater towards new people because they did not want to retell a story from the comic, nor did they want people to have to know the comics to jump in.

I think people would be really pissed, considering AJ is not really a fan-favorite in the fandom. I'm more inclined to think that whatever ending they give to Clem's story, it'll be completely determinant.

I don't really mind the focus on Javier - and I'm not saying that as a blind Telltale fanboy, but rather, I don't think that the Telltale Walking Dead universe needs to be reducted to Clementine as some are saying.

Besides, S1 was basically Lee's story (it started and ended with him), but I think we can all agree that that didn't stop Clementine from playing an extremely important role in it.

Exactly. If people wanna say that Season 2's story was just to butter people up for Javi, what about the transition from Season 1 to Season 2? Was Lee's story just a set up so that Clem could encounter Carver and eventually take AJ under her wing?

I know he said Javy was gonna be playing a bigger role than Clem, but did he specify that Javy was going to play more of a role in the whole season? If he didn't specify then I hope it's a bigger role in only episode 1.
They can't continue the story of Clementine, so we have new protoganist with a new story (and Clem will run somewhere near and tell something from her past).
Ah yes, you choice doesn't matter, because it's new story and new main hero, who cares about us choice in 2 past season?

I don't like it, honestly. And I'm not saying that I don't like Javier, because I don't know him yet (a couple seconds and some pictures can't tell you anything about a character), but I thought this game supposed to be about Clementine's story, since the beginning. Or am I wrong?
Well, I don't know for sure, and I don't know how to feel about this. Guess we just have to wait. Hoping for the best, of course.
I feel that Walking Dead is more of an expanded-universe type of situation. 400 Days and Michonne liked to look at other characters beyond the scope of Lee and Clem.

Yeah, the writers of Season 1 even said that Clem was added as a character to motivate Lee to stay in the group instead of leaving and not putting up with people's crap. I feel that people are retroactively assigning more significance to Clem because of Season 2. If anything, I'd say that Season 2 was a continuation of Lee's story since it dealt with the aftermath of Lee's impact on Clem.

Comments
The whole REASON I even LOVE Telltale's Walking Dead series is because I love Clem's character and story!
There was no shit other than Job's one damn sentence
"This is Javier's story"
And you can see the reactions in comments above
Yes; Volume 4 hype ^__^

Nothing new that we did not already know last time.

Personally I've been much more excited for Javier than I was for Clementine so this works for me.
I'm still very excited for this game, I'm just more excited for Clementine than Javier.
There is one significant thing actually, the fact that we will see the start of the outbreak from Javier's perspective with flashbacks.
I am also quite happy to see Clementine again and it is still a big plus that we can play as her. But I am also open to Javier's story too.
Here's the messenger they were talking about, if anyone's interested:

Personally I wished telltale didn't try to cater to new people.

I hope not. I believe Javier is probably going to die though.

Whoah whoah whoah, chill out bro. I'ma kill KevBru if Clem is hurt in any way, ya talking her death? I wish ttg never gets such an idea
Yes I get that, but S1 was a whole new story, different from the comics, little to no ties to it. But this season is a semi continuation. From S2.
Besides, S1 was basically Lee's story (it started and ended with him), but I think we can all agree that that didn't stop Clementine from playing an extremely important role in it.

Personally I feel that despite Lee being the playable character that the story was still about Clementine.
I've always felt that way. This is the story of a young girl struggling to survive in the zombie apocalypse.
I know he said Javy was gonna be playing a bigger role than Clem, but did he specify that Javy was going to play more of a role in the whole season? If he didn't specify then I hope it's a bigger role in only episode 1.

Ah yes, you choice doesn't matter, because it's new story and new main hero, who cares about us choice in 2 past season?
Ha.
I even changed my mind to do a pre-order.
Yeah I hope so to. Because the majority of us want to play as Clem mainly throughout the season.

That really sucks. Most of my excitment was because (I thought) it was about Clementine.
I feel that Walking Dead is more of an expanded-universe type of situation. 400 Days and Michonne liked to look at other characters beyond the scope of Lee and Clem.
I still think that, at a strictly fundamental level, it was Lee's story. S1 started with Lee, and it ended with his final breath.
Yes, exactly!
Writer S1 said so.
Yeah, the writers of Season 1 even said that Clem was added as a character to motivate Lee to stay in the group instead of leaving and not putting up with people's crap. I have uploaded the panel if anyone wants to watch it again.
O boy. People are already jumping to conclusions and getting angry.
Well they said it was Javier's story so I'm guessing they meant the whole season.
But it could work, I won't get (too) angry until I play it.
Telltale looooooves flashbacks. Hopefully they're not random triggers like in Michonne, but from Clem/Javier talking about it.
"...This is Javier's story"
I remember when I used to jump to conclusions too quickly when Telltale announced TFTB. I learned my lesson and now keep having an open mind.
